I am loving these Spark sisters. After meeting the Spark sisters in the first book and following the eldest, Avery Spark and her love story with Declan, we finally come to the middle Spark sister ,London. You get a small taste of London in the first book so when I came into this second book I wasn't sure what to expect. She seemed a little uptight in the first book but I didn't know enough about her to really make a judgement on who she was.

Cut to Starry-Eyed Love. London is just post break-up and spending time with her sisters at a bar. She is approached by a rugged guy who pays for her table's tab and asks for her number. London being just a few weeks shy of her last break-up says that she has a boyfriend, not bring ready to jump into the dating pool just yet. Fast forward a few months. London is in charge of most of the business aspects of the Spark House, the B&B and Event hotel that she and her sisters run. They are 3rd generation Sparks who run this business. And while Avery thrives in her job of event planning and love the Spark House with all her heart, London is happy to use her creative side to do decor and centerpieces but running the business side gives her a lot of anxiety. It's not something that is natural to her.

When a giant tech company is starting a new initiative looking to help smaller companies who are doing great things with green technology and matching them up with larger corporations to help sponsor them, they contact the Spark House and want to bring them into the fold. London jumps at the chance and takes days working on a presentation. What she doesn't expect at the presentation is to be confronted by the rugged man who asked for her number long ago, except now he's clean-up and the CEO of the giant tech firm.

Jackson Holt had just come out from camping in the woods for several weeks when he first laid eyes on London Sparks in that bar. He remembered her smile and laugh and couldn't take his eyes off her. So when he walks by a meeting some of his employees are having and sees London in the room. He stops what he's doing, cancels his next meeting and is drawn into the room to listen to her. What he didn't expect was the sparks and the sass that were coming from her. He couldn't help himself and while he never does this, invested himself into her business. The downside is that now he can't date her. He would never mix his business with dating. So until their project is over, he is keeping her close but not crossing the line.

Jackson and London have serious chemistry. They have an ease to their relationship, even while trying to keep it all business. But they slip into a casualness between them that shows how comfortable they are around each other. They open themselves up to the other in ways they never do with other people. And while both agree that they can't cross the line while doing business, they definitely are attracted to the other.

And with any good romance, there's the twist! A lot of misunderstandings and miscommunication, not just between Jackson and London, but with a few other people, create a rift that neither seems to know how to cross. But the happy ever after is always there and the banter, steam and great storytelling you're used to with Hunting is present in this story as well. I love the relationship with not just Jackson and London but also between the sisters. It's a love story and a sister story, all in one. And I can't wait to get to Harley's story. She's been one of my favorite characters so far in these books and I know Hunting has a great story for her ready to go.

This second book in the Spark House series was a good read but one that took me a while to get into. When I read the first book of this series, I was hooked from the start but this second book had a super slow burn to it that took me longer to get into. I will admit that once I started to get into this story, I became hooked on this story too.

In this addition to this series, we get to know more about middle sister London all while remaining in the loop a little with oldest sister Avery Spark. London is the creative sister and one that is not too happy with her part of the business administration end of the family legacy since it is not one of her strong points. She is super anxious when having to pitch the business to others but will do anything to help the business grow especially when she finds herself presenting for a sponsorship with Teamology with the last man that she expects to.

Jackson Holt is a millionaire businessman that at first meets London by chance in a bar but at the wrong time. Later, Jackson meets London again when he has the opportunity to have a business partnership with her and her sisters and he jumps in with both feet. He tries his hardest to keep the growing attraction between the two of them and their relationship professional until their business arrangement has ended but as the more time the pair spend together the harder it is for Jackson to maintain his professional boundaries.

This was a good read that I enjoyed throughout but it was a slow burn, slow build up read. At times, I found this frustrating as you could taste and feel the chemistry between London and Jackson. I enjoyed watching the feelings between the pair grow while learning more about each of them as well as getting a see into them as people - their fears and what makes them tick. I also enjoyed the cameo appearances from some of the Mills and the Mooreheads from the Shacking up series.

Overall, this was a good read that I enjoyed as an addition to this series. I look forward to seeing what is in store for the last Spark sister and will anxiously await the answer to that! I also recommend this book and this series to others.

London is out with her sisters (and business partners of their event hotel Spark House) for a drink when a charming man hits on her. She turns him down, having just broke up with her ex and no room in her busy life. When fate reunites them in a way that will bring not only business and much needed revenue to Spark House, but also this charming man into her life, things blossom quickly. But he's got secrets and she's not sure where she stands with him, or even Spark House.

Starry-Eyed Love is an enjoyable romance with super likable MC's. London I adored. She's real. Strong. Selfless. There was much I could relate to in her. And Jackson. He's sophisticated sexy. He has this charming air to him that is sexy. And he pays attention. He sees her. These two have an instant attraction and great chemistry but they move in more of a friends to lovers slow burn. And I mean slow... a little too slow in the middle for me personally.

