Fun London is back after recently breaking up her boyfriend. She is one part of the sisterly trio that runs Spark House. Their business has been growing exponentially, and as the business administrator she is often the one selling their business to potential new clientele; but she would rather be in charge of decorating for events.
Jackson Holt, sexy, successful CEO walks in on London’s presentation to his company. Much to her chagrin, he happened to be the man who hit on London a few months ago, that she had turned down. Spending more time together, their business relationship broadens, as well as their attraction to one another. But Jackson’s stance is that once their business dealing are finalized then they could pursue whatever is sparking between them.
But Jackson has a secretive past, and there are high tensions between London and her sisters. Something has got to give…
This took a while to get going for me – but I knew it was laying down the ground work. I loved watching London grow – at first she struggled, juggling lots of balls in the air at the same time. Jackson was her perfect compliment. They are both driven, but together they learned to sit back just a little bit more.
Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is the second book set in the Spark House world, but can be read as a complete standalone. I'll read anything by Helena Hunting, I especially love a show build up romance so it's a win all around. I love London Spark, she quirky and smart. She is so dedicated to her family. I didn't think I'd like Jackson but he won me over relatively quickly. I highly recommend this book.
London is such a great heroine. I loved her in the first book but here she takes the stage in full bloom and she really sparks.
Jackson is just a much nicer guy than I thought he would, especially since he’s a CEO and we all know that they usually are really alpha and sometimes jerks but that’s not the case here. At points, he is quite innocent.
Probably that’s why it works so much for me, I do need some more soft heroes in my romances.
The family and friends relationship ties are strong and I’m really glad that Celine proved to be a “good villain “ , maybe we will get her story at some point in the future.
Starry eyes story for anyone who wants to get lost in a few hours of great characters and swooning romance book.
NetGalley arc
I enjoyed this book much more than the first in the series! I felt there was a lot more chemistry between the main characters. I look forward to more stories in this universe.

Starry-Eyed Love was an enjoyable read, I liked it even more than When Sparks Fly. I enjoyed the storyline of this book a lot, it was interesting and had its differences from other books. The first meeting between London and Jackson doesn't go so well, at least for Jackson. And then there's the second meeting which has a few bumps as well. They were both quite entertaining though! I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship and that it takes time for it to develop. They still form a bond fairly quickly, and clearly there's chemistry there, but they still take their time. They're quite the cute couple and I really enjoyed reading all about their relationship. I also enjoyed learning more about Spark House and all the work it entails. I will admit there were some business and green aspects that went a little over my head, but I still liked learning about it. Overall I found the book cute, a bit emotional, steamy, and funny. I'm hoping that this means Harley will have a book next! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*
I didn’t realize when I first got this book that it was the second book in the Spark House series, and I was so excited when I realized it was a continuation of the story. This book focuses on London, who is a bit anxious much of the time and a guy she first meets at a bar while out with her sisters. I absolutely LOVED this book and how everything came together at the end as far as the mix up regarding Jackson’s previous relationship. I am so excited to see what is in store for Harley and I also kind of hope there is a book for Trent and….the person he ends up with! No spoilers!!!!
This is perfect for readers looking for sweet, charming romance which is definitely a slow-burn romance. Jackson, a millionaire CEO asks London in a bar but she turns him down. But they end up meeting again months later and then she asks him out but he is forced to say no due to workplace relationships. But once the project ends, they cannot wait to get together but his past relationship comes in the way and creates a messy situation for them to tackle first.
Having read the previous book, I knew London definitely deserved a book for her story. I liked how hardworking she was and felt her sisters were dumping too much on her. Thankfully she opens up and tells them what she truly is passionate about. Jackson is so sensitive, came with emotional baggage, he was just so sweet. I liked how he supports her with her work and her confidence in life in general.
An emotional slow burn novel that proves once again that Helena Hunting knows romance and understands that sometimes family obligations over shadows what the heart wants. Jackson and London feel an immediate spark when they first meet but it is not until a work related function that the two finally are able to get to know each other. Business lines are crossed when the passion between them ignites. But can you have love and job security? Which one must go? Beautifully written and enjoyable characters make this another great read.
The Spark sisters are back in this sequel to Hunting’s When Sparks Fly. Though it is a sequel, it could be read as a stand alone.
London Sparks meets Jackson Holt at a bar, and though he’s very attractive and the sparks are flying, she turns him down. During a professional presentation at a company worth millions, she learns Jackson is their CEO.
This one is a slow burn, with lots of business language to clutter it, but hang in there because the payoff is worth it.
And I’m sure we’ll see the Spark sisters again.
I absolutely love a book series that has a book dedicated to each main character with characters from previous books returning. It’s like we get to know each of them, but still see our old friends.
This was a four star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me, and I look forward to the next one.
