Starry-Eyed Love is the 2nd book in the Spark House romance series, but it can be read as a standalone! I really enjoyed reading London and Jackson's love story! The characters were really cute to read about. I think this was is the first multimillionaire romance I ever read, btw 🤭

With romances that are based on a working/business-based relationship, I always struggle a little, but after readinf the first few chapters, I started getting invested in Jackson and London's romance! The plot was really intriguing, so by the end, I was really forward to seeing how things wrapped up.

The family theme in Starry-Eyed Love was beautifully written too. I loved London's relationship with her sisters, even though Avery got on my nerves quite a couple of times. 😭😭😭 I also felt that London and Jackson could have a few more casual conversations without the formal tone, but I guess that was essential to the story. 🥺 Overall, if you like cute and fast-paced romances with an intriguing storyline, you'll definitely like reading Starry-Eyed Love!

London Spark loves her family business, even if her portion of the business is not her favorite aspect of working events. It is important that she do her best to continue to grow and carry on the business in her parent’s memory. But with the increasing popularity of her Etsy side-hustle, she is finding herself overworked, stressed out, and not enjoying the parts of her job she used to love. With all the work on her plate, she barely has time for herself, let alone a relationship, so when an extremely hot stranger asks her out, it is easy to turn him down. Several months later, it is harder to ignore the fact that the handsome stranger is the owner of the company responsible for the newest partnership at Spark House.

Jackson Holt is a workaholic CEO focused on his company’s goals with little deviation from his work focus. I loved him from the start and though he was confident in his choice to work with Spark House, forgetting that the working relationship would put a hold on anything actually happening between him and London made it hard to watch some of their working interactions.

This was a slow burn with so many sparks flying between them I applaud their restraint. The working relationship was so important to London and Spark House that they did everything possible to keep things professional as long as they could. But it also becomes clear that there is more in Jackson’s past than he is letting on, and London has a lot to sort through when everything comes to light.

It was fun to return to Spark House and the business run by the three sisters. I was a little shocked by some of Avery’s actions towards her sisters (especially London) and felt very protective of London when things finally snapped between them. I look forward to continuing this series and seeing where the growth of the business takes them and especially what is in story for Harley!

Starry-Eyed Love | Spark House #2

It is London’s turn for love after lackluster dating with someone she didn’t feel the “spark!”

A bearded stranger.
A gentle no thank you.
Fast forward months.
Chance encounter.
Billionaire.
Slow burn.
Friends to lovers.
Sister friendships.
Sweet romance read.

Thank you Helen Hunting SMPromance GetRedPRbooks and LetsTalkBooksPromo for the complimentary copy of this book. Unfortunately the chemistry didn't work for me, and the conversations were too business tone even when speaking causally.

This was a fun book to read. There was humor, drama and some steamy interactions. London has put the business before her personal life. So we get to see her journey to realize she needs some me time too and maybe a little steamy romance too. Jackson seems to stroll in to help her but has bad timing. I loved seeing how Jackson and London's love journey turn out. If you want laughs, total hotness and romance this is the book for you.

Absolutely LOVED this story! Helena Hunting has the most hilarious, heart-warming, sexy stories. This rom-com is set at a super slow burn for our London and Jackson which delivers the most amazing combustible first “date” after months of “non-dating” dates!

London is out with her sisters, Avery and Harley, for a post-breakup girl’s night out. A guy across the bar is trying to get London’s attention, while he is pretty hot, she is determined to ignore. Not ready for a re-bound BF. Jackson makes his way over to London’s table to ask her out. Best quote: “I just needed to tell you that from across the room, you were beyond stunning, but up close.” He lets out a low whistle. “You are an absolute work of art.” Swoon! Alas, London gives him the “I have a boyfriend” blow off. Jackson states that hopefully karma will bring the back together in the future.

Four months later, London is in a boardroom, presenting for an event that would gain Spark House a major collaboration with Holt Media. The CEO of Holt Media, one Jackson Holt, walks by the boardroom and happens to see London presenting. Karma brought her back to him. He interrupts the meeting and hijacks the interview. It takes London a while to realize this was the GUY that she brushed off at the bar. Now embarrassed and sure that she will lose this opportunity – London successfully answers all his questions. Spark House gets the deal and Jackson personally takes over the collab for Holt Media.

Jackson is so enamored with London that he forgets that “he can’t date anyone while they work for him.” This sets up a series of “non-dates” as they meet out and about to work out the coordination of the event. Lots of sexy intensity with no sexy times allowed due to the workplace thing – but they do actually get to know each other. Now he can’t wait to get this event over and London out from under his direct employment! After some jealous ex behavior, a heart-wrenching break-up, and a major sister business melt-down, Jackson and London get to their sexy times and HEA.

