This was the neighborhood thriller I was waiting for. Just, wow! This was one that surprised me multiple times as I read. I really enjoyed the three main characters. While they were all so different, their shared purpose was really well done and showed how strong women are. There was also some serious character growth in this story. Without spoiling anything I will say this has a banger of an ending and to go in as blind as you can. This would make a fabulous adaptation so I need some streaming service to get on it.

I’ve been struggling with domestic thrillers recently. There’s normally lots of secrets, but nothing that goes beneath the surface. I’m always left with wanting more and I haven’t been picking up the genre as much. I’m so glad I took a chance on On A Quiet Street. It was exactly what I have been looking for in a domestic drama!

The 3 lead characters are so different, but work well together. Paige’s son was killed and she hasn’t been the same since. Her husband has moved out and she is obsessed with finding out who killed her son. She believes it was one of her neighbours and spends all of her time watching them. Cora is the typical stay at home wife and mother upon first glance. But there’s so much more to her, especially when she is determined once and for all if her husband is cheating. And then there is Georgia. A new mother to a baby girl who seemingly wants nothing to do with her neighbours.

I liked all 3 women and enjoyed how they weren’t how they first appeared. I felt for each of them as they navigated through their grief and challenges. I was hooked on what was going to happen with them. The book also comes with its twists and turns and I was surprised by so much that happened! Loved it!

4 calculators out of a potential 5. If you are like me and have been ignoring the domestic genre for a bit, check out On a Quiet Street to get you out of your slump!

Thank you to Netgallery and Harlequin Trade Publishing, Graydon House for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Shouting a big congratulations to Seraphina Nova Glass today on her publication, On a Quiet Street!

This is one of the times I fell in love with the mysterious cover, did not read the synopsis and just wanted to go in completely blind so I could be shocked with the unexpected. Let me tell you, this book packs a punch and delivers!

The multiple point of views gave so much perspective to this story . Usually when I read a book with multiple perspectives I favor one narrator more than the next. However, this was not the case. I enjoyed each page, each chapter, each narrator. I was completely in awe and hung on every word I read.

On a Quiet Street, has been one of the best domestic thrillers I have read in a really long time.

Many well wishes to Glass today and in the future, I have become a fan and can not wait to see what she releases next!

This one surprised me in a good way. Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. We have three suburban wives all with secrets dealing with different issues and all very different personalities. I saw some of the twists coming and a few really surprised me. I liked the writing style, it enhanced the read. Very domestic driven focusing on a few mysteries but there becomes a little thrill part way through. I really enjoyed this one.

This story had me in its pocket almost from the get-go. Every spare minute I was sneaking in just one more page . . . or two . . . or a chapter.

This seemingly quiet little neighborhood explodes into action as secrets begin to slip from one household to the next. Even beautiful gated communities such as Brighton Hills in Oregon will have you turning pages and wanting to know more.

Paige and Grant lost their son to what appears to have been a hit and run in their neighborhood. Paige will go to any length to discover who killed her son. Grant has moved out since her obsession has nearly ruined their marriage. And of course, he is grieving in his own way.

Neighbors Cora and Finn have their own concerns. They do their best to act normal around their teenage daughter Mia, but Cora has been sure throughout their marriage that Finn is cheating on her and she’s determined to prove it.

Then we have Georgia and Lucas. He is a well-known judge and she is very happy by herself. But everything isn’t always what it seems at first glance. It’s obvious that she loves her baby daughter Avery very much, but other things aren’t quite as clear.

As I mentioned, this tangled web had me caught up in it in no time. The story was fast-paced and the characters were unique and interesting. Some twists and turns that felt a bit obvious and others came as a total surprise.

My Concerns
Though it was all tied up neatly at the end, I would have been happier with a different ending. (I wish I could say more, but I don’t want to give away anything.)

Final Thoughts
If you love domestic thrillers full of secrets, I highly recommend On A Quiet Street by Seraphina Nova Glass. This is an author who is now on my radar, and if you haven’t read her before, I’m guessing you will be watching for her new releases too.

My thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, for allowing me to review this fast-paced thriller.

Living in the suburbs you are hoping for peace, quiet and privacy. Brighton Hills is not that. It’s brimming with drama, guilt, secrets and so so many lies,No one is who they portray. This neighborhood drama will have you never quite believing anyone after you see thru the first lie. Told from, the perspectives of Cora, Georgia and Paige we follow along in their lives to see if they bond together to help each other thru the deceit or if the whole neighborhood implodes.

If you are looking for a page turning beach read I highly recommend this one.

If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood, the lovely and exclusive Brighton Hills in Oregon would seem like the perfect place. Then again, looks can be deceiving, as no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. At least not until the police or ambulance arrives, shattering the once serene picture with flashing lights.
Let's take a closer look at three of these houses and the people who live inside. Paige and Grant have suffered an unimaginable loss and are currently living separate lives. Cora and Finn along with their daughter Mia seem like a happy family. But Cora has suspicions about Finn, and the truth will change the dynamics of this family forever. The most recent arrivals, Georgia and Lucas, and their baby also appear picture-perfect. For some odd reason though, Georgia rarely leaves the house and there is a lot more going on than she is willing to share with her neighbors.
So, this is one cray cray intertwined tale, and even as I guessed some of the connections, holy twisted neighbors, I didn't even come close to figuring how everything would come together. I spy spoilers ahead, so I am not going to say much, but if you are craving a story that will have you furiously flipping pages and if you are like me, screaming at your Kindle,” What”, this is that book.
Seriously, I was hooked by the end of the first chapter and that was only the beginning of the secrets, lies, and deceptions to come. The only thing I regret is that the weather didn't cooperate and I couldn't read this on the beach. It is the perfect way to lose yourself for an extremely pleasurable afternoon. I enjoyed this author's debut, Someone's Listening, but this took the crazy to a whole other level! 4.5 stars.

Paige, Cora, and Georgia all live in a cushy exclusive neighborhood. Anyone looking at the might get the impression that they had perfect lives. But one lost a child, one has a cheating husband, and the third, well I'll let you read and find out about that. As each woman works to help herself, she finds she is also helping her fellow wives and in numbers comes strength. With some surprises along the way and a good twist at the end, this was a very enjoyable escape filled with strong female characters!

On a Quiet Street by Seraphina Nova Glass is a suspenseful story, one that doesn’t stop for a minute. The three women’s point of views are fascinating and while I didn’t love all of Paige’s actions, I grew to really respect her. The character development was and intensity is what brought this book to a solid 5 stars for me.

It isn’t often that a thriller keeps me guessing until the very end, but this one really threw some twists that had me reeling. We follow a couple of the women living in this gated community, each with their own secrets but somehow drawn together.

The characters were really well written, some I loved and some were very easy to like. Th plot moves right along and the pacing/writing was excellent. A true story of revenge and justice, and one I look forward to revisiting in the future.

On a Quiet Street is set in a luxurious housing community on the West coast. Everything seems idyllic but of course it is not.

There are 3 main characters. Cora thinks her husband Finn is cheating on her. Paige is grieving for the loss of her son who died in a hit and run the prior years. She agrees to help Cora find the truth about Finn. Then there is a new neighbor George. She is a bit off.

The book centers around these three folks and it leads to a good read.

If this is the kind of book you like - I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. We get to follow three women who are all going through some kind of crisis. Paige lost her son to a hit and run, Cora has a cheating husband and Georgia is just a strange neighbor with secrets you will never believe. Living in Brighton Hill which is a gated exclusive community on the coast of Oregon you don't expect anything to go wrong.

I enjoyed the writing in this book so much and enjoyed following the characters while they try to figure out what is happening in the community. This book had me guessing from the first page about what was about to happen or who did what. It just felt like you were a fly on the wall the whole time which I loved. Very good domestic thriller in my eyes. Highly recommend and thanks for the advance copy!!

