This third installment in the Dark Olympus series had me like 🥵

SUMMARY: A spot has opened up in the ruling Olympians’ inner circle. Achilles and his longtime boyfriend Patroclus enter together to secure Achilles a winning spot. Helen is promised as wife to the champion, but she’s no prize to be won and enters the tournament herself. But things get complicated when she starts spending more time with the warrior couple.

Sometimes you can read romance books in a series as standalones; this is not one of those times. The world building itself is a little complicated: The Olympian names from the Greek myths are titles in what seems to be the governing body (and/or syndicate) of this place… there’s an upper and a lower part to this city. But then there’s also ‘elsewhere’?

Look, I’m not totally clear on the details. And these books aren’t here to present the facts. They’re here to present some fun, contemporary romances plus sexy times. If you haven’t read them and are intrigued, they remind me of mafia romances with loose parallels to traditional Greek mythology.

On a Katee Roberts spice meter, they are surprisingly tame, but on a regular book spice meter, they include descriptive sex scenes, so I’d give them between 3 and 4 🔥🔥🔥.

I was trying to rank which of the three I like best, but I think they’re all fun in their own ways. I’m interested in this world, and look forward to reading more about the couples who inhabit it.

Thanks to @netgalley @sourcebookscasa and the author for an arc in exchange for an honest review!

Katee Robert books (but especially the Dark Olympus series) are all instant request titles for me. This series does an amazing job at combining intense plot lines filled with political intrigue, and some the the most well-written spicy scenes I've ever read (and I've read a lot of romance). I loved this book.

HOLY GODS! This book, .. ohh, this book. Let's start off by saying, those Greek gods are crazy! Robert takes these characters and places them in their own world but in current times. It was interesting and captivating. The story of the champions fighting to become Ares was the perfect high-tension backdrop needed for Helen, Achilles & Patroclus to find their unexpected connection. What started as a steamy and raunchy romance, no strings attached sexy time, quickly became a beautiful relationship forming. I didn't know I needed this triad in my life but I did. Their overpowering bond and perfect love for each other took me by complete surprise.

If it's one thing Katee Robert knows how to do, it's writing a spicy book! This is the third book in the Dark Olympus series and she has got me trapped! I will say that this is not my favorite in the series, but it was still an overall good book.

This is the 3rd in the Dark Olympus series is a steamy menage that I would classify as romantic erotica. Like the pervious installments the story is based loosely on mythology. This tells the story of Helen, Achilles and Patroclus who are all fighting be be named the new Ares. Ares is never assigned and the person must complete a series of challenges in order to be named Area.

Helen decides that she doesn't want to be the prize for the challenge, she wants to be the winner. So, she enters the contest to decide her own future. Achilles is confident he will win, but does bring along his lover to assist in making it a reality. The games require strategy and athleticism. The premise of this story is excellent and Katee Robert did an excellent job keeping the story interesting, exciting and a little bit wicked. I loved the relationship between the three characters and found the pacing to be perfect.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sexy, fast paced read,

I was provided an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review of the materials.

This is my second book by this author and I cannot say enough good things about it. I love the writing style and how the characters feel so real. This is the kind of book that makes you want to sit down and read it all at once without breaks. It is not always very popular, but I adore stories with multiple points of view, especially when they are as well done as this novel was. I am also a complete softy for all things Achille's so this was a must read for me. I have read many books over the years about him and this book is definitely in my top five. I cannot wait to see what the author brings in the future.

I love Katee Robert's books. She does the Olympians so well in this series I loved Helen Petroculus and Achilles' relationship they were hot together and in the arena to fight for the title of Ares. Helen uses her beauty, brains and athleticism to push forward in this competition. She has something to prove and wants to make her own name which I respect.

Another incredible read by Robert. This is beyond. I am amazed that these books just keep getting better and better and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Title: Wicked Beauty
Author: Katee Robert
Pages: 402

~

Achilles was born with nothing, but he voewd that he would find his way into the inner circle of the powerful 13. He finally has a chnace to do so. His partner Patroclus joins him in the games for the coveted role. But unexpectedly they discover that the beautiful Helen is part of the prize.
Helen has had enough of people controlling her, so she enters the competition, set on winning a seat at the table as well as the power to make her own decisions.

Achilles and Patroclus were not part of the plan, but she can't keep her hands off them.

