okayyyyy 👀❤️‍🔥🥵🥰🖤🤪 I SEE U KATEE ROBERTS

I have no way to describe this other than that it was HOT (brb while i go take a cold shower). I wasn’t so convinced on throwing Helen into Achilles & Patroclus, but it kinda works? I think they balance each other out fairly well, and I really loved all 3 of their characters separately too. How are these men so HOT???? AND RESPECTFUL??? they must be protected at all costs. and Helen??? a bad ass bitch!! She was an excellent MC and although an underestimated party girl, she refuses to be somebody’s prize and shows just how strong she really is.

This was honestly addicting. While it is mostly romance focused, the plot was somewhat there too (as some has said, it’s giving sexy hunger games vibes HELLO)!! I wish this was longer so that we could get more plot, but I really think Katee Roberts has set herself up well to continue this series and i’m SO here for it.

now, i do have a confession to make…. i havent read the first 2 books in this series ☹️ i knowwww kill me now, but i honestly wasn’t lost or confused throughout this book. I was missing some obvious background info, but it was still enjoyable. i do plan on going back to read the other 2, so don’t get your panties in a twist.

Thank you NetGalley & Sourcebooks Casablanca for an arc of this book in exchange for a honest review!! 3.75⭐️

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book is not hot! It’s fiery! It’s explosive! Very Very Spicy. This is book 3 in the series and it’s a little different that the other two books but in a good way. This might be my favorite so far in the series. This books tells the story of Helen as she is trying to pass the three trials to become the next Ares, leader of the Olympus army. Total flew through the book and I can’t wait to see what’s next in the series.

I went into this blind. I had no idea what Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles story is, or if there is one. We've got snippets of Helens character in book 1 and 2 and her storyline being front and center in this one was truly eye opening. Helen hides ALOT, as do many characters within KR's Olympus.

The plot is one that I thoroughly enjoyed but laughed at during certain parts. Ares died. Ares is one of the Thirteen and needs to be replaced. What better way to replace Ares by running through a set of trials to eliminate those who stepped forward to compete for the title.

For me, Patroclus stole the show at the beginning of the book and then Helen rounded it up. The chemistry is there. There humdinger one liners are there. The inner dialogue and hurdles are there. All in all I enjoyed this book. I had yet to read a triad book, and I'll definitely be reading more. Especially if they're a Katee Robert book!

Actually put it more towards
4.5 stars but rounding up
VERY spicy 🌶 (18+)

I received this book as an ARC from @netgalley and here is my honest review. Please note this is incredibly spicy if you don’t like that sort of thing then just keep scrolling

This book offer something a bit different than the first two in the series. Wicked Beauty follows Helen’s story. Shes been a pawn in the cut throat city of Olympus and has suffered a lot between her father being Zeus and an abusive ex-boyfriend. She’s definitely a survivor and seeks to gain power and make everyone around her see her for the strong and fierce woman she is. This book also introduces us to Achilles and Patroclus and their story. Achilles is an orphan who grew up with nothing and is determined to make his mark on the world and is vying for the title of Ares same power as Helen. Patroclus is a long ago childhood friend to Helen and the long term partner of Achilles who is there to support Achilles in his pursuit of the title of Ares.

Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus are well developed characters that are complex in their flaws, their wants, and their reactions. I never questioned whose perspective I was reading from because the way each of these characters think it’s so distinct from one another. None of these characters are perfect but that only serves to make them feel real in a way I haven’t read in a long time.

The book was incredibly spicy and a really fun read. I have never been let down by Katee Roberts books on the spicy front and I have read all her books up to this. like that the characters feel real and messy in the best way.

This book also includes a lot of elements that seem to be setting up for a grander plot for the overall series. That leave me eager for what will happen next.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the Dark Olympus series. Dare I say, it’s my favorite??

Wicked Beauty has to be the busiest book in this series so far. Helen undergoes three trials to claim the name Ares. Along the way, she’s also hooking up with Achilles and Potroclus.

Who are also running for the name Ares.

I had so much fun with this book. It had so much angst and spice!!!

I’m so excited to see how she will continue with this series. It seems like things are going to start ramping up!

I love the Dark Olympus Series, and this book was a lot of fun. I'm a giant Greek mythology nerd, so this series is right up my alley and is providing a good intro into modern romance novels, which is not a genre that I've read much in the past. Wicked Beauty tells the story of Helen as she is trying to pass the three trials to become the next Ares, leader of the Olympus army. But she finds herself drawn to Achilles and his long term partner Patroclus, who are also competing to be the next Ares. This is my first MMF romance, and I was really impressed by the portrayal of all the different thoughts and emotions that can happen in a poly relationship. The action sequences during the trials are exciting, and halfway through I wasn't sure who I was routing for, though I love me a strong woman (I see you Atalanta). As with the other Dark Olympus books, this book delivers on the drama an intrigue among the Thirteen, which is what has me coming back to this series book after book. This book does seem to be missing the Epilogue that was present in the previous two. That said, I think the drama with the Thirteen is really starting to ramp up, so maybe cozy at home scenes are a little out of place when so much is on the line.

