I love beach reads and this one is a fast, interesting read. This book had me turning the pages so fast to see what would happen. I enjoyed the first book and this was a great follow up. Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

This was an enjoyable and entertaining follow up to The Three Mrs. Greys. I loved catching up with the old characters and seeing what they were going to do next. This one also ended on a cliffhanger so I'm really excited for book 3. 4 stars.

I would like Publisher/NetGalley for ARC copy.

This series is a must read, my lord when first started reading book 2 oh the Author is going give a little backstory on Cyrus Grey ok. At first, I was like more of Vanessa and Noelle and Diamond but as I read more understood where the Author was going with the story. All I'm going to say is get your popcorn ready this one did not disappoint at all and that ending with Bial can't wait till book 3.

Truth, Lies, and Mr Grey had all this and more in this book. This story had so much drama, lies, deception and Mr Grey and I was there for it all.

I enjoyed this series and I was happy with the way it ended. The author did a great job.

I received this ARC from Net galley in exchange for an honest review.

I only picked this book back up because of the cliffhanger in book 1. I just didn’t care too much for this part 2. Well I didn’t even care for part 1. Positive takeaways from this book is that it’s full of drama and a quick read.

Truth, Lies, and Mr. Grey by Shelly Ellis is the second book in her Three Mrs. Greys series. She continues to write books that live up to the hype.

Shelly Ellis follows the style of the first novel in the series; the story is told through the alternating viewpoints of the major characters. The characters continue to deliver the drama that keeps us involved in the story. Ellis smartly pens unexpected plot twists. The ending is a cliffhanger but a satisfying one. I enjoyed Truth, Lies, and Mr. Grey, but the pace was a little slower than the first novel, so I deducted a star and give it 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to all readers of multicultural fiction.

My thanks to Kensington Books, Dafina, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

This was such an enjoyable follow up to the Three Mrs. Greys. I was entertained and shocked throughout the book. It was faced paced and such an enjoyable and exciting read. The ending did make it seem like there might be another book in this particular series, and I really want to know what will happen next. I throughly loved the writing style of the author and can't wait to read the next book by them.

I received a copy of the book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions

Decent writing style. The storyline is very surface level. The pace is fast. It almost reads like a long short story. We could definitely do without another sequel.

I truly enjoyed the final book in the series. Truth, Lies, and Mr. Grey was savage! All the character arcs were completed and I think Shelly Ellis did an amazing job. I fell in love with Noelle and Tariq's storyline as well as Diamond's. This is a great ending to a really entertaining series.
And, the cover is dynamite!
Thank you #Netgalley for the chance to read and review.

Let’s talk about Cyrus.

Yeah… let’s talk. About. Cyrus.

Bruh. Sometimes I read a book and I’m sad for the person who is murdered. No such feeling here. This followup to Three Mrs. Greys by Shelly Ellis is everything I needed, you hear me?!

I’ve been reading Shelly since The Gibbons Goldigger days, the Chesterton Scandal Days, the scintillating soapy romance days. I’ve followed her through her journey into suspenseful, dramatic fiction with the Branch Avenue Boys series (not to mention her great literary fiction novels under other names) and now domestic thrillers with Three Mrs Greys and sometimes I’m like… HOW DO YOU EVEN DO IT ALL SO WELL?

I’ve always said that Shelly writes the kind of books where you need a bowl of popcorn and a beverage because it’s like watching the best movie. More than one person in Cyrus’ life had a reason to be happy he was about to be up outta here. So many problems would be resolved when Cyrus died.

But he’s not dead. And he’s real ticked off that somebody tried to off him.

Thus begins a diabolical chain of actions that begins with pretending to be sicker than he is to gain sympathy and keep the feds at bay and ends in a masterfully written scene that may have you applauding as you read.

Cyrus isn’t the only person in this book with a plan. Vanessa has a plan. So does Tariq. Diamond and Noelle could stand to move on from Cyrus.

Does anybody get what they want?

I think I ate this book up in just a few hours so it’s not long at all, while also being JAM. PACKED with action. Yall! The timeline absolutely snaps while the POV makes the rounds between Cyrus, his wives (Noel, Diamond & Vanessa) and the people intricately woven into this novel.

And at the end, ask yourself if everyone -wives and accomplices included- got what they deserved.

