Loved Janie and Zach’s story! The Kittredge Ranch series has me hooked. Caitlin Crews does a beautiful job describing the town and its inhabitants so that they feel real and, as a reader, you quickly feel invested in the story and how it will unfold. It is a romance, but it is also an emotional journey about love and family in all its different forms. It is also a comment on how different people see the same things in different ways. And that is what makes life and good stories interesting.

Janie Atwood has come to Cold River for two reasons. She has accepted a nursing position and she has reason to believe she might have relatives there that she has never met. Sheriff Zack Kittredge is suspicious of her. He has created a life and persona that he thinks is perfect for him. Two people: one who is looking for a place and people she can belong to and one who does have a sense of belonging, but his rigid boundaries restrict even him. Can such opposites coexist in the same small town?

Everything about this story is appealing. The dialogue is often witty and sometimes laugh out loud funny. The narrative moves quickly and is filled with passion and strong emotions. The characters are a varied group, realistic and likeable. Well written and heartfelt, this love story is well worth reading. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I want a cowboy just like Zack! 🤠🐴 This is the first book I have read in this series and after finishing the story I added the others to my TBR list!
I enjoyed the opposite’s attract trope blended with a bit of love saving the world trope. Together it created a riveting romance full of emotion and sizzling chemistry between Zack & Janie ❤️‍🔥 This is the perfect book to read while curled up in a nice warm blanket.

🖋🤠He doesn’t believe in love…

Traveling nurse Janie Atwood has come to Cold River to uncover old family secrets and maybe, if she’s lucky, find a new home. That the gorgeous, glowering sheriff next door thinks her caring for his elderly neighbor is a nefarious scheme is a bonus. Having never been anything but a good girl, Janie finds Zack Kittredge’s simmering suspicion an excellent reason to try being a little dangerous instead…

👩🏼‍⚕️She doesn’t believe in squandering it…

Sheriff Zack Kittredge is okay with being… intense. He takes his loner status as seriously as he takes his responsibilities to protect Cold River. And he thinks cheerful Janie might be a threat to the town. But the more he gets to know her, the more he faces the truth—she’s brighter than sunshine and he’s like a moth to her flame. When Janie suggests he could use a few charm school lessons, he surprises them both by accepting. He doesn’t need help. But it’s clear he might need her…

Because the only thing hotter than the summer sun in the Rockies is the forbidden passion that burns between them…

I encourage you to give this book a try!

I enjoyed Summer Nights with a Cowboy by Caitlin Crews. Zach and Janie were a great match but had the right amount of strife to go through before they could get together. The story had enjoy addition stressors and occurrences to make a nice balance with the love story.

Zach is too serious. He's got one mission in his mind and that's his work as sheriff. He loves the family ranch but feels he can't work it. He's carrying a lot of anger over a situation he witnessed part of and assumed much of that occurred between his parents ages ago. He can't forgive his dad for what he believes happened. For this reason, he's chosen public service instead. Janie's work as a traveling nurse has brought her to the one place that may provide answers about the father she's never know of or know. Can she find him?

I was surprised by Janie's journey and what she finds. Definitely not stereotypical. I like Zach's family and the revelations of what really happened. It was also surprising.

I recommend this book.

Thanks to the author, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC.

Live-in nurse Janie has come to Cold River searching for the truth about her past. Sheriff Zack gets a weird feeling whenever she's around. And not just because she's the world's biggest klutz. All her sunshinyness makes him suspicious. Which she thinks is hilarious, because she's the furthest thing from threatening. She doesn't mind teasing the handsome lawman out of his tight control. When her search puts her on a path toward danger, he tries to persuade her to change course—but she's committed. Can these two opposites find love?

No one does sensual tension better than Caitlin Crews, and this book is off the charts. Janie is sweet and funny, the perfect foil for Zack's grumpy determination. The story is heartwarming, the small-town characters endearing. If you love steamy contemporary Western romance, don't miss this one.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I thoroughly enjoyed Janie and Zach's story. The author offers up a well written read that has lots of emotions and humor. Honestly, I felt there was delightful amount of cuteness in play as this fun, opposites attract romance unfolded. The FEELS are sold, as is the heart and I really liked that. This was a very good book.

Summer Nights with the Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is a satisfying addition to her Kittredge Ranch series .

Sheriff Zack Kittredge is the strong, silent type who is very reserved and doesn't like mess - anywhere.

Traveling nurse Janie Atwood has come to town to care for his elderly neighbor. Zack is bothered by her, and it's an itch he doesn't know whether or not he wants to scratch. His friend, Gray, gives him some sage advice.

