Starry-Eyed Love is the follow-up to the adorable When Spark’s Fly. This time we follow London Spark as she finds love with a wealthy business owner. This is a slow burn romance with well-developed characters and excellent dialogue.

Now it is a slow burn romance, so the story takes a bit to get into. Once we finally get to the romance, I really loved it. I enjoyed catching up with past characters and just reading about the Spark sisters. You do not have to read the first book before you dive into this one, but I’d recommend it. Fans of slow-burn romances and workplace romances will enjoy this read!

ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book almost as much as I did the first one. This book keeps you wanting to read and not put it down and a constant smile on your face. This time you are following London and getting to know her more. There were times the other sister were a bit annoying but what sister isn't. Having the dual perspective story line has been enjoyable for these books, which normally I am not a fan of.

Bestselling romance author Helena Hunting is back with her newest rom-com that is sure to be a fan-favorite. Set to be released on May 10th, Starry-Eyed Love brings readers back to Spark House and the party-planning sisters who find love in the most unexpected places.

This romance was such a fun and quick read. First of all, who doesn’t love a good millionaire romance? But have that millionaire be a business associate who you are trying to keep things professional with while you’re both feeling the chemistry between you??? Sign me up! I liked the alternating POVs and the way the story progressed. I also really enjoyed London’s character, since we first met her in When Sparks Fly as Avery’s sister whom she was constantly butting heads with.

The beginning of this book was really fun, especially with all of the tension between London and Jackson, but I found myself finding the ending a bit predictable. I also really didn’t like Avery in this book, which was kind of disappointing considering how much I enjoyed her and Declan in the previous book in the series!

While the slow-burn kinda-workplace romance was really well done, this book wasn’t anything super profound. However, I still look forward to reading the next book in this series, which I hope will feature Harley!

*I received an ARC from St. Martin’s Press in exchange for my honest opinion.

London turned down a guy when he asked for her number. Months later they meet again under different circumstances. Things are more complicated then you'd think since both of them are single. The romance between Jackson and London was cute. It was slow a burner which I like. You knew they would end up together, and could feel the attraction and tension. Besides romance this book had a lot of funny moments. Which made it an enteraining book. I liked the plot of this book more than the first book of the series. I enjoyed reading about the Sparks sisters again and look forward to the next book

Helena Hunting is an author I hadn't read before but I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good love story with a slow build. London and Jackson are both very driven in their own careers but there is an attraction between them. It's a fun love story but not just love between London and Jackson but between London and her sisters.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and publisher for an ARC at my request. All thoughts are my own.

London Sparks and her two sisters own and run a boutique event venue and hotel in Colorado. When she meets a mysterious stranger and turns him down, she thinks nothing of it. That stranger turns out to be rich and successful billionaire Jackson Holt (because of course he is.) And Jackson wants to get into the Sparks House business. Will they keep it strictly professional, or will they get together?

This book reminded me a little of Fifty Shades of Gray, minus the s and m. This was a sweet, if completely predictable rom com, that had lots of spicy sex scenes. It's fairly forgettable, but a nice way to spend the day reading. For fans of Bromance Book Club or Alexandria Bellefleur.

Thank you to Netgalley and St Martin's Press for the advance copy for review.

Although well-written with a number of high points, these were unfortunately negated with long passages of inner turmoil, self-doubt, and repetitive passages. The Spark girls work hard to retain their family's legacy, but at a cost. The fact that they are not all on board with the need to move with the changes taking place in their lives, makes it difficult for the sisters to efficiently achieve their goals. I also felt that there were far too many things going on in the story, from carbon footprints to Etsy sites and crafts, banquets, and charity auctions. In between, there is a jealous ex-girlfriend, media fall-out, and temper tantrums. The sisters at Spark House have a lot going for them, but after getting the gist of the plot, I found myself skimming long passages of repetitive complaints and whining. I was not altogether enamored by Jackson Holt, who blows hot and cold until he comes to a point where he risks losing everything. Fortunately, the novel does come to a happy conclusion, but not before there is another emotional blow-up. I received a copy of this novel as a gift through NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I did not read the first Spark House series book, but I am currently scrambling on my Libby to read it!