Starry-Eyed Love is filled with snarky banter, sweet humor, and an invested cast of characters. The sisters all have different passions but they are loyal to each other and to their shared family business. Helena Hunting writes some sexy romantic adventures with such depth in her heroines and heroes. This book is a part of the Stark House series but is easily enjoyed as a standalone. Looking forward to Hayley’s social media romance next.

I received this ARC from the publisher (St. Martin’s Griffin) and NetGalley for an honest review.

It’s pub day for Starry Eyed Love by @helenahunting

This series follows the Spark Sisters who run their family event hotel Spark House. This book is the second in the series and introduces us to London the middle sister who is the administrator with the creative eye. After a tough break up she finds herself being hit on by some random guy in a restaurant. After a humiliating rejection she later finds out he is a big time CEO for a company looking to partner with their hotel. Forced to have to work with Jackson she tries to redeem herself. Well you see where this is going.

Starry Eyed Love is a fun romance with some steam 🌶🌶🌶 Did I mention Type A businessman Jackson is HAWT?!?! I also appreciated the family focus between the three sisters. Lord knows I can relate to these issues with my own sister 😆

If you are looking for a cute romance with a dreamy businessman and heavy on the steam 🥵…look no further!

Thanks to @stmartinspress and @netgalley for the E-ARC

I am absolutely loving the Spark House series! Helena Hunting’s writing is perfect. I think this book is my favorite of the series so far, but I have a feeling Harley’s book might end up being my favorite.

I loved the slow burn romance between Landon and Jackson, their chemistry was spot on and banter between the two of them was perfect. I could not put this book down because I was waiting for the things between them to finally heat up and when it does the sparks fly!

I love the relationships between the three sisters, it is not perfect but the love is there. This is another cute, sexy, fun book in the Spark house series and it was a pleasure to read. I recommend it and the first book, When Sparks Fly to anyone who loves a fun romcom.

Thank you so much St. Martin's Griffin and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion

Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in the Spark House series and it's London Spark's story.

After having just broken up with her latest boyfriend because he was soooooo boring, London decides she is done with men for a while. While out with her sisters celebrating her single status, a gorgeous man buys their drinks and is very interested in London. Having no interest in a rebound guy, she turns him down flat. Fast forward three months and Holt Media and Consulting is interesting is in possibly hiring London and her sisters to work with their company. While London is giving her presentation, who should walk by the conference room but Jackson Holt, the CEO of the company, and also the guy who she turned down three months ago! London is thrown even further when Jackson ends up sitting in the her presentation, asking her some direct questions. Afterwards, Jackson ask London to come up to his office where they talk privately. Jackson is still very attracted to London but suddenly realizes that now that they will have a professional relationship, she is off limits!

The more time these two spend together, the harder it is to keep their relationship strictly professional. When these two can finally cave in to their feelings things just combust! London and Jackson have a sizzling chemistry that is off the charts. Everything is going wonderfully until the past comes back to bite them in the butt! They both have a lot of things they need to overcome in order to find their happy ever after, but once they do....the ending is just perfect!

I just loved this contemporary romance story! Two souls who both had emotional things from their past, coming together to find love is just so beautiful. Jackson was off the charts yummy while London was just the right amount of sass and together these two just worked. I can't wait for Harley's story!

Starry Eyed Love by Helena Hunting is the second book in the Spark House series. London and Jackson first met in a bar after she broke up with her boyfriend and Jackson asked her out….she turned him down. A few months later, they are brought back together when Jackson’s company is interested in working with Spark House. This time, they keep their relationship professional or so they try.

This was a sweet love story that was a fast and easy read. They get to know each other slowly while keeping things professional; bonding over how they both lost their parents at a young age. After two months London and Jackson stop fighting their attraction and start dating.

I enjoyed the sisters and their relationship running the family business. I really related to London and how she is coping with her stress and anxiety. If I could wish for one thing to be added to this story, it would be more of Jackson’s point of view.

Starry Eyed Love is the second book in the Spark House series but can be read as a stand alone. I did not read When Sparks Fly and was able to follow along. That said, I will be reading book one and am looking forward to Harley’s story.

Read this if you enjoy a romance with:
⭐️ Billionaire Hero
⭐️ Workplace Romance
⭐️ Sisters and family relationships

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for the ARC.

London + Jackson's story is adorably sweet, and I absolutely loved it.

After a brief encounter months earlier, they re-connect and the chemistry basically radiates from the page. But their working relationship adds in a forbidden aspect, resulting in a slow burn story that finally ignites and kept me glued to the page. There are laughs and tears, incredibly sweet moments, and plenty of adorable awkwardness that I couldn't get enough of. And while the steam level is quite low, Helena Hunting still excels at bringing the fire.

