She's done it again, y'all! With The Wedding Season, Katy Birchall cemented herself not only as a must-buy author for me, but truly and genuinely my FAVORITE author. I was honestly nervous for this book, thinking there's no way it could live up to Secret Bridesmaid. Well, I was happily proven wrong! Katy has this amazing talent to write comedy in a way that makes you actually laugh out loud without feeling forced or obligated. Every story of hers is true perfection, and The Wedding Season was yet again another beautiful love story that involved so much more. This was a story of personal growth and learning what the meaning of one's happy ending is. How someone can write something so relatable is astonishing to me. I truly could sing the praises of this book forever, but I digress that you NEED to read this book. I'll update with my full review & link when I post on IG, but RUN don't walk to order this!

Many thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I just enjoyed this book so much! Labeled a rom com, but it's that and much more.

We meet Freya when she is dumped by Matthew the day before their wedding. This was the first of 8 weddings she and her friends had this season and she didn't know how she could face the rest of them with a shattered heart.

Enter her BFF's and wedding couple #8, Leo & Ruby. They create a series of challenges that Freya has to complete during each wedding in an effort to distract her from her pain and help her find herself again. Not only does Freya work on herself, but she also works through some damaged family relationships that help with her growth.

This book is so funny and I was chuckling throughout, which is rare for me. It is just the right mix of fun and serious. It is uplifting, inspiring and leaves you with all the warm fuzzy feels. It also makes your realize that if you don't have BFFs like Leo & Ruby, then you are going about life all wrong.

This was a breath of fresh air after a series of mediocre reads. It's a slow burn, but so enjoyable and I didn't want to put it down.

This story is charming and fun. Katy Birchall definitely excels at writing this type of book. Feya and all the supporting characters, are fun-loving, and intriguing. In the end I enjoyed this light sweet book and would recommend it.

This book is absolutely adorable. Lighthearted. Fun. It was a breath of fresh air that is needed for so many right now. The main character, Freya, cracks me up and I love the banter and friends in her corner.

Easy breezy summer fun!

I mainly picked this up for the book cover but god DANG this was such a fun ride! It was great curling up in my bed while doing online school and just getting sucked into the characters’ world and their relationships