Helena Hunting has written the most adorable story that I could NOT put down! This can easily be read as a stand-alone, so don’t let that scare you away!

London and her sisters own Spark House, a green-initiative small, boutique hotel in Colorado. Jackson is a billionaire who works to connect sponsors with green-initiative companies, and boy is he persuasive.

London by chance meets Jackson several months before her true meeting with him, as her company applies to be a part of Jackson’s company. So of course the companies connect, but what happens after that point just solidifies how much I appreciate Jackson’s humble beginnings, how London stands for herself in brokenness, and how the two of them truly relate to each other.

So if you like the billionaire + common girl trope (not even sure I would call London a commoner- she’s amazing), Colorado + NYC settings, sisterly love, characters with broken pasts, then you will certainly enjoy this one.

Jackson plays hot and cold with London, leaving her unsure whether what she is feeling is one sided. When they finally get together they are combustible but a past relationship causes serious problems to a future together. Both characters are extremely likeable and have depth due to the early deaths of their respective parents, which the author uses to good effect. Loved this book just as much as the first. A recommended read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I very much enjoyed this, the second book in the series. This book centers on middle sister, London, Oldest sister Avery was given the business by their grandmother, but convinced her two sisters to stay with the business. But she is dictatorial, overriding her sisters when they feel that the business has grown so much that they need help. London, who is the creative one, has her own successful Etsy store but is assigned the business end of the family business, which she does out of duty, not passion. Coming off a breakup, she brushes off a man that comes on to her in a bar, but never really forgot him and regretted her actions. So, fate steps in and gives her a second chance when his assistant finds Spark House for one of their business initiatives. Jackson, self made millionaire, was smitten at first sight, but needs to go slow. These are two wonderful characters, very cute and lots of lively banter. But the conflict created, should not have happened between two people who care so much about each other and should have talked it out, as they have done with everything else in their lives. Personally, I also got tired of the word "green", since much of these "green initiatives" are fake and are causing financial burdens on those who can not afford it, just so wealthy people can make them selves feel good and appear like they are altruistic when they aren't.

I read an ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting is book 2 in the Spark House series. I was so excited to get London's story. London and Jackson seem to be two similar souls, who together learn to love and trust in each other. It was truly written in the stars! They have amazing chemistry, and their love story absolutely warmed my heart! Helena Hunting has written another sweet, emotional, and heartwarming romance, and I always look forward to more!

I definitely liked London and Jackson's story better than Avery and Declan's. Their story is so cute and so funny, I had so much fun reading it. Just like in the previous book, sparks fly between them but London declined him when he asked her out. Now months later, they met again in a professional setting and they're determined to keep things professional. I loved their banter and they're so cute together. However, I'd rather not have the miscommunication trope in this one because it was something that they could have talked about easily. Overall, I still enjoyed their story.

Second visit with the Spark sisters and this time it’s London’s turn to find her Beau.
This is a real slow burn and quite a lengthy read. I enjoyed London and Jackson’s journey to love. They are both very proper….their interactions were interesting, I found they were sometimes almost too formal with each other…having said that I really appreciate that this author can create such varied characters in her stories and I’m never quite sure what to expect. A testament to her diverse writing style and talent.

London is very caring and will do anything for her sisters, almost to the point of being Avery’s doormat. I felt her relationship with her younger sister was much more balanced and I’m looking forward to meeting Harley in her own story.
Jackson is CEO of Holt Media, charismatic and very driven, he is smitten with London and sets his sights on wooing her…..!

A couple of mishaps along the way and some much needed home truths, which eventually lead us to a lovely ending to their story.

4.5⭐️.

It’s always an absolute pleasure to read Helena Huntings latest book…

And Starry-Eyed Love did not disappoint. Charming & funny, with chemistry & tension, it’s one of those feel good romances you just need in your life!

London Spark is small town business owner and Jackson Holt is a self-made multimillionaire CEO. He sees something in her - he’s interested in her but also interested in her business and ideas. He brings her into his world, pushes her out of her comfort zone and gives her connections. These two are trying to keep the line between personal and professional entirely seperate, but it’s just not possible… Taking a step back from it all, she realises that he’s the spark she’s been missing all along…

Great addition to the Spark House series! In her true fashion, Helena Hunting delivers cuteness and entertainment in this romantic comedy. Jackson and London’s story is filled with hilarious banter, sweet moments, steam and a bit of emotions.