Long-time readers are treated to some amazing guest appearances, and the dynamic between the sisters is explored really well. Spark House is never far from center stage, and I'm so excited to see how it evolves in Harley's story. I loved the pacing and truly enjoyed everything about this story!

Starry Eyed Love is the second book in the Spark House series and it was a wonderful addition. The main characters London and Jackson had such great chemistry and I loved how they both worked through their own issues. I also enjoyed the humor the sisters brought into the book. As always Hunting did a phenomenal job and I cannot wait until the next book!!

First of all, I need to learn how to make origami stars! This was a sweet romance tale that we dive back into the world of Spark House and the three sisters.

We see a bit of Avery and Declan in this story after reading their love story in When Sparks Fly, their HEA continues.

Spark House is growing and they can’t keep up. London sees it, Harley sees it, Avery is in denial but deep down sees it too that they need help. This particularly becomes even more of an issue when Holt Media finds them and starts creating events and networking them.

Jackson Holt, owner of Holt Media, immersed himself in the project between Teamology and Spark House because he wants to be around London as much as he can. He knew she’d come back to him after that initial meet cute! They are very careful not to cross any lines, to remain professional leading up to the charity event. So when that’s over, all bets are off and they’re ready to see where their spark takes them.

While it was slow moving in parts, it made it for a much better build up to be able to experience their starry-eyed love type passion and inevitably their heartbreak.

If you’re looking for a feel good story that’ll make you smile throughout, you should grab this one today… maybe along with a How To Do Origami book too! We all need to make stars!

Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in a trilogy about three sisters. I didn’t read the first book in the series and it didn’t make a difference. There are minor spoilers, but I felt that it didn’t matter much to me. This story is focused on middle sister London Sparks who works with her two sisters who run The Spark House, a family owned event hotel. When a multi-million dollar company calls them out of the blue with a business proposition, the sisters think it’s just the advantage they need to bring their business to the next level. During her presentation London is thrown off balance when the incredibly handsome and wealthy CEO crashes the meeting. He seems vaguely familiar, but she can’t quite place him until she realizes that the manscaped and charismatic man in front of her is the same scruffy man from the bar she turned down a few months before. London and Jackson get to know one another while working on a fundraising event. They both have feelings for the other that they try to deny while working together, but once their professional relationship ends, their personal relationship heats up. When a misunderstanding threatens to end their blossoming romance both London and Jackson have to make choices about what matters to them the most. The story is told in alternating perspectives between London and Jackson and I loved it. It was refreshing to peek behind the screen and know the intimate thoughts of both of the MCs. I enjoyed all the characters and although a bit predictable at times I enjoyed their intoxicating love story. This was a fast-paced whirlwind of a read with a little bit of heat. This is the perfect vacation read! Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

A new author for me and although part of a series I didn't feel like I was missing content although I would like to go back and read the first book.

In this one, London and Jackson meet for the first time right after she has broken up with her boyfriend and is out at a bar with her sisters. Flash ahead 3 months and she arrives for a presentation with a possible partner only to discover it's the guy who asked her for a date , which she turned down.

As they work together their friendship grows, but they're unable to embark on a personal relationship until the business one has ended.

There is plenty of laughs, romance, and sibling challenges as they maneuver through the expansion of their family business. A fun story of balancing work/life commitments between 3 siblings.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in the Spark House series by Helena Hunting. If you've read the first one, When Sparks Fly, you know that Avery, London, and Harley Spark lost their parents in a car accident when they were teenagers. Their grandmother retired from running the Spark House, an event venue/ hotel and passed the running of this family business to the younger generation. Ever since I read When Sparks Fly, which focused on Avery and Declan's story, a delicious friends-to-lovers romance, I've been looking forward to reading about Avery's middle sister- quiet and artistic London.

London has just broken up with her boyfirend and is on a night out with her sisters (hooray, Fun London is back in the house!), when a hot-looking stranger pays for their drinks and asks London out. She knows she isn't emotionally ready to start dating again, so she turns him down. Fast forward three months and imagine London in the middle of a business presentation to a multi-million media company and guess who is walking in into the conference room. The company CEO Jackson Holt who also happens to be the stranger she turned down. Now they have to work together on organising a charity event and Jackson is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional and so dating is out of question...until the event is over. There are two points of view - London's and Jackson's- which gives us a good insight into their feelings and how they are developing.

The first book explored Avery's love of sports and everything sport-related. I am a bit of a couch potato, but I was fascinated. This time we dive into the business world (especially in the first part of the book) and the thorny topic of work-life balance. It is and it isn't easy to run a family business when you have a particularly close relationship with your siblings. On one hand, you can divide tasks according to your strengths and inclinations, on the other hand, what do you do when the old ways of working aren't right for the size of your business and you desperately need help?

