In Caitlin Crewes' latest Kittredge Ranch book, Summer Nights with a Cowboy, Janie Atwood is on a mission. She's in Cold River, Colorado to discover something. Yes, she's the personal care nurse for eighty-seven- year-old Damaris Gardner. Janie works for a traveling nurse organization. Janie finds herself attracted to grumpy Sheriff Zack Kittredge. They sure to make for an interesting couple. I enjoyed following along to Janie and Zack's Happily Ever After. This was a fun read.

Zack left the ranch, for the most part, to live in town and become Sheriff after he turned 18. His siblings refer to him as Saint Zack but is he really. When Janie moves in across the street to care for his elderly neighbor he is not only suspicious but intrigued especially when every time they cross paths she goes up in flames and trips over her own feet. These two definitely have chemistry and the intensity between them is there but the passion was missing in this one that was in the last two in this series (just not as hot). Janie really comes to town looking for something or someone. Does she find it or will she find more than she bargains for. I really did enjoy this one and especially glad to find out what was going on with the Kittredge family.

This was thefirst time I have read a story from Caitlin Crews, I really enjoyed it. I found Zack a complex character to understand but in a fascinating way. You wanted to explore why he had family issues and how it came about and changed his life. Janie was mostly an open book, she was friendly and quirky but lovable in so many ways. You wanted these two to be together that just worked for each other in so many ways. Zach needed someone to soften him up and relax and Janie needed a rock to steady her. The different back stories were interesting and entwined so well with Zack and Janie that it made sense to learn about his brothers and other families living in their town. Can't wait to read her more books by this author.

Thank you, Caitlin Crews and St. Martin's Press for the ARC of Summer Nights with a Cowboy. This is my personal review.
Janie and Zack are so perfect for each other. The author did a magnificent job of making me really care what happens with them. There were so many emotions in this story, and I was so glad that I read this book.
I liked this book as much as the other I read from this series. There are three books in the Kittredge Ranch Series. This is book three in the series.

Summer Nights with a Cowboy is a contemporary romance in the Kittredge Ranch series but can be read as a standalone book. Janie is a sweetheart. A nurse who cares for the elderly, Janie is in Cold River, taking care of Damaris. Sheriff Zack Kittredge is the stuffy, over bearing neighbor who thinks Janie is up to no good. The more she makes him get in his feelings the more overbearing he gets. Janie decides to enroll him in her own personal charm school. The story flows in a sweet but heated romance. I loved Janie but found myself wanting to bop Zack in the back of the head regularly. By the end, Janie brings him up to snuff in an enjoyable HEA. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.

Janie Atwood and (Sheriff) Zack Kittredge are two very different personalities. She’s shy and introverted, and a goofball when she gets uncomfortable…and Zack makes her uncomfortable! (In a good way, of course.)

Zack finds Janie…he has no idea how to classify how she makes him feel but we all know there is attraction burbling.

Janie and Zack are out of their elements when dealing with their feelings, especially for each other. Both have family dynamics that play a big part of who they are and how they face life. But when the two of them finally figure it out, it is a wonderful story to read. Loved ALL the characters in this book! Each one had a story to tell and I could identify with parts of all of them. Really loved the book. And Janie and Zack and Demaris…

I had a hard time getting into this story and found myself skimming a bit, especially during the first half. Zack was just a bit too difficult for me and I found myself getting frustrated, wanting him to be a better fit for Janie, who is such a nice character.

My thanks to Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review Summer Nights with a Cowboy by Caitlin Crews.

Caitlin Crews is a fantastic writer. Zack absolutely lit my world aflame. Such a wonderful story. I had a small issue starting the book but the rest was yum.

Complementary copy of this book was proved by NetGalley for my honest review and opinion.
I love this series and the development of each storyline that Caitlin Crews brings to use. And I love Janie and Zack dynamic relationship. Zack has met his match if he thinks that he can tell Janie what to do. Janie is hiding a secret but it isn't as bad as Zack suspects. They find a love that neither were looking for and a future encompassing their past and their present.

It's been awhile since I've picked up a book that I had difficulty putting down. I love books that grab you from the first page and keep you entertained until the very last word, that's how Summer Nights With A Cowboy is.

I loved Janie and Zack. Their complicated story was funny, emotional, damn hot and sexy, and one of my favorites in this series. Damaris was hysterical, and would love having her as a grandmother. The brothers were all front and center in this story, along with Donovan and Ellie. Alot of breakthroughs in this story, which brought everything together. Loved the ending with these two, just adore when a man is brought to his knees with the right woman. Definitely a book and series worth reading, would highly recommend it.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I have been waiting for Zack's book and it was everything I wanted and so much more. Zack is a very uptight kind of guy and he needed someone that would help him loosen up a bit! I have to say that I thought that Janie was the perfect match for him. For me this story was so much fun to read. I loved Zack from the moment I meant him but I loved him even more at the end of his story. The story line for this book was amazing. I thought that the author did a great job of bringing everything together. Even though this book is part of a series it can definitely be read as a stand alone book but in my opinion you really need to read it all because it is an incredible series. Thanks NetGalley. Oh boy, the sparks between Janie and Zack are enough to set the whole town on fire! These two have so much chemistry they don’t know what to do with it, so they do the whole “I don’t like you” thing to cover up their feelings. Spoiler…it doesn’t work for long.