"Maybe this nurse of yours is just the kind of bothersome you like."

Janie brings sunshine into his world, but Zack has a hard time letting go of his vaunted control. He carries a lot of family baggage and has to deal with it before he can allow himself to be happy with Janie.

This is the third book in the Kittredge Ranch series. All the books can be read as stand alone, but better read in order in my opinion. All the Kittredge boys are handsome as sin and all come with his own brand of problems.
This story is about the oldest son, Zack Kittredge. He is the Sheriff and lives in town instead of at the ranch. His house is on a dead-end street with the only other house belongs to an elderly lady, Damaris. She is known and lived by all.
When she hires a live in nurse everyone is concerned about her health. Janie Atwood has been a traveling nurse since her grandparents died. They were the only family she has ever had. Her mother died giving birth to her and no one knew who her father was. She finds a letter from her Grandparents with secrets from her past. She is in town to try and find some answers.
Janie has always been a klutz, it's just who she is, always tripping over her own feet, rocks, sticks anything in front of her.
The only problem is when she trips in the local coffee shop, she spills coffee all over the most handsome, uptight, man in town. He is also the Sheriff and he already dislikes her !! Janie doesn't know why Zack has it in for her. But she finds out he thinks she is up to something; he calls her bothersome ? What's a girl to do, she likes ruffling his feathers cause no man has ever seen her as anything but a kid sister.
This book is wonderful, the banter between Zack and Janie is wonderful. You have a loner who is very stiff, very intense
who for the first time in his life can't leave or forget about a woman. Janie on the other hand has never meet a stranger, she loves to help people. Doesn't matter their age, size or attitude.
This interaction will have you laughing out loud, crying some and telling them both off too. You will fall in love with the town, the people and the whole story. There is so much emotion in this story, secrets to be found out and lots and lots of love to be given and maybe a happy ever after too. The ending is just the best !!
I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.
Be sure and not miss this book, or any of this series. I know I will be re reading them all at some point.

What a cute, cute story. I feel like this must be part of a series, which I have not read, but I truly felt that this book touched on many of the Kittridge family. It was fun figuring out how life was going to work out for them as a family, and more importantly watch Zack, Saint Zack, figure out how to grow as a person and find his love in Janie. This was a very satisfying read!

This is book 3 in the Kittredge Ranch series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. In this one we get Zack's story! Zack is the sheriff for Cold River and he takes that responsibility seriously. Janie is a traveling nurse who has come to Cold River to hopefully find out about family secrets and maybe find a place to call home. When Zack thinks she is up to no good, she decides that her good girl self should be a little bad. Zack thinks she is a threat, but the more he learns about her the more he realizes that he may be wrong. And that she may be just what he needs in his life.

I have wanted Zack's story from the beginning! I wanted to know what truly made him walk away from the ranch and what motivates him now. Zach is intense and has these walls that he built sky high. He cares about his family, friends, and the land but he has so many things that he keeps behind his walls that no one could get in. Until Janie. Janie is happy and bubbly and just this bundle of sunshine that you can't help but like. But she also has her own secrets and hopes and dreams. And I loved her!! They both have some issues but honestly, they compliment each other and are exactly what each of them need. I only dropped it down to 4 stars because the book is very slow in the beginning. I really thought I would have to stop because I didn't think I would be able to get into it. But once you get past that, the book sucks you in and leaves you not wanting it to end.

When it comes to a good Cowboy romance, Caitlin Crews is the author you must read! Summer Nights with a Cowboy was a fun and hot read! The story line will have you glued to the pages. You want to make sure you save up some free time because once you start, you won't want to stop!

The characters are full of heart and pure gold. Of course they have some things to overcome, but you can feel the chemistry. That is so important for me. If I feel like I was on a journey after I finish a book, it is a must read! This book did that for me. I am definitely putting it in my reread book pile!

This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the third book in the Kittredge Ranch series. I have read and reviewed the other books in this series before picking up this book, but I do think this book can be read as a standalone. If you do read this book as a standalone you will just miss some of the backstory on some of the secondary characters. I enjoyed this book a lot, but there was a handful of parts in this book that I felt was a little bit to much. I did love the characters in this book. Janie's character was so great, and her character made this book everything. Zack needed someone like Janie because his character was so uptight. This book had a lot going on, but it was written so well that it was easy to keep up with the different story lines that was going on. The romance in this book moved really fast, but it was still super cute and fun. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (St. Martin's) or author (Caitlin Crews) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

SUMMER NIGHTS WITH A COWBOY was a great ending to the Kittredge Ranch Series. I really loved Janie Atwood's character and she was the perfect person to break through to Sheriff Zack Kittredge who was always so ummm how shall I say this...uptight, yeah that's it...LOL.