But there was much to enjoy. Some great steam in the end. Laugh out loud humor. And plenty of heart. I did not love the drama in the end, but did love how it was resolved. Avery drove me bonkers. But there's always one sibling, am I right? Overall I enjoyed this one, more so that the first. And am looking forward to sweet Harley's story!

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND THE PUBLISHER FOR THIS REVIEW COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

I didn't know it was part of a series. however, it didn't feel like I was missing something.

London is an owner of Spark House along with her two sisters. She is career-oriented and works really hard, although she is not natural in that work and had to put more effort. Her work life doesn't give her time to date someone until She met Jackson. CEO of a huge multi-millionaire company who is looking for potential partnerships with small businesses that are environmentally friendly.

Usually, I don't read much romance and whenever I do, I cringe a lot. This book was totally on the opposite spectrum, it was mostly sweet and cute ( and a bit cringy). I love the sisters' dynamic, how siblings can be different from each other but still make everything work. Jackson and London's plot was a bit cliche but I really like when the MCs are mature enough to communicate rather than listen to others. I also like the fact that work-life and business were always the focus of the story, unlike so many other books. All of the characters were flawed which made them relatable. Overall, it was a cute read.

4.5 stars - Helena Hunting does it again! In Starry Eyed Love another Spark sister finds her HEA. It’s another yummy romance and this time the hero is a billionaire, instead of a best friend. The read is sexy, honest and full of heart. What’s not to like?!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow loved this story. Loved the instant connection London and Jackson had. Loved the back and fourth between them. They were great at making each other feel things they didn’t know they needed. Could not put this book down. Had to see where the story was going. Did not except the twist. A must read.

Witty and emotional, Starry Eyed Love is an absolute delight! I adored being back in the Spark House world, and loved the chemistry between Jackson and London. The story flowed beautifully and was a joy to read.

Thank you to the publisher for the early review copy!
Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in the Spark House series. They are interconnected standalone romances. I haven't actually read the first book, but I loved this one I likely will go back and read it. This romance was really cute and made me fall hard for them very quickly. I rarely cry when reading and I was so immersed in the story and the characters that I definitely ugly cried for a chapter or two. The romance was a pretty slow burn which tend to be the ones I like best and once it was full swing I was here for it.

Definitely recommend this book!

I really enjoyed this book - even more so than the first book in the series. Equally enjoyable as the romance between London and Jackson was the conflict between London and her sisters Harley and Avery regarding the state of Sparks House, and the resolution of both were very satisfying. It took me a bit to warm up to Jackson because I found him (his dialogue?) very formal and business-like even with London. But he turned out to be pretty swoon-worthy! I just wish we saw more of the grandmother throughout. I assume the next installment will be Harley's story and I am all for it!

“Starry-Eyed Love" is the second in this series by Helena Hunting. I truly enjoyed the first and was glad to get the opportunity to read tis story of the Spark House again. This was such an engaging story and was filled with humor and romance. It is the story of London Spark who is out celebrating her freedom after a breakup with her sisters. During their night on the town, a handsome man pays for their meals and who she finds out later it is millionaire Jackson Holt, CEO of the company that wants to include her family business into their company.

Both London and Jackson are likeable individuals who are written in the pages as realistic people…flaws and all. I thought they were well-developed characters and I loved how their romantic relationship took its time to bloom and was not rushed. This story shows the dedication of London who is caring and works hard for her family’s business. Although there one hiccup of the hero, Jackson’s not liking office romance but finding himself entangled in one is ironic. There is sweet banter between the two but also both characters learning to deal with issues of their past. . Not quite as enjoyable than the first but was truly a delightful romantic comedy and workplace romance trope. Recommend the read and looking forward to the next in the series. A 3.5-Stars rounded to 4-Stars.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for this ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Starry-Eyed Love is a wonderful and a beautiful contemporary romance. Though this novel is the second book of the series it can be read as a standalone as well.
This novel is a very sweet but at the same time an emotional love story of London and Jackson. I loved both the characters who were so imperfectly perfect. It's hard not to fall in love with all the characters of this book. The bond between the sisters is so heartwarming and I am definitely going to be reading the first book of the series. Witty, humorous, emotional, romantic and at the same time grounded with family relations this is a perfect novel which will warm your heart.

Dear Fellow Reader,

I have decided that it should be Spring. I’m sure the weather will cooperate, right? One can hope…

Last September I reviewed a book entitled When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting. (https://cecooney.com/2021/09/21/when-sparks-fly-by-helena-hunting/) When I started reading Starry Eyed Love, I was confused. It sounded so much like a book I had read but not exactly like it. It took me a minute to connect that this book was a sequel to When Sparks Fly. In the first book, we learned about Avery Spark and her love life. In the new book (to be published on May 10, 2022) London Spark, the middle sister is the center of attention.

London Spark has just ended a relationship that she didn’t feel was going to go anywhere. She and her sisters are in a bar talking when a handsome stranger makes a pass at London. She is not interested and shoots down the guy telling him that she just broke up with someone and is not interested.