**Many thanks to #NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for the eARC in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are my own.**
This book was not it. Slow and boring and very formal writing. I really didn’t get the chemistry between London and Jackson.
Thank you to netgalley and St Martins for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a sexy, sweet, and funny story. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters (Jackson and London). This book was kept me engaged from the first page to the last. This book is part of a series however can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend this book.
I received this ARC from Netgalley and St. Martins press for my honest review.
London and her sisters are struggling with work life balance as their family business, Spark House, expands in this second installment of Helena Hunt’s Spark House series. I enjoyed catching up with the sisters in this friends to lovers romance that I’m sure can function as a stand alone novel. Funny and sweet in parts this was a good light read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read it. I’m reviewing voluntarily.

really liked it
Overall: 4/5
Spice level: 2.5/5
Tropes: workplace romance (sort of), CEO/millionaire
This book was sweet and sexy and everything you'd expect from a trad published HH book!
I loved the chemistry between London and Jameson from the moment they meet, even though she initially turns him down.
The journey throughout this book shows the progression of London, her sisters, and the 3 of them running their family boutique hotel. It grows exponentially thanks to a partnership facilitated by Jameson's consulting firm, which also causes rifts between the sisters because of how much stress the growth causes. To the point where I stared to dislike Avery's character. She's the oldest and wants to keep it all in the family instead of hiring outside help so that they're not run into the ground and overly stressed, which happens anyway.
I liked that Jameson pushed London outside of her comfort zone and encouraged her to do things for herself and not just for the hotel, including focusing more on her own business and its growth. He also pushed her to just take care of herself and rest.
The character development was well formed but the secondary plot between the sisters and them fighting just felt extra.
Overall, I enjoyed the story and can't wait for book 3!
The storyline was good with characters that were so well rounded that I remained totally engaged throughout the entire book!
This charming novel drew me into the story straight away, and it was a joy to read. The main character, London, is appealing and believable, confident in some ways but unsure of herself in others, and her struggle with anxiety in a job that doesn't play to her strengths rings true. The relationships between London and her sisters are also well-depicted and plausible, and Jackson and London's romance develops nicely throughout the book. Light touches of humor add to the novel's appeal without descending into slapstick excess. The pace and flow make it easy to read; I found myself halfway through in what seemed like no time. Starry-eyed Love will be a great spring/summer read for those who enjoy stories based on family relationships and a love story.
So this has the same vibe has spark house 1 (duh) which if you have been reading along you will realize is not the authors normal romance telling.. which there is nothing wrong with. I loved Jackson and Londons meet up and the sisteers relationship. The story is sweet and feel good instead of the normal laugh out loud comedies. I think book 2 is better in terms of romantic connection. So for me this was nice and sweet adn a good summer romaance book.
Starry-Eyed Love was an excellent escape into the Spark series. Not only did Helena Hunting manage to give us a sweeping romance but she threw in some bonus updates on a couple of her past book couples!!
I fell in love with London in book 1 when she was constantly making little stars all the time and I could tell she was overwhelmed at work and home but that story didn't center on her so I was more than excited for this story. London is just a few days out of a breakup when a rugged guy asks for her number and she turns him down. Meet cute fail... Until said bearded man shows up all shiny and new in an expensive suit and a glimmer in his eye across a conference table from her and nearly knocks her off her feet. Seriously Jackson can make an entrance.
This was a bit of a slow burn but totally worth the outcome. Jackson and London were a great match and although they were both kinda tip toeing around the idea of a relationship beyond business I loved how the author gave them space to grow and develop. The power dynamics in the relationship and the miscommunications that they end up facing were fun to read. I was riveted by the updates on the Spark sisters and how they have developed since book 1. Avery, who i adored in book one definitely grated on me in book 2 and I loved that for her. She became even more realistic and three dimensional.
I highly HIGHLY recommend this series and this book especially!
I love this series! So cute and beautifully simple really. London and her sisters lives are such an easy read even with all their chaos and stress. I love the idea of Spark House and the growth in this book and cannot wait to see its success along with Harley's HEA!
4.5 stars!
This billionaire romance was to die for! Helena Hunting is definitely becoming one of my new favorites :)
This started off as a slow burn, but when it got spicy, it got spicy. Those two really had to hold back their feelings and urges, but they came together with a bang.
But that's not all I enjoyed about this story. I loved how the author still gave the dynamic between the sisters an important role and I really enjoyed seeing those relationships develop more.
It was definitely an easy read. A little too sugary sweet for my taste, but I liked being back at Spark House so I pushed through. I didn't buy the chemistry between London and Jackson, unfortunately. I enjoyed them together, but I just didn't see this "I can't keep my hands to myself" love we were told they had for each other. It was probably just me, but it didnt always work for me.
As a side note - I loved Avery and Declan's book and adored Avery as a character.. but she is selfish and unlikable in this story. She is redeemed at the end, but sheesh. It wasn't a good look.