I really liked London. She’s devoted to her family, driven, creative and sassy. There’s soomething instantly likeable about the female character that’s strong and vulnerable at the same time.

Jackson definitely charmed my pants off. He’s like a perfect mix of hotness and sweetness. He’s caring, supporting and so swoon-worthy!

Although their romance was a slow-burn, it was definitely charged with a sizzling chemistry and sinful passion. Their road to happily-ever-after wasn’t quick or easy, but it was worth every roadblock along the way.

Starry-Eyed Love is a great, feel-good romance that tugs at the heartstrings and puts a smile on reader’s face. I love how Helena filled with with funny, sweet and heartwarming moments. That’s exactly why I read every book she publishes. I cannot wait for the last sister’s story!

This is book 2 in the series but it easily stands alone. In this story we also get to see a few cameo appearances by some of the authors previous Shacking Up series like Griff, Cosy and Linc. They are connected to Jackson, who is this books leading man and he introduces London to those characters.

London is the leading lady in this story, and she runs her family inn and wedding planning/venue business with her two other sisters. Avery is the sister from the first book and in this story she is a bridezilla. Harley is the other sister who will get a book next.

London meets Jackson when she is invited to partner with a green business thats goal is to raise money for their initiatives and charities, She is in Colorado and Jackson is based in NYC. But he is expanding into Colorado so his firm wants to bring London and her sisters in to partner with them as they host events in Colorado.

Essentially Jackson and London begin a business only relationship as they work on this event together. He has a firm rule about mixing business and romance and so while he is in heavy like with London he forbids himself in getting personally involved with London until their business concludes.

I loved the first 60-70% of the story. In it we explore their business relationship as they fall for each other and then when it concludes we also get to see them date and spend time together romanticly.

But then this woman that Jackson works with forms a sort of love triangle with Jackson and London. Jackson never cheats and we never see him get romantic with this other woman, its more about their past together than anything else and Jackson hides some things from London. This is my issue with this woman, Jackson refuses to even kiss London until their business relationship ends but this other woman works with him in a significant way as she runs their social media, she is also a family friend and he also had a romantic relationship with her. This for me was a big issue. Not because he hides things or he doesn't see how this other woman feels, but because he was fine mixing business and personal with her but he was not okay doing it with London. This was a really big issue for me liking this story and Jackson. I did not understand it at all. It left me very confused.

What I do like is that after this is discovered, London dumps Jackson and won't listen to him and making up takes a lot of effort. I loved that it was not a quick fix and she makes him really work for it.

As a whole I enjoyed this story a lot. I hated the slight triangle and had some questions about it. But if I ignore that part of the story I loved the early part of Jackson and London's relationship.

Sparks fly in this slowburn romance

✅ Slowburn Romance
✅ Hot Chemistry
✅ Professional vs Personal Relationship
✅ Debonair Businessman
✅ Strong Sassy Woman

STARRY-EYED LOVE is a slowburn romance that had me ticking every single one of my boxes. This was a wonderful story that completely captivated me. It's fun, humourous, romantic, and engaging. This is the second story in the Stark House series and spotlights middle sister London.

"He's not just kinda hot, he's Bunsen-burner-blue-flame hot ... In pictures, Jackson Holt is stunning. In person, he's a force."

London Spark first encountered Jackson Holty when she was on a night out at a local bar with her two sisters. Looking like a burly lumberjack Jackson approaches London and asks her to go on a date, which she politely refuses. Several months later London is in the middle of a presentation for Spark House when Jackson walks into the room. No longer is he the burly lumberjack, instead before her is a man impeccably dressed in a suit, his hair trimmed, and his face cleanly shaven. This man was scrumptious. How can one man have two totally different devastating looks? Sparks fly, the chemistry hot, however working together means their relationship needed to remain strictly professional ... or did it?

"There's chemistry between us, It crackles like thin sheets of ice under heavy treads every time I'm near her. I just need to stay on the right side of the line ..."

