Unfortunately this will be a short review as i struggled to get through this novel. I really didn't enjoy it and was saddened to discover how much I didn't like it as i was looking forward and intrigued by the blurb. Sadly i found the characters lacklustre and borderline irritating and felt turned off by the romance. Definitely not my idea of steamy writing or irresistible characters.

smut was on point, plot was severely lacking, seems like the main conflict and ending were rushed. it felt like the author forgot to wrap up the conflict so she just ended it.

This was a great addition to the Dark Olympus series!! I will say it was my least favorite of the two others but as always Katee continues to blow me away with her relatable characters and great plot weaving with all the spice.

So deliciously good! I love a well-done MMF story, and Katee Robert's always does it right! Chemistry is off-the page scorching, and the myth retelling tugged at my history-loving heart-strings. This book is part of a series, but I hadn't actually read all of them and caught up quickly enough. Fast pace. Plenty of action (in and out of the bedroom). Great character dynamic, and a satisfying ending. Five stars!!!

I loved the overall story but...Did I enjoy the beginning of this romance? No. But I did enjoy the ending. It just felt very wrong that just when Achilles said no touching Helen by either of them that's the first thing he does. And I get it, Achilles and Patroclus "weren't exclusive" but COME ON! There was an agreement and in those types of relationships, like in any other relationship, communication is key. IDK, it felt like cheating, other than that I have no complaints.

Thank you to Sourcebooks for a gifted copy of this ARC. All opinions are my own.

PHEW - this one was HOT HOT HOT! Definitely not for the faint of heart haha. The plot was exciting with the trial to become the next Ares. I thought the characters were likeable and I loved how much they care for each other despite being competitors. If you're looking for a plot driven book, this is probably not the right author for you. But if you are looking for something spicy, fun and fast paced, pick this one up!

I loved everything about the relationships of our main characters! They just understood each other on a basic level once they stopped fighting their attraction. There was enough naughtiness to keep a romance reader happy AND there was consent! Good book and I can't wait to read the next one!

Wow! This book almost leaves as speechless as much as it has me questioning my sexuality! Achilles, Patrocles and Helen are hot, hot, hot!!! Omg what a great book! I couldnt put it down!

Katee Robert’s third installment in the Dark Olympus series continues to delight. This foray into the world of Olympus brings with it the challenge to become the newest member of the Thirteen. Despite her brother Zeus’ plan to use her as part of the prize, Helen enters the contest intent on winning. What she did not intend to do was fall in love with Achilles and his best friend Patroclus. The world building is, as ever, fabulous with new characters and threats introduced. The spice is at its Katee finest. A fun delight to read.

I wasn’t exactly sure how this author would pull off what is essentially a throuple but man, I enjoyed it!

I am not one for those types of relationships but because I always felt like there would be some sort of angst to it but this was actually very reassuring.

Sure, only one part of the throuple is what truly binds them together but as time goes, they grow.

Helen Kasios is the sister to Zeus, daughter to the previous Zeus and sister to the current Aphrodite. That’s ALL she has been known as, as well as what appearance she shows on a daily basis. Deep down inside she knows who she is and what she wants but with everyone around her out for themselves, they make sure to put her down.

The trials to become the new Ares are coming up and she plans to put her name in the ring. Until Zeus throws her for a loop and names her the prize. Without telling her of course. Such is the way of the Thirteen.

While Helen understands the politics she is tired if being a pawn and is still determined to take fate in her own hands.

In comes Achilles and Patroclus, a couple who have known each other for years and are in it to win it for Achilles. He has such a one track mind and latches onto his dreams so securely that he doesn’t take into mind those he cares for until it’s a little too late.

Patroclus is the connection for both Achilles and Helen and without him that relationship wouldn’t work. Achilles is too selfish and self absorbed to realize anything on his own and Helen is so defensive in trying to get people to see her for who she is that they bump heads.

For a while there I didn’t root for the romance because of Achilles. I couldn’t stand him and still can’t a little. While Patroclus and Helen would make a good much they’re also too alike. They really do balance each other out pretty great.

The story itself is what had me chugging along because it was pretty exciting! I also love dual POV so you don’t have to guess and wonder at everything.

Overall this was a great read for me with new aspects I’d never read or searched out before.

I was interested in this story because it was a modern day retelling of Helen of Troy. However, this book was a letdown. I did not like Achilles. He was the worst character in the book. He’s jealous and very hypocritical. Patroclus was the stereotypical live interest with not much personality. Helen was the best character for she was smart, vulnerable, and strong. I also did not like how the book was narrated by three people. I believed it should have Helen as the single narrator since the book revolves around her. Thus, this had potential but was not executed well. Still, I recommend this for fans of Greek Mythology.

I have enjoyed the two previous books in the Dark Olympus series. Electric Idol is one of my favorite dark romances, and definitely a favorite Katee Robert book. I was really excited to dive back into this world with Wicked Beauty, but sadly I have had a hard time connecting with the characters. I read up to about 25%, but was not fully invested in Helen, Achilles & Patroclus story. I will attempt to pick up this book again in the future.

Whew. This one was spicy! I need to go back and read the other two in this series, I didn't realize this was #3. I'm not really in to MFM relationships, so this one didn't appeal to me much in that way. Interesting concept though.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series Neon Gods and Electric Idol but Wicked Beauty is by far my favorite and I think it is because of the character of Helen. She was perceived as a flighty party girl only to fight her way against the odds and come out on top.
I thought the author did a good job writing a Polyam romance which is notoriously difficult to write. Katee Roberts seems to have a talent for writing about unexpected relationships and making them relatable, even in ancient Greece and there is plenty of steamy hotness to go around.
I enjoyed Helen as a strong female and heroine. I feel that all the characters were written well and given an equal voice. I can’t wait to read the fourth book in the series Radiant Sin.

Steaming hot romance that doesn't overshadow the main story or the series arc. The machinations of the Thirteen are fun to watch unfold but the nights that Helen spends with Achillies and Patroclus are unputdownable!

This was good but not my favorite book in this series so far. It was good enough to keep me interested.

I couldn't finish this one. It was just a lot of names and people in different sexual situations with no discernible plot.

This book was really interesting! I was intrigued by the storyline and that's what initially drew me to this title. I also really love the cover artwork.

Thanks so much!
Loved this steamy romance and story about Olympus, "you either have the power to rule...or you are ruled."
And great story how she enters the competition.
THANK YOU

This book is HOT. I have said this many times and I will say it again but I am a firm believe that listening to these books is the way to go. These narrators simply never miss and they truly bring Katee Roberts books to another level. I think this might be up there for my favorite in the series which is hard to do especially with my love for the second one. Anyways love the narrators, love the story and overall was a steamy fun ride.
