Coffee With the Divine is the perfect companion book for anyone anting to study the daily lessons from the classic 'A Course in Miracles'. The author helps to bring understanding to the original text which can be quite confusing and challenging. She helps to inspire and stir the thought processes that will give you a real understanding of the classic book. It is best to do a lesson a day and take your time. An excellent easy read book that everyone should read.
I have to admit defeat. I did not finish this title. Perhaps I’ll circle back to it at some point, but I highly doubt it. I found a few seeds of insight/wisdom as I started reading….then things took a turn for “out there”. I was instructed to look at every thought/object/person and believe it/they mean nothing. Then look at everything/everyone and know that I don’t understand it. And “what I see is an act of vengeance”. This is to be applied to every single thought, person, and object. I’m not stretching it… it literally told me that my kids mean nothing. I don’t understand my shoe. As for the vengeance of what I see….perhaps my kids and shoe are lashing out due to being meaningless and misunderstood. (Shaking my befuddled head…)