Even though their relationship is restricted by the boundaries of work, I loved the friendship that developed between them over the ensuing weeks. I enjoyed the humour and fun that London and Jackson shared, but it was the support he gave her that really endeared me to Jackson, especially the help he gave her with business for Spark House. Once the professional side of their relationship is over, the personal side begins, and OH BOY, the heat really went up a lot of notches. Jackson and London couldn't get enough of each other. Jackson is hiding a secret from his past, when it is revealed, hearts are broken. Groveling from Jackson was definitely required, but would it be enough?

" ... I've learned that loving you is the easiest thing I've ever done in my entire life."

STARRY-EYED LOVE was another wonderful read from Helena Hunting. I laughed at the antics and relationships between London and her two sisters, Avery and Harley. I adored Jackson, even though I wanted to hit him over the back of his head numerous times. This was another book of Ms. Hunting's that I found extremely hard to put down. A definite MUST READ.

Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in the Stark House series. The books are the stories of the three Spark sisters who run the boutique hotel and event space. This is Londons story.

London Spark is the creative one and makes the centerpieces for the events they hold. Recently she's been struggling to find balance and that what seems to come naturally for her sisters in their roles at Spark House it takes more for her to get through the client meetings and the mundane of finances. And now the biggest opportunity falls into their lap and it once again London is tasked to take the meeting. But something she was dreading turns out to be the best thing not only for the business, but for her.
Sexy CEO with a passion for the environment and looks good in a suit or a t-shirt, yes please. Jackson Holt is the perfect blend of down to earth, handsome and hardworking. He's not had things handed to him so he holds tightly to those who knew him before the money. After losing his parents he's focused on giving back, which is how he ends up unexpectedly in a meeting with London. He feels the sparks and is trying desperately to avoid flames as the work on a project together. He finds likely ways to stay engaged with her and is adorable. And once their project is complete all bets are off on keep the flame from igniting.

Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting is a wonderful, family-centered, angsty, steamy romance. Which, when you type it all out like that, feels kind of weird.

London and her two sisters have inherited their family’s small hotel and event center, and it’s been doing well for a small independent business. But when a major company contacts them with an offer to join a project that would bring them wider exposure, the sisters jump at the chance and London is picked to go give their presentation to the company. But it turns out the super hot CEO is the same guy she turned down in a bar three months earlier. Oops.

The attraction is definitely still there, and having to balance professionalism with this growing tension is driving both London and Jackson crazy.

Did we really need another almost-billionaire meets small-town girl love story? …No? But am I glad we got this one? …Yes. Definitely yes. It’s a quick, easy read with that guaranteed happy ending, and it also features three sisters who always ALWAYS have each other’s backs.

If you’ve experienced the loss of a parent, read with care. This one deals (subtly) with themes of grief and loss. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my advance copy.

I could not put this down!

We are back with the sisters from Spark House as they continue to try to expand and improve their family run event hotel.

Middle Spark sister, London is the financial guru fro Spark house, even though meeting with new clients and the black and white finance details are not her love, she’d much rather let her creative juices flow. She has stepped up to take this role in the family.

So when she’s in the middle of a big presentation for a new partnership for Spark House and the man the shot down a few months back comes into her already stressful meeting, she is thrown for a loop! Turns out it’s Jackson Trent, he owns this enterprise and he’s a pretty big deal.

Impressed by London’s presentation for Spark House and still intrigued by her, Jackson takes a personal interest in their business relationship…

This had the makings of your typical billionaire/ regular person romance, extravagant gifts, flights across the country, special VIP opportunities… but I didn’t give me the same vibe. Jackson is an environmental activist, he’s head over heels for London and is very considerate of her. Sure there were some fun Cinderella moments and also some major class clashes, but These two were couple I could get behind.

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook version and absolutely loved the perfect voicing of both Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom for Jackson and London. Their voice work really added to the story and added another dimension to the characters. I’m a big fan of dual narration and these two balanced each other well and created a very enjoyable listening experience.

This book was a real treat. I was in need of a fun and flirty read and Helena Hunting delivered in spades!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from St. Martins Press through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
