I received this ARC for an honest review:

Here in book number four Tom Rollins is recovering or trying to. That is until he returns to the cabin he has been staying at before a storm is arriving only to find that there are some men after one man for whatever reason. He, of course, saves the man, and a few days later after the storm is gone more men have shown up still after the same guy. Tom being himself does everything he knows how to try and save the man only to have the man leave Tom there at the cabin during the shot out. Tom takes extreme measures and blows the cabin up. This is really just the beginning of the story.
Tom finds himself running from the Russian mob and then towards them to put an end to things. The man is waiting to help in this story trunks on him multiple times which is different than the other stories, but he is still waiting to help his wife and son and also the woman Tom had been seeing in Alaska. This story has a lot of action and many moving parts which were good. Even though I read this book in one night I still felt a little off from the other books that I have read in the series, this is just me. Overall a good book still.

Like the rest of the series, this story is well written and entertaining, easy to read and has a very good pace. However, the main character is still making some stupid mistakes, and the smartest character is a surprising one. The fight scenes are totally unrealistic, and are in the "cheapnis" category.

Snow burn by Paul Heatley.
book 4 of the Tom Rollins action thriller series.
He wasn’t looking for trouble. But it was looking for him.

Former black ops specialist Tom Rollins has spent the last six months living in the wilds of Alaska. He’s enjoying the isolation, but his peaceful life comes to an end when he rescues a stranger, Roger Noakes, from two hitmen.

Turns out Roger is a crooked accountant who works for the Russian mafia. Some of their money has gone missing and Roger is the number one suspect.

And now that Tom has rescued Roger, mafia boss Yuri lets it be known that he is on their hit list too. Tom isn’t worried about himself, but he is afraid the mob might try to get to him through people he cares about.

And so he is dragged into a fight he never wanted against a formidable organization which is plotting to blow up the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, causing an ecological disaster in the wilderness he has come to love.

With the threat of large-scale devastation looming, and Yuri’s half-mad henchman Fedorov in hot pursuit, keeping his friends safe and alive will require every one of Tom’s lethal skills.

This was a really enjoyable read. Lots of action. I liked Tom and Emma and Steven. I didn't like Fedorov or Yuri. I didn't trust Alina or Roger at all. I didn't like Reddy or Teagan either. I did sort of like the ending. 4*.

Snow Burn - #4 in the Tom Rollins Thriller Series – I really enjoyed this well written, fast paced thriller featuring retired black ops specialist Tom Rollins. After saving an accountant from hitmen Tom becomes involved with saving not only the accountant, his family and his landlord from the Russian mafia who have established a hold on a small Alaskan town. If you enjoy non-stop action, this book is for you. I received an ARC from NetGalley, and the opinions expressed our my own.
