On A Quiet Street delivers a thrilling plot paired with exceptional character development, all nestled within an exclusive gated community in Oregon. It’s a seemingly perfect neighborhood where everyone appears to have their lives perfectly curated—yet secrets, lies, and deceit fester behind closed doors.

What a wild ride! From the very first page, this book is impossible to put down! With twists, half-truths, and suspicious neighbors, you'll find yourself questioning everything and everyone. I was constantly rethinking my theories! And the ending? Total perfection! If you’re a fan of domestic thrillers, this one is an absolute must-read—it's incredibly entertaining!

I love domestic dramas, but this one did not work for me. I found all the characters unlikable and the story beyond unbelievable.

A quiet street in Oregon where a young man was the victim of a hit and run. His mother suspects one of the neighbors. But it seems everyone is hiding something. And who is the new British wife of one of the neighbors who claims she has agoraphobia? Good page turner where all the secrets and lies are connected and friendships are tested. Chapters are a good length with cliff hangers at the end that keep you reading on (late into the night). Told from several neighbors' POVs.

Brighton Hills, a gated haven for the affluent, promises refuge from the chaos beyond its walls. A seemingly harmonious community where residents watch out for each other, yet concealing a web of secrets within.

A year ago, Paige and Grant suffered the devastating loss of their son to a hit-and-run within these supposedly secure confines. Cora, grappling with suspicions of her husband Finn's infidelity, is dismissed as paranoid. Meanwhile, Lucas's wife, Georgia, becomes increasingly reclusive, casting doubt on the community's serenity.

Paige, consumed by grief, goes to extreme lengths to uncover her son's killer, unsettling both the police and the neighborhood. Cora, a force in charitable events while managing household responsibilities, faces personal turmoil. Georgia, once withdrawn, becomes part of an unexpected convergence among these women.

What initially appears as chaotic and humorous takes a darker turn, revealing unsettling truths about the men and women in this seemingly idyllic enclave. As distressing events unfold, the narrative plunges readers into the heart of the turmoil. Shock after shock leaves the characters grappling with the impossible task of setting things right, knowing that some wounds can never truly heal. Despite the challenges, someone must emerge victorious, and the story unfolds with hidden revelations that keep readers on the edge until the very end.

On A Quiet Street:

“She remembers hearing the moon described as a dead star that is caught in the earth’s gravitational pull and suspended there forever. This is exactly how she feels—like a dead star being held up by forces beyond her control. She wishes she could stay like this forever.”

Thank you @harperau for my gifted copy.

First thing first. Reese Witherspoon, I have a new role for you and her name is Cora. I don’t care that Paige had hair like Sandra Bullock, her real actress is Kerry Washington. I know they did Little Fires Everywhere together, but they can make it come back and make this happen. Then, let’s also throw in Sophie Turner as Georgia and tada! Perfect full cast.

The alternate title of this book should be “men suck, I told you. Can we just throw them out of a moving car?” Now that I got that off my chest, this book was great. There are a lot of triggering elements in this book so if you have any trigger warnings, please review them before reading this. I honestly had no idea where this book was going to go. I was entertained, I was shocked, and I kinda got a HEA, so yay!

I honestly kinda felt a weird connection to this book because they’re all mothers. They’re all just suburban moms just trying to do their best for their kids and they can’t it. Kinda made me want to give myself grace, and also kind of reminded me how much of a bad ass I am for running the household. Imogen Church. OMG. Talk about perfection narration. Hit every accent, every quip, I mean, amazing! I would suggest audio 100000%.

If you love domestic thrillers, you need to read this one. If you love salacious neighborhoods, you need to read this one. If you love characters that not only peep through their window, but they will open the full effing door to see what’s going on because they have no shame in snooping, you have got to check this one out. This was a NetGalley/Harper Audio backlist and a perfect accompaniment to my mini road-trip this weekend.

