Chloe Jackson has moved from Chicago to Emerald Grove, Florida as she inherited a house, boat, and part ownership of a bar – the Sea Glass Saloon. Oh and she also got to leave her ex-fiancé Perry. But today someone is leaving her gifts – a large banner flown over her area celebrating her relationship, a vase of flowers, and then a magnum of her favorite wine. Who could this be? On her way home, Chloe passes a lake and sees a body. Unfortunately, it’s Perry holding her picture. When Rip, Chloe’s boyfriend, is the prime suspect in the murder, Chloe has to find the murderer.

This is an interesting mystery with lots of red herrings. I enjoyed this mystery and the wonderful characters.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I adored the characters in this cosy mystery. I would recommend reading the first two books in this series, although this book is brilliantly written. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page trying to figure out who did it and why. This book is set in Florida and mentions Chicago. If you love fun entertaining characters you will love this book. This book will be in stores on March 29, for $8.99 (USD).

This is the third installment in the series, Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery. We’re back on the Emerald Cove. I really enjoy this area of Florida. Destin is quite nice.

As the description states, Chloe’s ex-fiancé is found dead in a local coastal lake. Unfortunately, it’s Chloe that finds him. So, of course, questions arise – what is he doing here, why was he killed, and many more. His family blames Chloe, the cops are looking at Rip, and the twists abound. Is Rip being set up to take the fall or is someone else?

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. We learn more about Chloe, Rip, and Ms. Vivi Sidell (co-owner of the bar).
Ms. Harris has a way with words and can write characters so you dislike them or root for them.

I look forward to the next issue. I was given an advance copy and these are my own opinions.

I have been really enjoying this series and I liked this one too. The series has a fantastic cast of characters and I really enjoy getting to know them all. The setting, a beach town in Florida, is great and I love how Chloe (the main character) is rebuilding her life. Something about this book though just wasn't quite as good as the first two. I think it was the ridiculousness of the mystery. It just felt overdone, a little less believable? I still enjoyed the book and I still loved all of the other aspects so I only took off one star.

Three Shots to the Wind is the third book in the Sherry Harris Sea Glass Saloon Mystery series featuring Chloe Jackson. I love this series and this is the best book yet! Chloe finds out that her Ex has followed her to Florida and we get to learn more about him. As always the mystery is well ploted and difficult to solve, the characters are engaging, and Emerald Beach is the perfect setting. This book can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading in order and getting well aquainted with the characters---they are great.
Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Books and Sherry Harris for an advanced reader copy to read and offer an unbiased review. I appreciate it so much!

This is an excellent series and I think this is the best instalment so far: gripping, fast paced, and twisty.
I was glad to catch up with Chloe and the cast of characters, travel to the lovely setting, and try to guess the culprit and the motive.
Ms Harris is an excellent storyteller and I read this book in one setting.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

This series keeps getting better and better! I absolutely love it and it’s becoming one of my favorite cozy mystery series! With each new installment it’s an opportunity to visit the beautiful Florida gulf coast and catch up with old friends! The characters are very well developed and the relationships among them are wonderful. Their friendships, support of one another and sense of community really shine through. Getting a glimpse into Chloe’s family with the visit from her brothers was fun. The mystery was well written and kept the pages turning. Even though these books stand alone, I highly recommend starting at the beginning to get to know the characters, their relationships and the community of Emerald Cove.

I continue to enjoy this series, set in the Florida Panhandle, near where I live. We see recurring characters that are realistic and likable, with a sense of community and closeness.
Chloe Jackson inherited part ownership in the Sea Glass Saloon, in Emerald Cove, when her best friend was killed abroad while serving in the military. She and Boone's grandmother Vivi Slidell own the bar and are beginning to get used to each other. Chloe moved from her librarian job in Chicago to the small town and is loving her new location. She evens has a new love interest on the down low. So, when a banner flies over the area with the words, I love you, Chloe Jackson, she knew it was not Rip. Then flowers and wine arrive, her favorites. And a dinner invitation. Later as she is running on the beach near her home, she sees the police near a dune lake where the body of her ex-fiancé is floating in the water. What is Perry doing in Emerald Cove? She has not seen him in the eighteen months since she broke their engagement. She soon finds that there are different people in town connected to him, even some locals. And he was not the person she knew and had secrets. Lots of suspects to investigate. And her big brothers show up to take care of her. Great setting, characters, and a mystery to solve make this another fun read.