The story of a quiet, suburban neighbor hood in Oregon explodes off the page with all of the secrets of the residents. Paige is grieving the death of her son and is almost a psychopath in her quest to find out the truth about what happened to Caleb. The fact that her husband Grant would rather separate from her than stay with her to console each other together says everything about their relationship. Cora is married to philandering Finn, a man with so many secrets that he can’t afford for them to be exposed. And Georgia, the lady married to the powerful and well-known local judge, is an enigma. She comes out on her porch with her infant every day but she never goes anywhere or tries to form friendships with the neighbors. Her secret is devastating to her and the neighbors. The story weaves in and out and is told by all three main characters, relating their secrets and their desires to have their own sweet taste of revenge. When the paths of these ladies cross, then this quiet suburb isn’t quiet any longer! The story was fast-paced and riveting with characters that were relatable and sympathetic. There are some triggers in the book (abuse and violence) so just be warned about that. The men are all seen as controlling, deceptive and manipulative. In general, the husbands are stereotypes of who not to marry. (There is one good one, but I will leave out the identity so that other readers will be surprised.) The plot is well-developed with plenty of twists and action. Fans of domestic thrillers will enjoy this book and want more of the story of these three unbeatable women.

Everything appears normal and serene on this street. Three couples, friendly, but oh what secrets they all harbor. I got sucked in from the very first chapter with Paige. Initially I thought she had gone off the deep end. And Cora? A pushover. Georgia wouldn’t leave her house, now why?
Glass intertwines their stories as tight as a rope so as it slowly unfurls, readers can grasp the full gauntlet of deception, lies, betrayal, abuse, death, and drugs.
The intricacies of the story are very clever. I enjoyed reading this book. I’m just glad none of of the characters are my neighbors.

4.5/5

I have another binge listen audio recommendation for you! This one pulled me in from the start, I was instantly drawn into the three women who all live Brighton Hills where you just know not everything is as it seems. Cora thinks her husband is cheating so she enlists Paige, who tragically lost her son last year and then there’s a new neighbor Georgia who just seems off. That’s really all you need to know as far as the plot is concerned but if you like twisty and tense domestic thrillers this was really compelling. You hear from all three women and the narrator, Imogen Church was fantastic and incredibly engaging. I think this would be a great addition to your summer TBR as it’s super juicy and also riveting.

I've had this one just chilling on my kindle since January and I'm a little mad at myself for waiting so long to read it.

This one starts off with a heartbreaking, yet intriguing, prologue when someone is killed.

I love when my books are told in multiple POV's and this one follows Paige, Cora and Georgia who all live in the same ritzy neighborhood in Oregon.

Paige is having a tough time after her son, Caleb, is killed. It's been ruled an accident, but she's convinced it was murder and she's suspecting everyone in their gated community. She's quite the sneaky one.

Cora suspects her husband of 22 years, Finn, of cheating. Paige offers to help her see if it's true. Cora is, also, somewhat obsessed with trying to hang out with Georgia.

Georgia met Lucas while he was visiting his parents abroad. They quickly fell in love, married and she moved to the states with him. She suffered a traumatic experience and only goes as far as her front porch with her baby, Avery, which is becoming suspicious to her neighbors.

These 3 ladies eventually create a bond and work together to bring justice for a couple different scenarios. There were some exciting twists I didn't see coming.

Most of the characters were likable, except the ones we obviously weren't supposed to like. My favorite was Grant.

This was a well executed gripping domestic suspense thriller. I haven't read this author before, but I would be thrilled to read her work again.

It's a really nice neighborhood with big airy houses that belong in the movies. So much privilege. So many secrets and so much heartache. Cora, Paige, and Georgia tell their stories in this domestic drama about three women and their families. Paige's son was killed in a hit and run, her marriage is in tatters, and she's spinning. Cora knows her husband Finn cheats on her, a lot, and she wants to prove it so that she can involve a clause in their pre-nu. Why on earth would Paige agree to be the other woman? And what's the deal with Georgia and Lucas? Georgia doesn't leave the front porch and there is something very creepy going on. This winds the three women together in a way that even veteran readers of this type of neighborhood thriller might find surprising. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC. Glass is a good storyteller who knows when to throw in a twist.