I cannot wait to see what Shelly has up her sleeve next!

Awesome follow up to The Three Mrs. Grey’s!! This was a page turner that left no stone unturned! There were many events that’ll surprise you or have you clutching your imaginary pearls! Kudos Shelly Ellis!

This was a amazing follow up to the first book! Cyrus Grey's time is up, only thing…who is going to be the one to take him down? His former partner or will it be one of his wives?

Shelly Ellis gives us messy with a whole lot of drama and suspense. I was here for every last sentence. Add this to your tbr list now.

Cyrus Grey and all his lies (and wives) are back in this follow-up novel.
If you haven't read book 1, The Three Mrs. Greys, Cyrus gets shot and his three wives find out about each other and the man they married. all while at the hospital. Talk about messy!
The wives had to decide to join forces or go at it alone. After all, can they really trust each other?
In this book, the wives are trying to piece their lives back together, but Cyrus has other plans.
I enjoyed this book! I was excited to read it since I enjoyed book 1 so much. Although we get a decent wrap up/ending, I'm not mad if there will be a part 3!

Favorite Quotes:

With his horn-rimmed glasses, drab gray suit, and his leather satchel thrown over his shoulder, he had to be the nerdiest-looking Black man she’d ever seen in her life. Well, that wasn’t true. He was maybe a distant second to Steve Urkel. He had absolutely no swag and stood out like a sore thumb among all the other men in the room, making her laugh to herself.

“Mama, why do you insist on talking about regular people like they’re peasants?” “Because they are, as far as I’m concerned.” The older woman shoved her sunglasses back up the bridge of her button nose. “I didn’t marry three wealthy husbands because I was enamored with being ‘regular,’ sweetheart. I put up with a lot of bullshit so I wouldn’t have to be that anymore.”

She wondered why she hadn’t spotted the resemblance before. Maybe it was because their temperaments were so different. Whereas Darius came off cool and calm as a soothing creek in the forest, Tariq was a sleeping volcano, with bubbling magma just beneath the surface, ready to explode when you least expected it. Unfortunately for Darius, a creek couldn’t quell a volcano, no matter how hard he tried.

Tariq was a hustler. A survivor. A chameleon. Darius swore Tariq had nine lives— unfortunately, he suspected all those lives would be lonely ones.

My Review:

The conclusion to the saga was quite a riveting tale and had a rather bittersweet ending for my favorite characters, although some finally got what was due them. The entire cast of disagreeable and questionable characters from book one carried over with a few new additions added into the mix. The intriguing storylines were active, taut with tension, and well-honed with sharp imagery, bad decisions, and impending peril. The writing was emotive and on point, while peppered with liberal use of the “n-word” which I found rather unsettling as I have been conditioned to find any use of the pejorative quite jarring and oddly far more egregious than profanity.

This is the long awaited conclusion to Cyrus, Diamond, Noelle and Vanessa’s drama filled lives. There is mystery, suspense, deceitfulness, secrets, lies, fast paced read, definitely a page turner and a plot that’s everyday life with just too much too much going on. Diamond, Noelle and Vanessa are the three Mrs. Greys all married to Cyrus. Cyrus is on trial for being a bigamist; while trying to figure who figure out could have possible tried to kill him. There are so many twist, turns in this book that every time I finished a chapter I had to read another and another. Diamond is on trial for shooting Cyrus but who knows who actually did the deed. Cyrus made a lot of people unhappy.

For answers to who actually tried to take Cyrus out; you will have to read this pager turner for yourself. You will most definitely not be disappointed.

I received an ARC via Netgalley and Dafina Kensington Books and I’m voluntarily leaving my review. Thank You.

Truth, Lies, and Mrs. Grey by Shelly Ellis is the stunning conclusion to The Three Mrs. Greys. This book starts right where the the first book ended. The story is written in multiple POVs. I felt for Vanessa in the last book, because I can’t even begin to imagine finding out my husband is a bigamist. In this book, however, she makes way too many questionable decisions. I did, however, really like Noelle and Diamond. The book concluded exactly as it should have. If you liked the first book, you will enjoy this one as well. Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Absolutely bananas, I was hooked from page one. The dialogue is crisp and so realistically written. Noelle and Diamond stood out as particularly dimensional, but the whole cast of characters had my crazy heart. Utterly fun, engrossing, crazy, and perfect.