Chloe is finally settling in to life at emerald cove, until her life is once again turned upside down when she discovers a body. Unlike the last time, the body she discovers is that of her ex fiancée Perry. As she puzzles out what Perry was doing in Florida and how he ended up dead, she uncovers some major secrets that may threaten her own life.

I liked this book! Every time I read the next book in this series you see more and more about Chloe and her life. This was about her life in Chicago and with Perry, but it also affects her current relationships with those around her. I liked this book but I don’t know that I’d read it a second time.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I loved catching up with Chloe and the gang and seeing how life in January is for the Emerald cove residents--and visitors. Several interesting visitors came along during the course of the book, two of which helped add some good comic relief to some of the scenes. I like Chloe and Rip as a couple, they're so stinking cute! And I really love that Vivi's coming around in only the way Vivi can as far as being nicer to Chloe and at one point fiercely defending her. She's a good mama bear to have on your side, that's for sure! I have a feeling she and Chloe might actually get to be fairly good friends in time. I know she probably intimidates the life out of Chloe as only Vivi can do. (She makes me think of Angela on Falcon Crest lol).

All Chloe wanted to do was clear poor Rip of any blame in her ex-fiancé's death. There was a huge assortment of suspects to pick from, but I sure didn't see the whodunit coming! The showdown was exciting and a little tense but just right. I enjoyed the very ending and hope that there'll be many more adventures for Chloe and Rip in future books.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Cozies via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Three Shots to the Wind is the third book in the Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery series written by Sherry Harris. The reader soon meets the star of the show, children's librarian Chloe Jackson who has waved goodbye to Chicago winters and is living in warmer climes. She promised her late friend Boone that she would help out in Boone's grandma's bar, the Sea Glass Saloon, in Emerald Cove, Florida. Chloe has settled into her new life working with bar owner Vivi Slidell and is mixing drinks when she notices a plane towing a banner declaring "I Love You Chloe Jackson" flying above. This is followed by the delivery of a bouquet of lilacs and some sparkling wine - her favourites. Bu who is Chloe's mystery admirer? Current beau, Rip Barnett, perhaps, or her ex from Chicago? Then a body is found floating in the lake next to her home.

I thought this was an excellent, really solid continuation to the series. I enjoyed reading the author's wonderful descriptions of the gorgeous beach setting. Emerald Cove sounds fabulous with its strong, vibrant touristy vibe. Sherry Harris has created a delightful set of characters, apart from Chloe herself who I found to be intelligent, funny, caring and smart. I also like Vivi for her spirit and vivacity, and bartender, Joaquin. Chloe's brothers show up in this novel and provide more humour. The writing is fast-paced, and the mystery itself is very well executed, with abundant red herrings and twists to sustain my interest. All in all, a brilliant, witty instalment and I will certainly be returning to Emerald Cove to see what Chloe is getting herself into next. I highly recommend Three Shots to the Wind to those who appreciate well-written cozy mysteries.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Kensington Books via NetGalley and this review is my unbiased opinion.

This is the third book featuring Chloe Jackson, a former librarian from Chicago now living in Emerald Cove, Florida. Chloe is settling into her new life when her ex-fiancée turns up dead just outside her home. Matters are made worse when the police focus their investigation on her boyfriend, Rip. Chloe is a likeable amateur sleuth and the supporting characters are all wonderful. Look for this Mar 29/22. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Three Shots to the Wind, the third volume of Chloe Jackson Sea Glass Saloon Mystery. With this series, Sherry Harris has once again created a main character who feels so lifelike that she could be a real friend. I have always enjoyed Chloe's interaction with Joaquín and Michael and have grown to appreciate her relationship with Vivi. In this novel, my newest favorite book in the series, I came to know and understand Chloe even better as we get to meet Chloe's brothers and watch the brotherly nonsense and the love that they share. On a darker side, we also learn more about her when someone from her past is murdered, and as Chloe searches for the killer (you knew she would) we sympathize with her as she discovers that he was a different person than the man she thought she knew.