We know I adore anything written by @katee_robert and this book is no exception.

The boys, ah how I love them, their dynamic, together and apart. I just absolutely love the characters and wish we had longer with them.
Helen is everything one wants in a main heroine and I seriously adored reading every scene with her in it.

The dynamic between all three was written spectacularly and I know I'll be revisiting this book soon. They just absolutely work together and I love Katee for taking another spin on this myth.

They really are adorable and the evolution of their relationship is so much fun to read.

Of course it's also spicy as all Katee Robert books are 😁

But seriously, such a fun plot, with really enjoyable characters who feel well developed it's a must read for any person who is a fan of spicy Greek Mythology Retellings 🥺

Like most humans in the world, I’m a sucker for Greek Mythology.
I'm a special sucker for all things Achilles.
Obviously, I was going to like this book.
The ending was pretty underwhelming, but overall it was an enjoyable quick read.

I will never get enough of Katee Robert's books. Just when I don't think she'll top her last book, she surprises me. This book is fantastic!

I really enjoyed this one as much as the first two books in the series. I like that all the characters have a distinct personality and voice, which I sometimes find lacking with multiple POV books. The spicy scenes were great but some were skip over and took place behind closed pages, so to speak. Which was the only disappointing part of the book.

I love Katee Robert and her Dark Olympus series. This might be my favorite book in the series so far. I loved the dynamic between Helen, Achilles and Patroclus. I always feel like Robert rushes the endings of all her books, but I keep coming back for more! I look forward to the rest of the series

Katee Bae does it again - her reimagination of mythology is just what you didn’t know you needed. Third installment of DO brings us to Helen, Achilles & Patroclus. Power, strength and cunning are the name of the game and it delivers. The relationship between the three is solidly built despite the short amount of time they are together - I do wish there was more of an epilogue because as much as getting to the end game was great - I wanted to see the impact the 3 would have on Olympus. Was it worth it? I’m sure we’ll tidbits as we move on in the series and I’m looking forward to it. Can’t wait for Cassandra and Apollo!!!

WHEW. I knew when I read the 5-chapter sampler that I would love this - and I did; finished the entire thing in one sitting.

I've always been a Patroclus girl, and I still am with Wicked Beauty. He's just so wholesome, I want to protect him with my life. I also love how gentle he is with Helen, because she needs gentle. Helen is my girl since Electric Idol, and she really impressed me in this one with her strength and resilience. Achilles...eh, not much a fan, but I love him with Patroclus and Helen, so there's that at least.

Overall, I still think Electric Idol has me in a chokehold (there's something about Eros and Psyche that's hard to defeat by any other couple), but Wicked Beauty is a great contender. Can't wait for Radiant Sin!

Well hot damn - Dark Olympus just keeps getting HOTTER 🔥

Step into Olympus and the battle to become the next Ares with Helen Of Troy, Achilles and Patroclus. While both Achilles and Patroclus have partnered to win, the beautiful Helen is determined to win her freedom.

Sexy and oh so saucy, the attraction that sizzles between these three is off the charts - enemies, competitors or allies 😉

4.5 stars

I adore the Dark Olympus series so I had to have this one. A story between Achilles, Patroclus and Helen? Sign me up! The trio are all competing to be the next Ares. Patroclus and Achilles have been a couple awhile when they decide to make Helen their 3rd. This book was hot and sexy. If you like Greek retelling you should try this one!

A loose retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus which has hot and steamy sex scenes so beware if you are not looking for this. Book was written well and it is the 3rd book in the series and I would recommend you start with the other first book in the series if you have not read it so you don't feel lost. There is adventure, challenges to be won for the next free seat on Olympus, and steamy sex scenes with Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus.

If you want to take your mythology to the not and bother level this is the book for you. You definitely won't be bored!

Not my favourite Katee book... but I still really enjoyed Helen, Patroclus and Achilles. This MMF pairing worked out well, but I felt like something was missing between the three of them. I appreciated how Katee set up Patroclus and Achilles open relationship from the start, and how Helen did seem to fit with each of them.

Oh hot damn. This book is sexy and fierce.

I loved the dynamics between everyone and the thrill of the chase, so to speak.

The sex was thrilling, and the trials kept me on the edge of my seat.

Action, sex, and contempt make for one hell of a story.
