This was an interesting read with a nice writing style. It made me want to go out into nature more. The illustrations are beautiful.
Thank you so much to net galley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this book it was truly stunning!
I thought this book would entail more practical means of incorporating more nature into one’s life, but instead there’s a lot of standard self-help content like journaling prompts and other life-enriching suggestions. It’s not without value, but it’s not what I expected from the way the book presents itself. The illustrations are lovely, though!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
From the blurb, I assumed this was a book full of beautiful illustrations of plants, with some explanations or tips here and there about how to best make use of whatever space you have to have a few plants. It turns out it's a pseudoscience pamphlet about how having a detached house full of plants cures any illness and, if you happen to live in a city where you can't afford a bougie house in a bougie neighbourhood, like the authors do, you're just not smart and unwilling to magically cure your mental troubles by spending all of your free time and money on flowers.
I would have thought that, after two years suffering through coronavirus and seeing closer than ever how pseudoscience kills not just those brainwashed, but also at-risk people, a publisher would be more weary of editing this kind of drivel. They obviously aren't.

This book was as much about mindfulness as it was about finding or bringing nature into your urban landscape. I long to have green around me and need the colors and scents of fresh flowers to get me through the long winter season in Minnesota. Chock full of ideas for city dwellers to get their fill of nature and playfully illustrated.
I love the illustrations, the artwork, the font style, it gives off a calm and creative vibe. I also love you don't have to read the book in one way. You can choose to start at any chapter or read the book from cover to cover, you'd still get the gist. Indeed as I was perusing the pages, "I never thought of it that way" came to mind. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in gardening, self-help and/or are looking for ways to stimulate their creativity.
This book is exquisite. It is a beautiful piece of art, as well as an informative look at gardening and the plants we love. The colours are so soothing, and the pictures make reading this a delight.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read a copy of this book.
While I did not have a chance to download the book in time for full perusal, I reviewed the Amazon sample and have the sense that this book would not have been my speed. The list of "energy givers" like "smiles at strangers" and "moonlit strolls," and the suggestion to track whether one's productivity aligns with one's menstrual cycle, both set the cynic in me on edge (as did the phrase "botanical cocktail"). The casual illustrations and hints of New Age may appeal to the kind of people that have Instagrams of sunsets and coffee art, and I am just the wrong audience.
INTO GREEN is a gorgeously illustrated guide with helpful strategies for using nature to boost health and creativity. “Green” designers based in London, the co-authors include instructive stories from their own lives, tips on planting and gardening, delicious recipes, and more.
I found that my breathing and heart rate slowed as I read, bringing back memories of glorious hikes in the Colorado Rockies. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a natural antidote for stress.

Completely obsessed. “If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that small pleasures are powerful”. This book is a sparkling gem and I can’t wait to buy a copy for myself, my mom and all of my closest friends. Into Green is a glorious celebration of our natural world and the exponential healing powers it possesses. A thoughtful journal of inspirational anecdotes, insightful garden tips, recipes to ignite your senses, and so much more – all playfully sprinkled with darling illustrations. This book is a must have for any nature-loving, dirt-digging, garden enthusiast in your life!
Absolutely Beautiful.
I have been devastated that I could not get the full book to download. But I have been researching online like crazy for snippets.
I am so excited about the concept of this book and the gorgeous artwork.
This is a nice nature-based book with ideas for connecting with nature. I liked some of the activities and I appreciate the sweet art but I found it a bit lacking for some unnamed reason and particularly wordy. Perhaps I am already plenty connected with nature. I also would have liked photos for the activities like the nature dyeing. This is one that I might need to be in the right mindset for, but others will probably find it delightful and inspiring.
Into Green is a wonderful feel good book using all forms of nature to enrich our lives. The authors practise what they preach and the book is full of their own experiences and anecdotes. It includes walking in nature, bringing nature into the home, planting, growing and generally just enjoying nature in all forms. A lovely present for all nature lovers, and for anyone who needs to chill out and smell the roses.
Into Green takes a holistic approach to using nature as a means of enrichment, whether it's mental, physical or external. Throughout this gorgeous book designed by Rose Ray, writer Caro Langton invites the readers to experience nature with all of our senses. From walking in nature, to digging our fingers into dirt and planting our own veggie garden or flowers, to taking a moment to inhale all the beautiful, fresh scents and to meditating amidst the relaxing white noise of nature, there are countless ways we can both find and lose ourselves in nature.
Nature can be a source of inspiration or freedom, it can be something to share, but also something to enjoy alone, because when you're in nature, you're never truly alone. You can draw it, drink it, wear it and protect it to achieve harmony like no other. The relationship between a human being and nature is truly special, and this little book full of stunning artwork and diverse ideas on how to reconnect to the wilderness around you would be an amazing present for the nature-loving people in your life and for yourself.
Huge thank you to NetGalley, Rose Ray, Caro Langton and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the advanced reader copy.