My thanks to NetGalley, Kensington Publishing, and Sherry Harris for giving me a chance to read and review an ARC of Three Shots to the Wind.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I loved getting to learn more about Chloe’s past before she came to Emerald Cove and meeting her family. The mystery was interesting but I did feel it dragged in the middle but the ending had my anxiety sky high and made up for the slow parts. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Great story. So many times the victim is not well liked and in this story he was, which made it very sad and relatable. Chloe and Vivian crack me up, and I love how Chloe got back at her for meddling in her love life. That was so funny! Great story, so much fun to read!

Three Shots to the Wind by Sherry Harris is the third book in the cozy Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery series. As with most cozy mysteries each book in this series will feature it’s own mystery that is fully solved within the book leaving each to be able to be enjoyed as a standalone if choosing to do so. There is character development that carries over from book to book however for those that enjoy the entire series from the beginning.

Chloe Jackson is a children’s librarian from Chicago who made a promise to her best friend when he enlisted in the military. If anything were to happen to him Chloe promised to head to Emerald Cove in the Florida Panhandle to see to it that his grandmother would be OK after his passing. What Chloe didn’t expect was the feisty Vivi Slidell who runs the Sea Glass Saloon. Being far from the elderly grandma Chloe thought she’d find she wasn’t sure of staying on but a promise is a promise.

Now Chloe is settling into her life in Emerald Cove and working with Vivi while being part owner in the Sea Glass Saloon when someone starts sending her gifts and a banner attach to a plane passes by declaring love for Chloe. Chloe has no clue who the secret admirer is but is sure it’s not the man she’s dating. The mystery of the secret admirer is solved when Chloe’s ex-fiance is found murdered and it appears he had been trying to win her back so the question Chloe now wants to know is why someone then wanted him dead.

I have been following the Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery series from the beginning and have found I quite enjoy my time with the series. This one is not the over the top quirky that I’m usually drawn to but there are still some laughs and I do like the characters. It also helps that this series is set in a little beach town which I always enjoy too and of course there’s the fun mystery to solve so I will definitely keep returning to the series.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Three Shots to the Wind by Sherry Harris the 3rd instalment in the "Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery" series. What can I say other than I loved it even more than the first two books! I read it in one day, couldn’t put it down.

Former Chicago librarian Chloe Jackson loving her new life as a bartender in Florida…until a surprise visit from her Windy City ex-fiancé ends with him blown away in the Panhandle!

I found myself engrossed in the story and I love the setting of Emerald Cove, Florida panhandle. The way the author described it really makes me want to live there or at least visit. I could picture myself sitting in Chloe’s screened in porch with a sweet tea and a good book or taking walks along the beach.

The protagonist Chloe is a very likeable and we are starting to see new layers to the main side characters especially Vivi.

The mystery had just enough suspects, red herrings, and twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. I found it to be a fun fast read. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for Chloe and Vivi.

I highly recommend this series to all my cozy loving friends.

I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Kensington Books and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my OWN

Someone loves Chloe Jackson or at least that's what the banner behind the airplane says. After she receives several other I Love You gifts, Chloe is starting to feel uneasy as to who the sender is. When she stumbles upon the dead body of her ex-fiance, she begins to piece together the sentiments, but worries her current not quite boyfriend Rip Barnett will be a suspect. Love the Sea Glass Saloon and the added hilarity of Chloe's two brothers who come to protect her. This is such a fun series and makes me wish the sea breezes would come my way. I wish the drink recipes were including especially the peach one from the current book

Chloe's loving life running the Sea Glass Saloon with Vivi, mother of her unfortunately deceased BFF Boone. She likes the town, the saloon, has a new love interest in Rip and so on. But someone seems to be sort of stalking her with affirmations of love. Then her ex, Perry is found dead and someone is trying to frame Chloe and Rip for the murder. She hadn't seen Perry in ages and she didn't know critical things about him, it turns out. Chloe knows she didn't do it, nor did Rip. Things get scary enough that her brothers (love the brothers) come from Chicago to protect her. Sort of. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC, No spoilers from me for this fun cozy that will be fine as a standalone.