Book Review

Wicked Beauty by @katee_robert
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
VERY spicy 🌶 (18+)

I received this book as an ARC from @netgalley and oh my! First of all, this is incredibly spicy book so if that’s not your thing - keep scrolling.

I think this book was by far the best book of the series. Imo it has a plot that served most entertaining. It’s a battle to the finish line for the next Ares & we have both Patroclus and Achilles along with Helen all fighting for the role.

This book was incredibly spicy & I won’t even lie some parts were a bit much for me 😂 but I thoroughly enjoyed the plot of the book. I thought it was her best plot and storyline yet of the series! I loved this one also because some of the challenges and arena concept reminded me of Greek mythology and it was a fun experience!

10/10
I LOVE IT!!!
But before I continue, I need to warn 18+. Little ones, bye for now.
.
Also, I read this book before it was published, thanks to @netgalley.
The third book of the Dark Olympus series, Wicked Beauty, the story takes on Achilles, Helen, and Patroclus. Do not worry that it is the third book, since the books are all focused on different characters, you can start with whatever you want, I personally started with this book. And yes, I listed three names 😈. Because we have a "throuple", not a "couple" 🥵. If polyamory is not for you, let me tell you in advance, do not come near this book, but if you say that it does not bother you, let's continue.
The book is even more than this trio I mentioned, it's not erotica after all (but the smut level is something else 🥵). Those who are familiar with the series will know; in this universe, names like Zeus, and Poseidon are actually a title, a position. Helen, on the other hand, is the sister of Zeus and Aphrodite and has lived in the shadow of the others all her life as an ornamental object. The new position that has opened with the death of Ares is an excellent chance for Helen to prove herself, however, her brother had different plans for him.
Achilles, on the other hand, had to prove himself all his life because he was an orphan, and this Ares position is the perfect chance to make all of Olympus remember him forever. With the help of his lover, Patroclus, they decide to participate in the competition, but an unknown that even Patroclus cannot predict is included in the equation.
As you can see, the book satisfies the reader both romantically and erotically and leaves not even a page that can be boring with its slightly dystopian and fantasy features. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and I highly recommend it.
Also, I need to read Neon Gods and Electric Idol as soon as possible, I can never get enough of the universe 🤍

I really enjoy the twist on Olympus and its Gods in this book. I also enjoy the representation of diverse sexual orientation. However, I had trouble connecting with the characters and their relationship. For me it seemed to go too hard on the steamy and the action too quickly to really connect. I also felt like the challenges weren't as vivid in my mind as I would like them to be. The first challenge especially was difficult for me to envision. It was an okay read. I have liked the middle book the best so far. Being an arc, there were also quite a few misspelling and grammar issues.

Warning that the steam factor is uber high with this one.

Finally decided to give this one a try! I loved the schemes and the political intrigue in this one. The chemistry between the characters were incredible.

Wicked Beauty is show-stopping! Katee Robert dazzles audiences again with a swoon worthy romance!

Wicked Beauty is a hot and lustful, intense love story. Despite the heat, the characters are open, honest, and sincere with one another. Robert stuns with Wicked Beauty, a story of healing, acceptance, and finding love when you least expect it.

At first glance, Wicked Beauty may seem like a story of love amidst the chaos of competition. However, at its core, it’s a story about self-worth and self-love. Robert’s characters are incredible forces who do not let their pasts define them. Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus all fight tooth and nail for the respect they deserve.

All three characters are damaged in different ways. Despite this, they are unyielding in following their dreams. While an unlikely trio, Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus may be the only ones who can mend each other’s hearts and save them from the depths of themselves.

Wicked Beauty tells the story of Helen Kasios. She’s been abused before and vows to never suffer again. It also tells the story of Achilles. He grew up with nothing and is determined to make his life matter. Patroclus is prided as a man of logic and reason. A man intent on using his skills to help his soulmate Achilles win the title of Ares.

As competitors to one another, they should be enemies. However, none of them can deny the attraction they feel for each other. Are Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus destined to be soulmates forever? Will the competition’s end separate them for good? Read and find out! You do NOT want to miss out on Katee Robert’s third entry in her Dark Olympus series!

Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert is fantastic! I couldn’t stop reading. It is highly entertaining without needing a degree in Greek mythology. The racially and sexually inclusive characters navigate an atypical relationship with a good amount of spice.

As much as I was looking forward to this, unfortunately it wasn’t for me. I found it slow often and just couldn’t get into it. Unfortunately it was a dnf for me.

Katee Robert has done it again! When I received my arc, I was absolutely ecstatic. I love the Dark Olympus series, and each book only gets better and better. I think Electric Idol is still my favorite, but I thoroughly enjoyed Wicked Beauty, and I can't wait to see what's in store for us next.