Believe it or not I actually liked Zack and all of his rough edges in his siblings books so I was looking forward to getting his story and seeing what type of woman he'd fall for. Janie was great, a complete and total klutz with the biggest of hearts, she's someone I could definitely see myself being friends with.

The Sheriff in Zack was on full alert whenever Janie was around but the man in him couldn't get enough of her, even if he thought she was hiding something...which she was.

This story had a lot of personal growth for Zack and it was a time of new beginnings for Janie, together they had great chemistry and we were gifted with everyone's happy ever afters...weddings, children, etc.

I would recommend reading this series in order to get the full effect of the series wrap-up but this can be read as a standalone if that is how you choose to read it. This book is perfect for those that enjoy Western Romances, Small Town Romances, or Girl Next Door Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

I was invited to view this ARC through NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it

This is the third book in the Kittredge Ranch series but can be read as a stand alone. It is another great read!

An entertaining read featuring two interesting, intriguing characters. It is a story full of passion, sexual tension, secrets and even suspense. Both main characters are seeking family answers. Zack knows his family but there is tension and history that has been misinterpreted and Janies' grandparents left her a letter after their deaths explaining all they knew of her father. Now she was here to find him.

I know several reviewers found Zack Kittredge to be too gruff and self-righteous, but frankly, that's what I found appealing about him in this book. The contrast between his grumpiness and Janie Atwood's cheerfulness just seemed to really work for me. Janie is a traveling nurse who has been adrift from place to place with her jobs since the loss of her grandparents. Zach Kittredge is very much a law man who has become set in his ways. Their original meeting was a meet cute that left me smiling big, and there were many more moments like that during their first few meetings.

It made for an enjoyable story to read how both Janie and Zach grow during the course of the story. This is a standalone, but book 3 in the series, but I had no trouble just jumping right into this and following along, but I'm happy now about the previous books in the series that I can jump into for some of the other Kittredge's stories.

I've been waiting for Zack's story and it does not disappoint.

Janie, a traveling nurse, has come to Cold River to unearth clues to her family history. She can be a bit awkward and spilling her coffee on the sheriff is one of the reasons she has gotten under his skin.

Zack is a no-nonsense sheriff who has bucked the family tradition of being a rancher. Reserved to a fault, he has secrets of his own, and his demeanor leaves much to be desired.

Determined to find out Janie's secret reason for being in town, Zack agrees to Janie's charm lessons in exchange for some tutoring of his own. Feelings are not part of the plan.

The connection between them is real, and hot, but each has secrets from the past which could thwart the possibility for a future if they can't find a way to trust and open their hearts for love.

This story was so much fun to read because of the little spitfire nurse named Janie. It was interesting to learn what brought her to Cold River, Colorado. I liked her clumsy character which made the story funny and charming at times. The banter between Janie and Zach, the sheriff, was so much fun to read. I especially liked his endearment of calling her "my little outlaw" and how that played out in this fun story of romance, family, and love. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

What a fantastic end to the Kittredge Ranch series. I loved each of these books and am so sad to see the series end. I absolutely inhaled this one. I mean who doesn't love a grumpy sheriff? I couldn't wait to get Zack's full story. As a reader, I always felt that something was missing to keep him so distant. This book helps to explain it all as well as helping him to muddle his way through a lot of heartache and come out shining as the true here he really is.

Then there is Janie. She's such a lovable character. She's insecure about everything and understandably so. There is so much about her own life that she doesn't understand fully. To complicate things, the sheriff of Cold River has done nothing but stalk her with his many suspicions from the minute she arrived in town.

Watching their romance gradually develop was actually sweet....as well as a little steamy at times. Zack is in denial that he can be attracted to Janie because he thinks there has to be something wrong with her. Janie is too insecure to believe someone like Zack is interested in her. Eventually they stumble into it and it was simply fantastic when they did. Their chemistry was spot on and their characters were the perfect compliment for one another.

These brothers and the women they love were wonderful to read about. It was easy to become invested in each and every one of their stories. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Crews gives us next. I'm hopeful that there is more to come from Cold River.

Thank you for NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Summer Nights with a Cowboy is a wonderful story with great characters. Zack and Jane were a case of opposites attract. Zack was a grumpy sheriff who didn't trust easily and Jane was just what he needed to drop his guard and trust in someone else.