Reading this book was like a heart pounding, exhilarating boxing match with the story. You start out thinking it's just another domestic thriller with secrets and, invariably, some kind of cheating. And then, BAM, a twist adds another dimension, and you readjust that this book has more to offer. Then, BAM, another twist that knocks you off of your feet, jaw on the floor. Every time I was sure I had it all figured out, another twist and turn came out of nowhere. And, they added depth and tension and a great deal of female camaraderie that I just couldn't get over. This book had me in its grips and I couldn't read it fast enough! LOVED IT!

Brighton Hills is an exclusive community with luxurious houses that are full of secrets!
Cora thinks her husband, Finn, is cheating—she just needs to catch him in the act. Paige is obsessed with making sure someone pays for her child’s death and Georgia, the young newlywed who won’t really engage with her neighbors has more to hide than anyone on the block. Twists, turns and a storyline that will keep you guessing- this one is fantastic! 5 stars!

4.5/5 rounded up

On a Quiet Street is another doozy from Seraphina Nova Glass, and it isn't taking much to get this author to a spot in my top 10! At first, I was thinking Georgia's story was a trope that is overdone, but silly me! I should have known better because that is really not the way this author rolls at all. If there is any book I would call sizzling with explosive twists, it is definitely this one, and I seriously loved how the entire storyline played out right down to the very end. I loved the multiple viewpoints, and Cora along with another woman in this book are drama times about a million guys, so I got ALL of the neighborhood drama that I had wanted in The Perfect Neighborhood.

The audiobook blew me away as well, and if you love audio then you are definitely going to have to listen to this one. I am a huge fan of Imogen Church, and she did not disappoint. She even managed to nail all of the different POVs while sounding like a different person each time! I was thrilled with my listening experience, and I would recommend this route for sure. The Oregon setting was really nice as well and you already know things are not perfect in Brighton Hills, especially with the way the author chose to start out the book. An excellent, well-thought-out, and complex plot, and I can't wait to read ALL THE THINGS from Nova Glass!

Not such a quiet street! Liked the premise but was just too slow for me and didn’t hook me in. The writing style just isn’t for me. Good characters and story just not for me

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of twists and turns and unexpected moments. The cast of characters was unique and interesting. I love a female driven story that is bad ass and this hits the mark. Close to five stars for me.

I just finished reading "On a Quiet Street" by Seraphina Glass. Thank you to NetGalley and Graydon House for providing me with an advanced copy in return for an honest review.
This book centers around three women, each in a dysfunctional relationship who are trying to inadvertantly help each other out. Each has their own mystery to solve and each woman relies on each other to bring solutions to their problems. All three women, Cora, Paige, and Georgia are all interesting women with great personalities who are all looking for a better life. Their lives intertwine because they all live in this posh neighborhood and know each other.
I really liked this book. I found it very easy to read and follow along with. The writer kept the story going, revealing just enough to keep the reader interested in the outcome. The women were strong, yet vulnerable and I loved how they had each other's backs. Doing the right thing for the right reasons, and using eny tactic necessary to get the results they wanted which at the end of the day was truth and love.
I love domestic thrillers. This book had everythink I could want: dynamic characters, rootworthy heroines and a very satisfying ending.
Bravo to Ms. Glass. I will definately be reading books from this author in the future.
Happy Reading.

On a Quiet Street is a psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Paige, Cora, and Georgia all live behind the protected gates of Brighton Hills, a beautiful, gated community on the Oregon coast. Cora is in a constant battle with her teenage daughter and is also suspicious that her husband is cheating on her. Paige recently lost her teenage son to an accident, but was it really an accident? Georgia is new to the neighborhood and keeps to herself, spending most of her time with her child. The story is told from alternating points of view.

Seraphina Nova Glass did a great job writing the characters and events in the story. It made me feel like I was really there in the Brighton Hills community. The story was complex and there were a lot of details. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. I finished the whole book in one day, which doesn't happen often for me. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves psychological thrillers!