Helena Hunting has a very easy-to-read, almost addictive writing style. I really enjoyed this well-written second-chance trope with interesting, likeable characters, a bit of steam (this is a Helena Hunting book, so sparks will fly) and plenty of tender, emotional moments. Can't wait to read Harley's story!

Starry-eyed Love by Helena Hunting was an amazing story about love when you least expect it. I just fell in love with this story, these characters and this series. The Spark House series is a winner!
Jackson and London were the perfect love story. Jackson is a rich bachelor not looking for love but casual fun. London is focusing on her work and not love after a broken heart. The two meet and London turns Jackson down in a bar. The two end up meeting again and the sparks fly. They will warm your heart, leave you smiling and believing in love.
This is a perfect love story about opening your heart to love, romance and fun. I didn’t want their story to end. Can’t wait for another book in this series.

This book just didn’t do it for me. I was bored most of the time and I wouldn’t mind having those hours back so I could read something else instead. Right off the bat, we have a tiny thing which really annoys me - we have the two main characters both with green eyes. It seems to me that an awful lot of people in romance books have green eyes, despite the fact that only 2% of the world population has green eyes (maybe 9% in the US. I’m one of them, but other than my mom, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone else.) So that set me off right away.

The book is written from two POVs: London, the female main character, and Jackson, the male main character. More of the book is from London’s POV, or at least it felt like that. There’s an emphasis on environmentalism through most of the story, with the hotel/event space that the Spark sisters run trying hard to find “green” suppliers and so forth. Jackson Holt, the mega-rich CEO, also presents as being very eco-conscious but since he has his own private jet and flies it back and forth across the country all the time, that doesn’t compute.

I’ve never read anything before by Helena Hunting and unfortunately this book did not turn me into a fan. If you’re looking for a run-of-the-mill contemporary romance with a bit of steam, you may enjoy this book. This is the second book in a series about the three Spark sisters and you can definitely read it as a standalone, as each book seems to focus on one of the sisters.

I bounced between the audiobook and the ebook for this title, which was very convenient. The audiobook has two distinct narrators: Stella Bloom reading the chapters from London’s POV; and Jason Clarke, reading the chapters from Jackson’s POV.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to an advance copy of this audiobook and to St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

When offered a chance to read Helena Huntings latest book, Starry-Eyed Love, I quickly signed up, then decided I wanted to read the first book in this Spark House series, When Sparks Fly. I really enjoyed it, so reading book two was a given, as most of Helena Hunting’s books are.

Both take place at Spark House, the family’s event hotel, and revolve around the lives of the three sisters, particularly their love lives. While they have that in common, each book is unique and I felt Starry-Eyed Love can stand alone just fine. I definitely enjoyed hearing more about Spark House and seeing what this sister, London, was doing.

London is career driven and ready to focus on helping their family business grow, without the a distraction of men, so she turns down the number offered by the handsome man at the bar she is at with her sisters. Months later, a multi-million dollar company is interested in doing business with the Spark sisters and she can’t say no to that, even when the company’s CEO just happens to be that man she rejected at the bar.

This was a very slow burn romance, all business up front but when things do start happening, you’ll see stars too! I am not always too fond of billionaire romances but Hunting made this one work.

The dynamics between the sisters seemed very real; you love ‘em, you hate ‘em, you love ‘em again. This book centers on London, the first one centered on Avery, and a I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the third sister, Harley.

4.5 Stars!
London Spark lives in Colorado where she owns and runs Spark House with her two sisters Avery and Harley. The unique event hotel has been in their family for three generations, and is their legacy. Since they took it over they have made it their mission to grow it and see it flourish. London handles the business side of things, but lately is feeling the stress and pressure of having too much on her plate. With Spark House needing new exposure she takes a meeting with a multi-million-dollar company that could be a good fit for a partnership. She's ready to prove herself and land the deal at her meeting, but then she's blindsided by a familiar face. The guy that asked her out a few months ago is also the CEO of the company she's wanting to work with.

Jackson Holt is even more gorgeous than she remembers. He's a charming, successful, powerful businessman who commands attention when he enters the room. The self made media mogul is a temptation she must resist. She is committed to remaining professional, so they can't happen since they will be working together. They are deeply in the friend zone while spending so much time together, but can't deny how effortless it feels between them. As their relationship evolves it becomes a challenge to not take things further when they both long for more.

Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting is the second book in the Spark House series. It's about the middle sister London. I love this world, and this book is my favorite so far. It's a swoony, heartwarming, slow burn, friends to lovers, office romance about self discovery, family and beautiful unexpected connections. It's full of emotion, angst, humor, flirty banter, and amazing chemistry. We even get some appearances from some of our other Helena Hunting characters we love. I adore this series and can't wait for more!!! <333
