My third visit to Olympus and I enjoyed Wicked Beauty. Helen was a great FMC!

We met Helen in Elctic Idol, and I was excited to read her book. I also loved that it was going to be MMF. Achilles and Patroclus were great, but I would have liked a little more background. At the start of the book, they were already an established couple, so we don’t get to see them fall for one another. Because honestly, I didn’t get what Patroclus saw in Achilles for a while. However, the end made up for a lot of that.

I loved the story. The world that Katee Robert has created is fantastic. The Thirteen are so exciting, and I love seeing how each one is different and how their titles pass. In Wicked Beauty, we gt much more insight into the world of the Thirteen. I liked the politics that came into play, and I hope they continue in the rest of the series. The Ares trial was so fun, and it was a great backdrop to the love story.

While Electric Idol is still my favorite, I really enjoyed this. Though I must admit, I would have liked just a little more MM with the F.

Another great entry into the Dark Olympus series! I will admit to being a little wary of the Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles trio, mainly because I wondered what the addition of Helen to an already established relationship would do to that relationship, but I was happy with the HEA.

This throuple is hot, hot, hot and each character brings something needed to the relationship. Ambition and military prowess, the ability to navigate the politics of Olympus, and the cunning to reason and plot it all out. These three are sure to become a powerhouse in the books to come and I look forward to seeing more of them.

I notice the next book is Apollo and Cassandra, which is fabulous, but I'm really looking forward to Zeus and Callisto's book. Fingers crossed it's coming soon.

This book was all things spicy and good!!! I love this series and this book!! Katee Robert’s can do no wrong!

actually quite good - the spice was great and the plot was not lost to the romance and helped grow the world that Robert seems to be increasingly growing throughout this series. definitely my favourite of the three so far

Unexpected but absolutely loved it!! Helen Kasios is tired of being a pawn for her siblings, she wants a seat at the table. When she takes a shot at becoming the next Ares, she doesn't expect to fall for the competition..
Achilles and Patroclus have a plan and that's to ensure Achilles wins. While Patroclus had a plan for everything, adding Helen to their bed was not one of them.
This book was fantastic! The twists and turns had you engaged. You didn't want the book to end.
I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.

Featuring a princess fighting for her own future and in the process letting off some steam with two sexy men, this was a quick read and hard to put down. While the sex scenes were great to read, there is something lacking to the throuple that makes Helen feel like a third wheel rather than an active participant. I probably would have preferred reading just Achilles and Patrolocus but did appreciate Helen making her stand as more than just a princess.

This is my favorite book so far in Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series. Achilles, Patroclus, and Helen of Troy are all in competition and, eventually, the same bed. Robert's signature spiciness is here and I felt like the characters were a bit better developed than in Dark Olympus #2. Would recommend.

Another brilliant installment in the Dark Olympus series! A perfect mix of plot and romance, you won't want to put this book down!

I utterly enjoyed reading this book!
First of all: the representation was soo good! I never read a book that had a character use they/them pronouns. I loved it.
The three main characters had a great dynamic and I loved them together as well as everyone on their own.
The plot would have still worked without spice (which I prefer) but the spice was of course a great bonus!
Don´t even get me started on the spice.. it was +chefs kiss+ 5 stars. Really well written.
Overall I enjoyed the plot as well as the spicy scenes a lot and would definitely recommend the book to every spicy romance reader!

I enjoyed this book, Katee Robert always has an interesting way of reimaninging a myth. The dark olympus series is no different. I went into this book blind and enjoyed. Katee Robert has a knack for writing complex relationships and characters. This book has polyamory and its difficult to write as you have 3 people in the relationship so you must write each persons relationship with one another and then as the group as a whole. Katee Robert did an amazing job of this and i got attached to Hellen, Achillies and Patroclus. I know there are some backlash on this book but in my experience it was a fun read and beautifully executed.

Thanks to the publisher for sending me an eARC for an honest review.

4.5/5 stars

I’m really enjoying this series, and after the things we learned at the end of this one, I’m excited to see where the author takes the next books.
Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus were all good characters. They were well written, and I liked them individually as well as together. I liked that Achilles and Patroclus are already in an open relationship when they introduce Helen into their unit. It created an interesting dynamic, but it also highlighted some of the emotions that both Achilles and Patroclus had to face. The chemistry between the characters was good, and I really liked the relationship.
I wish we’d gotten more of the other characters competing for Ares. The whole tournament in general felt like it was background for the relationship drama at times. I wanted to know more about the other characters that were mentioned. I also felt like the political aspect of the series was pushed to the background a bit. The politics were there, but didn’t feel as intense as in the previous books.
I did like this one a lot, and I thought it was a good addition to the series.

ARC provided by NetGalley for my honest opinion. Smut alert! If you love the smutty stuff, you will love this book. The remix twist was just the right amount of nail-biting suspense with heat.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC.

I had heard A LOT about the previous books from Katee Robert on TikTok. I had to request this one!!

Smut? There 👀🔥Definitely read if you're into it. Very steamy!!

I went in blind to this book. Beyond hearing of the author, I knew nothing about this book or what it was going to be about. I honestly thought it was a Snow White retelling, based off the cover, but Boy! Was I wrong! That's not a bad thing though. Not at all.