In this novel, Ares has died and the title is up for grabs for anyone who can complete three physical trials. Helen, Zeus's sister, is determined to compete until he offers her up as the winning Ares's wife. In an act of defiance, Helen enters the trails, alongside various characters like the Minotaur, Theseus, Paris, Hector, and Achilles and Patroclus. Longtime lovers, Achilles and Patroclus have teamed up to propel Achilles forward as Ares and they won't make it easy for Helen to win.

The stakes are higher than ever in this continuation of the series. I loved getting to know more about Helen. All of the women in Dark Olympus are headstrong and likable despite their flaws in a way that's endearing. Helen is especially endearing, and I was rooting for her the entire time. Despite Achilles shining brightly throughout, I really wanted more of Patroclus. I would love to see an extra epilogue or something toward the end.

The romance is definitely different from the first two books, in a "just getting started" way. I was left wanting more and unsatisfied. In Neon Gods and Electric Idol, we get to experience more domesticity and sweetness. But Wicked Beauty lacks a lot of that because of the time constraints of the trials.

Overall, an enjoyable third entry that I devoured. 4.5 stars.

Thank you to Katee Robert and NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and to the Publisher for letting me review this eARC of Wicked Beauty.

I adored this. Katee always makes a good book, there hasn't been one that I have read from her that left me disappointed. I feel like with the Dark Olympus series, it keeps just getting better and better. I loved Neon Gods, I loved Electric Idol and I love this. Wicked Beauty focuses on Helen, Achilles and Patroclus and how they want to be the new Ares (in this series, the Gods are more so like titles and roles). To become the new Ares they have to go through several hard trials which can even lead to death all the while having to battle with their feelings.

Wicked Beauty: 5/5⭐️
Katee Robert is the queen of many things.
Queen of Spice? Check.
Queen of characters with depth? Check.
Queen of inclusive writing? Check.
Queen of modernizing mythology? CHECK!

I have been granted the great pleasure to read an advanced copy of Wicked Beauty, Katee Robert’s newest book that comes out ONE MONTH from today.

Wicked Beauty follows Helen of Troy, sister of Zeus, and acquaintance to some of the most important people in Olympus. When her brother offers her up as a prize in a battle for power and the title of Ares, Helen submits her name to compete.

She isn’t the only one who wants the job, though, and she must compete against former lovers, mysterious outsiders, and even partners Achilles and Patroclus in order to win her freedom.

As her relationship with these players changes, so might her desires and motivations in the tournament. Can love, lust, or anything in between stop Helen from pursuing this fight??

Like holy moly. This book was SO GOOD, and I cannot wait to buy a physical copy in June. If you need me, I’ll be running to the store to buy everything Katee Robert has ever written!

Katee Robert has done it again!
This was a wicked good time, see what I did there? LOL
But seriously, these three characters have such a dynamic and explosive chemistry that scorched the pages. I love that each character was fully fleshed out, formed, and knew who they were. I'm a huge fan of Helen of Troy, but never Paris in the lore, so the idea that Katee twisted it to nearly my dream means the world!
This lore inspired romance was perfection! I didn't need a true retelling, I needed something that was pure Katee Robert with danger, heat, and twists and that was exactly what I got.
And the way that this book pushed the world building to the next level of what's to come?
YES!!!
This is a full 10 stars, Katee! I cannot wait for the next book!

Many thanks to @netgalley for an ARC of Wicked Beauty.

Peter La Fleur: There's someone out there for everybody.
Owen: You think?
Peter La Fleur: Absolutely. In some cases, there's two somebodies for one person. I like to call that "the jackpot".

I have loved this series since I read Neon Gods, the Dark Olympus series is just perfection. Wicked Beauty is a MMF romance (my first throuple!) and it did NOT disappoint. I absolutely love Katee Robert’s writing, the quick pace, endearing characters who are always willing to sacrifice and improve themselves for the ones they love.

Helen/Patroclus/Achilles is the throuple dreams are made of. The book follows them as they compete to be the new Ares. Achilles and Patroclus have been together for 12 years and they are in the competition to win it for Achilles.

Helen, sister to Perseus (the new Zeus), is done being seen as just a pretty face and decides to compete for Ares to finally prove everyone wrong.

The chemistry, intrigue, and love in this book was top notch. I was smiling the whole book, and I can’t wait for the next in the series! Love love love it!!!

This book is just as good as the first two in the series. I was a little worried because sometimes the M/F/M can be oddly hard to follow during spicy scenes, but Katee Robert is one of the few authors that can write situations like that and make it amazing to read as well as easy to follow. The plot is also just as good as the first two and kept me engaged and NEEDING to know what happened. All three of the main characters are so well written in their own POV's that you as a reader don't miss a beat in the story. I can't wait for the next... (I'l be prating to the bookish Gods that it's not too far off!)

Probably my favorite so far from the Dark Olympus series! I love a good competition/trial plot but then we add in a hot throuple situation! I’m here for it!