Throughout this series, it’s no secret the Kittredge brothers and sister have major problems with their parents. A lot of that finally gets addressed and unpacked in this book. Does it make me like their father more? Maybe a bit. But I personally still have issue with how their parents handled things. Now I understand what was under how things used to be and how things became in that household, and that at least helps.

Zack’s hang-ups about his family and Janie’s own insecurities keep their relationship on unsteady ground. They both do stupid things. They both act irrationally at times. They both need to learn to sit still and listen and learn instead of jumping in with both feet before knowing all the facts. And they both, definitely, need to learn to speak up instead of shutting down.

I’m happy to report the couple does a lot of growing in this book. They gave me all the feels and then some. Of course, I loved the relationship Zack and Janie built. But I also loved Zack allowing himself to be vulnerable with his siblings so he could be included in their lives instead of always on the periphery acting like a watch dog.

This story broke my heart and pieced it back together.

The romance is electric and the underlying family tensions gives this story heart. It was a great read!

Summer Nights With A Cowboy is a spectacular contemporary western romance by Caitlin Crews. Ms. Crews has delivered a well-written book with a stellar cast of characters. Janie is new to Cold River and the new nurse to Damaris. But she has another secret to investigate while she's there. Zack is the Sheriff of Cold River and doesn't trust Janie and doesn't mind letting her know. Zack and Janie's story is packed with drama, laugh-out-loud humor, sizzle and just a touch of suspense. I loved this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Caitlin Crews. Summer Nights With A Cowboy is book 3 of the Kittredge Ranch Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

intense stuff and a lot of personal cleaning in this one. Missed the heat.

I have been waiting for Zack's story all this time and it is finally here! With a character as tough and hard as he comes across, I was anxious to see how the author would balance him with the female character.

Janie is, in all accounts, a klutz that is totally out of her element around men and it shows. I had a bit of a like/dislike thing going on with her. I just wasn't sure she was strong enough for him.

But the author won this round as it wasn't so much the toughness of Zack and the balanced needed, it was more of the breaking through to his iced-over heart and allowing him to feel love and acceptance. Plus he finally put to bed the issues with his parents. That was a trip...

One thing that this story lacked for me was passion - passion and burning heat for each other. The words were there. The actions and feelings were there, but something was missing. The intensity that we usually have gotten with the other brothers and their loves was a bit low-key.

However, the love of the cowboy ways, small towns, family, and sweet love pave the way for a fabulous story that leaves your heart just a bit more tender and your eyes a bit misty.

Crews is a fabulous author and a true artiste in cowboy romance. With intense stories and characters alike, she brings emotion and a unique flavor to cowboy romance every time. Love her!

I can’t say how much I enjoyed this book! It pulled me in from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the story of Zack and Janie. Janie is a stay at home sure who just took on a new patient in a town that she has been waiting to visit. She is completely a clumsy and meets Zack, the town sherif, when she trips and spills her coffee all over him. Zack is the Stoney silent type who just lets Janie hang herself miserably from her nervous chatter. From that first meet and the countless others their relationship blossoms. Be prepared to laugh and cry as you feel everything these characters go through in the story.

And with this volume, the series set in Cold River and centered on the founding families should have come to an end, but I think it will continue with the "criminal" family instead, but I could be wrong.
Zack and Janie aren't a particularly memorable couple, but by then I couldn't skip them anyway.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

I enjoyed this story by Caitlin Crews. It had unexpected twists, interesting characters and it caught my interest right from the start and held it until the last page. I would definitely recommend this book and will be looking for more books by Caitlin to add to my TBR list.

Loved, loved, loved this book! I can’t put into words the emotions that this book sent through me other than they were strong. I enjoyed the slow growth of the relationship between Janie & Zack but really loved the explosion of chemistry when they finally let it all happen. The story had a lot of sad history in the lives of Janie & Zack that moulded them into who they were & it was an emotional ride as they grew into their relationship. I loved Janie’s employer Damaris, she was a hoot & you knew she was quietly pushing them together & rooting for them. It was wonderful to finally see the dynamics of the relationship between Zack & his father change as some truths finally came out. It was also wonderful to see Janie unite with the family she never knew she had. Author Caitlin Crews did a wonderful job of telling the story of stubborn, steadfast Sheriff Zack & clumsy but sweet muse Janie in such a wonderful way that it was hard to put the book down. Definitely recommend. Thank you to St. Martins publishing & Net Galley for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.