Having not read the previous books in the series, I was a bit caught off-guard by the first chapter. I'm not a follower of Greek mythology, so the names were a bit hard to keep straight at first. But I pushed through, and really started to get into it. Then I hit chapter 4 and realized this was not what I was expecting AT ALL, and I'm here for it.

This story was fantastic. It's like Hunger Games for adults. I loved the main characters. Helen seemed a bit like the little princess everyone thought she was, but she quickly showed she was so much more than a pretty face. I loved how brash Achilles was, how completely sure of himself he was, and how much he loved Patroclus, and eventually, Helen. And I loved Patroclus's deep thinking and consistency, and how his presence in the throuple was stabilizing.

I was biting my nails with my heart racing through the trials, and I loved the way it played out. It had me guessing right up to the end. The only thing I wish for was a few more chapters at the end to show the HEA in action. These characters were great, and I'm definitely interested in reading the other books in the series.

My Queen Katee can't do no wrong. I've read all of her books and every time I'm amazed by how she continously makes me fall in love with her writing. Wicked Beauty is the third book in the Dark Olympus series. They're interconnected but can all be read as standalones. I absolutely LOVED this one! The first book in the series, Neon Gods, completely blew up on social media. But for me Wicked Beauty is the current crown jewel of the series. I've read my fair share of Achilles retellings but this is my favorite without a doubt. The chemistry! The steam! The spice! The competition! The drama! It has it all and more. Fair warning: if you don't enjoy reading smut, this is not the book for you. But if you do.... go read this book because PHEW!

MMF Romance

HOLY HOTNESS 🥵 this book will leave you sweating!!!

Wicked Beauty is the 3rd installment in the Dark Olympus series. This time we follow Helen Kasios as she navigates the politics of Olympus. Her brother, the new Zeus, decrees that Helen will wed the new Ares, chosen by winning the Olympus tournament. Helen has other plans though; she decides to compete for her own hand. Her competition is fierce: there’s her abusive ex, Paris, warrior Atalanta, Olympus outsiders the Minotaur & Theseus among many others. But the most dangerous just might turn out to be the men she can’t help but be drawn to: Achilles and Patroclus. Achilles had a plan; he is going to be the next Ares. His long time boyfriend Patroclus also had a plan; enter the tournament to support Achilles and be at his side for as long as possible. Neither counted on how each would be attracted to Helen. What ensues is a hot mess in the best of ways.

In Katee Robert’s own words, she’s moving ‘from retelling to reimagining starting with Wicked Beauty’ and she could not have done a better job. I absolutely love this story! I know some people haven’t liked that Helen was added to Achilles and Patroclus’ relationship but the fresh take works & I think it’s definitely worth a chance.

Best part of this book are the characters. Each one is unique and written with such nuance. Helen is a badass, Patroclus is a genius and Achilles is an enigma. We see different traumas, different personalities, and different ways to love come together in a perfectly imperfect relationship. I also like the tournament scenes and how they pay homage to different Greek myths (ex.Minotaur & Maze and Achilles fatal wound). It’s got action and heart and tons of smut 😏.

I’ve seen comparisons of the Ares Tournament from this book to the TriWizard tournament from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I think it’s definitely similar with the In my opinion, the comparison goes a little further. Like the 4th Harry Potter book, the plot of Wicked Beauty is setting up the rest of the series to have a central storyline and common enemy. Now, along with the central love story we’ll also see Olympus deal with the failing barrier and the threat of Minos. I’m so excited to see where the series goes!

Overall, I loved this book! It is chaotic and exhilarating and hilarious and so so sexy 🤩. At some points I thought the characters got repetitive and I was disappointed that there was no epilogue, but I think it’s a great read. Katee Robert is on my instant buy author list but Dark Olympus is my favorite series from her. Now the wait begins for Radiant Sin in 2023 😩.

Sooo, where should I begin???

Wicked Beauty is the third book in the Dark Olympus series. This is This was steamy, delicious, beautifully written, modernization of Helen of Troy, Achilles, & Patroclus. I have to admit, that this is my first book in this series. I came into this blind and not knowing what to expect. I was literally hooked from the very beginning. The only Katee Roberts book I've read was "A Worthy Opponent" and that was on the "Chapters Interactive Stories" App and I totally adored the condensed version. Actually, reading her book was literally on a whole new level. Fantastic world-building and wonderful character development. Let me tell you, there were some HOT, FIERY steam and tension that was completely undeniable. DEFINITELY going to TBR the whole series and check out her complete library. I think I found a new favorite author!!!

Hands-down this is my favorite book in the Dark Olympus series. Wicked Beauty is the third book in the series and follows Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles. I'm not sure why, but the Dark Olympus books just didn't resonate with me as much as the Wicked Villain ones, but this book really hit all the spots. Maybe because it followed the more Wicked Villain formula of non-traditional, more poly relationships or because Katee really began to depart from the established Greek mythology, this book really shone.

Katee Robert is a 1 click author for me, and this is definitely a book that proves why.
Helen has always been in the vipers nest of Olympus. She just wants a chance to be her own person, and when the title of Ares is up for grabs, she takes the chance to enter. She expected the 3 trials to be hard- what she didn't expect was for there to be two hot men to throw her for a loop.

This book has the thrill of a mini hunger games, and ALLLLLLLL the spice. It was thrilling to see the story woven in such a way where you get the action, and spice.
I did feel that the ending was a little rushed, but still nicely tied up. Very very good book, I highly recommend that it be added to your tbr at the very tippy top.