Months pass. London gets a call from a large corporation asking for a meeting. It seems that the corporation would like to connect small firms with other firms interested in doing business in an ecologically sound manner. London is the business administrator of Spark House, the small inn that she and her two sisters run, and sees this as a big opportunity. She goes to the meeting and while she is talking to some of the corporate representatives, the CEO of the company, Jackson Holt, walks into the meeting and starts asking her a lot of questions. The guy looks familiar, but she can’t place him.

Of course, he ends up being the guy who hit up on her in the bar a few months before. There is a definite attraction there but since they are going to work together on a project, he knows he can’t act on the attraction. Thus begins a series of misunderstandings between the two of them.

While London loves working with her sisters, she is not exactly comfortable with her role as business administrator for the Inn. She has an Etsy company where she makes and sells floral arrangements and that is much more her love. How long can she continue to give up what she loves to work with her sisters?

I liked this book more than I liked the first book. If you are looking for a light read, this could be your book. There are plenty of conflicts both romantic and with her work life to keep it moving along. I also (which will come as a shock to those who know my feelings on reading books in order) don’t think you need to have read the first book to know what is going on in this book. (I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.) (Phew! I almost forgot the disclaimer.)

Thanks for reading!

Starry-Eyed Love⁣
By Helena Hunting⁣
Publisher: St Martin’s Griffen (May 10. 2022)⁣

This is the second book in the series about 3 Spark sisters finding love. The first book was about Avery and I liked it but didn’t love it, so I was hesitant to pick this one up… I think what propelled me was more that I really like how the author writes her romance novels, so I took a chance. And dang it, I really enjoyed this one. ⁣

London Spark meets a smooth talking (𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵?!) guy when out for drinks with her sisters. Coming off of a breakup, she turned him down, and toasted to her single status. Fast forward months later and 💥 guess who meets again, just in a meeting about connecting their two businesses. ⁣

A multi million company would set the Spark House up with recognition and success… which is why London needs to say yes despite knowing that she turned down the CEO months earlier…..⁣

Something about this relationship where it seemed like it was built on more of a friendship (𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴) that leads to 🔥 romance hooked me. I loved the slow build up but I think it’s because I also really loved the two main characters. Jackson & London together brought steam but it was the gritty side stories about their lives that endeared me most. ⁣

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦, 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘵 (𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦) 𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸. 4.5 ⭐️

Starry-Eyed Love is witty, funny and super steamy! I really enjoyed this story! The second book in the Spark House Series follows London who just broke up with her boyfriend. She has zero interest in the man hitting on her at a the bar. She blows it off till three month later he walks back into her life. He's the hot hot CEO of the company she's partnering with. Their chemistry sizzles as they struggle to keep their relationship strictly business. This story is ton of fun and it was surprisingly funny! I loved it!

London is creative and the business side of Spark House that she runs with her sisters. She is hit on by a hot bearded guy in a bar one night and turns him down. Three months later, they meet again as he is the CEO of the media company she is pitching to for an initiative. Jackson is attracted to London, but tries to remain professional since they are now working together.

Overall, I enjoyed their romance and the story. The romance had great build up and was sweet. Second in the series, it can be read standalone and I enjoyed this one much more than the first.

Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.

This book is a well-developed romance, with a great balance between humor and honest characters. The relationship develops at a great pace and this book is incredibly well written

This was a solid 3 for me. I really enjoy Helena Hunting but this series is hit n miss for me. Londons character was interesting to me in Book 1 of the series and I was excited for her book. But, I didn't connect with her like I thought I would and that's why I dropped the stars down. I enjoyed Jackson and his characters backstory and his eco-friendly business venture. It is a slower burn type book so if these are not your cup of tea then maybe skip.

Starry-Eyed Love is the second (standalone) book in the Spark House series by Helena Hunting. While the Spark House series is slightly different than many other writing styles by Helena Hunting this this happens to be one of my favorites. The story of London and Jackson is just adorable and the dynamics of their relationship- business and personal will pull you right in. Helena Hunting is always able to find a way to have characters from her other series interlink within her books and brings you back all the feels from the other series and gives you a big smile on your face. If you are looking for a sweet, adorable read then Starry-Eyed Love is the book for you.

resh from her breakup London is not ready for a new relationship, so when a super hot guy pays her tab and ask her out she turns him down. Months later she gets the chance of a lifetime to work with a big company that would help her company in turn... but the company she plans on working with is owned by the same guy she turned down, Jackson Holt. But the more time Jackson and London work together the more they start to fall for each other. Jackson however has drawn a clear line, he won’t ask her out until after their business is done because one should never mix business with pleasure. But when Jackson’s secretive past finally comes out, London will have to ask herself if she can handle all his secrets and if she is ready for the heartbreak that will come with opening up to someone. This was a pretty sweet story about unexpectedly falling in love. Overall, a cute read and great for romance lovers!
