An interesting read. I was mite interested in the personal stories than the academic side of the book. I’m interested in taking the behind the big house tours.
I don’t agree with all that the author asserts, but I think she has done an admirable job in advancing her theme, arguments, and skills toward her endeavor.

I enjoyed this book. I feel like it had so much wonderful information, and I learned a lot. I enjoyed the variety of ways the author chose to discuss the history of the South and slavery.
