I can't really recommend this story. I found the art a bit unpolished in ways that'd be easy enough to fix (somewhat transparent or shaky lines, cells that appeared a bit grainy), and there wasn't anything especially original about the storyline. I don't see the relevance of the worldbuilding to the story.

I loved the romance in this graphic novel! Such a sweet story that many students will enjoy. I liked the body positivity with the main female character and want to see more of it in graphic novels.

I enjoyed this cute graphic novel which had a magical/romance theme. The illustrations were colourful and pleasing. There wasn't a great deal of depth to this tale, but it was satisfying and enjoyable. Perfect for middle grade or junior secondary years, I will be promoting this to our Year 7 and 8 students.

I received this arc from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the look of this beautifully illustrated YA graphic novel and I will be heartily recommending to the young people in my library. I loved the sweet story of Ray and Laurie's romance. Not being familiar with WEBTOON, it took me a while to figure out their magical world, their gifts and abilities (Ray is a seer and Laurie works in a bakery that sells drinks and baked goods laced with spells) and the structure of their society, but I loved all of it. Lovely fantasy setting, adorable main characters and gratifying friendships that are supportive and not-at-all saccharine. As is usual in romances our protagonists have to overcome problems and issues that arise. Does love conquer all in the end? I encourage you to read to find out.

Ray is an up and coming Seer who has been focused on becoming the youngest Magic Council member for over half her life. Membership to the council comes with the requirement of such secrecy that everyone who has ever known you has to forget you. While training for the role she meets Laurie, a young man who dreams of becoming a musician. Together they begin to question the coping strategies they've come to rely on, and find their way towards the adult versions of themselves.
This was a lovely, sweet graphic novel which perfectly captured the essence of refinding yourself as you grow up, set in an interesting magical world.
There's queer representation, lovely friendships and overall it's an empowering and inspiring story.

A really cute and enjoyable graphic novel, I really did like this. I thought that Ray and Laurie were lovely characters to get behind. Ray was quite determined to make a difference with her gifts, but the Council wouldn't really give her the opportunity. I loved the idea of magic in baked goods. As a baker myself, I thought this was a lovely use of magic. Cakes that gave you different emotions and spells to make you feel better? Genius. I thought that their relationship was very cute and thought that the ups and downs were quite real and could be understood in reality. The ending to each season did want me to find out more from the characters. I'm glad that we do get to find out Marigold's past, and how she was in the Council and in the similar position to Ray in her feelings about working there. The ending was very wholesome, especially with both the characters doing their own growing up and development, but ultimately a happy ending. I would recommend this book to those that liked Pumpkinheads as I do feel that this had the same vibe whilst reading.

Crumbs was a very charming and colorful read; I loved the characters, artwork, and the story of this graphic novel. I really appreciated the narrative of young people still discovering what they want from life, who they want to be, and who they want to be in relationships with. While at times the plot felt like it might have been dragging a bit, I think this space really gave the characters room and time to grow. I thought Ray's uncertainties about what she wanted to do, her fears about letting people down, and her eventual choices to make her own path were all very compelling and I was really rooting for her. I also liked her relationship with Laurie, and how the conflict between them was addressed. Lastly, I loved the casual queerness and diversity within the graphic novel. All in all it was a heart-warming read and I really liked it.

I originally read this story when it was a webtoon and I thought it was very cute back then. Rereading it now, it is still very cute and well written. I love the characters and the magical elements. It is an easy world to fall in love with.. And the art style is gorgeous, definitely a must read for that alone. I am very happy that this webtoon is being published into a physical graphic novel; it is well deserved.

3.5 stars for this one. Cute love story between a Seer and a Musician and how they come together and then have to decide what’s best for their individual futures. Only thing that bothered me was that some of the chapter transitions seemed to shift without a proper link. I loved how the different pastries Aunt Selina bakes have to do with emotions.

This was such a wonderful, sweet graphic novel. I loved the magic system that Danie Stirling has created. The art is so vibrant and beautiful, and the characters really jumped off the page for me.

I read this book as a Webtoon, so I'm just gonna go ahead and fill this out right now because it was excellent and I am so happy to see it published!! A very good story about a magic world, communication within relationships, and a young person's crisis on choosing the right job for them.

I so wish I would have found this on WebToons because I was definitely missing out. This was such a cute story and the art was beautiful. While I do wish the story kept going it also had a very satisfying ending. Both of the characters were able to grow not only with each other but separate and I loved it!

A young seer named Ray befriends a barista named Laurie at a magical bakery, discovering first love along the way.

This was sweet, but I felt let down in the end. I liked the overall message, and the ability for Ray to know what she did and didn't want. I also like how supportive all the characters were of one another but unfortunately, I was just bored at times, and I kept finding myself putting it down and avoiding picking it back up.

I really enjoyed this! The fantasy world and use of magic was so interesting. I loved the bakery. And the phones! Stella and Wobble were characters in their own right. Ray and Laurie were pretty adorable together and I liked how they worked out their relationship issues. While it was over 300 pages I could've read even more!

A very sweet romance set in a fantasy world where magic, werewolves, and nature spirits are common. The story primarily focuses on a teenage couple, one a would-be musician and the other a seer on the fast track to political success, and their relationship. The romance was fine, but I found the world particularly interesting and would love to see more stories set in it.

A Seer who can only see the present and an aspiring musician working in a bakery become friends and then a little more than friends. I loved the mix of magic and technology and everyday life!

Content: Clean!

I absolutely adored this book for a myriad of reasons. The art. The fact that Ray is not a tiny adorable little thing and NOBODY MAKES A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT! She's lovely, and talented, and caring, and wise. This is a great graphic novel about the power of personal choice, including choosing when to walk away from something or someone and when not to.

This was one of the most charming graphic novels I've read in quite sometime! The characters, the world building, the romance. THE ART! The only other WebToon comics I've read are Lore Olympus and The Wrath and the Dawn. If you like either of those I think you'll adore this one as well. Stirling just really has a way with storytelling.
