A much darker book than the others, this is an enemies to lovers and revenge story. There are A LOT of triggers so see the author’s website for more details - graphic and descriptive violence, human trafficking, dubious consent. The opening to this book is twisted and dark to put it mildly and I’m not sure how anyone can think up such a thing to write. I’ve been committed to the series and with this being the 6th I wanted to hang in there. I don’t recommend these as stand-alone books and I doubt many made it past the first chapter if this was their first.
After almost being killed a few books back, Finn is a different man from the one we met in the beginning. He’s ruthless and brutal. We met Destiny in Holly’s book and she’s a cunning bad ass and I’ve been looking forward to seeing more of her. In this it starts with her at 17 and I think 18 when Finn takes her. Although you can say she’s mature for her age it’s something that bugs me. On the other hand she’s a good match to go up against and be his partner. She’s observant and can easily read people. She’s one of my favorite women in the series but bump up her age. I also liked her Uncle Conrad and cousin Levi plus the whole family coming together.
It was difficult to get past the opening that left a sickening first impression and the ongoing weird skin flaying thing this family has with their enemies. It was still prominent when I finished tipping the balance and overshadowing what I liked. The family’s business interests have expanded into prostitution (described as willing women they take care of) but not sure why that bothers me when they were already drug and arms dealers. Semantics. I feel some closure knowing what happens to the family members who betrayed them early on so it might be a good time for me to take a break.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I read this as a stand alone because I didn't realize that it was a part of a series. I still enjoyed it. It was a little dark but I still liked it. I may go back and read the other books.
Well this series just keeps getting better and better, each book does answer some questions but always leaves you waiting for more when it sets up the next book. I also love how the books are so interlinked so even though the main characters in the story changes with each book the other family members from the past books are very much part of the story. I love how they have each other’s back until they don’t…when betrayal hits the family by those closest to them.
I loved this book from start to finish and may have read it in just one sitting- who needs sleep!
Initially Finn is in quite a bad way, he’s slowly recovering from the injuries he sustained in the last book but he is devastated that not only is his father dead but he’s also been buried and the family has already taken their revenge on those they held responsible for the attack. Finns family are worried about his state of mind and although he’s always had his family’s back especially his sister McKenna he’s in quite a dark place. Finn feels at a loss as he missed out on this vengeance and he thinks there’s more to who was involved. Finn’s cousin Jade is in prison, she decided to take the fall for her brother and asks Finn to visit her. She’s found out more details of the people involved in the in the attack leading Finn to the Carter syndicate. It was Carters niece and a local gang who were originally blamed but now it seems that Carter himself was pulling the strings. There’s also rumours of taking his sister out and Finn is determined to get to the bottom of this.
We meet Destiny Carter and her mother as they are trying to escape her father. This ultimately leads to her mothers murder at the hands of her father and Destiny being held captive, barely surviving on what her father is giving her. Carter has grand plans but is cash poor as everything was bankrolled by his wife and this passed on to Destiny. Finn has been acting as a money lender to Carter and when he crashes the Carter home to call in his debt he finds Destiny in a bad way. He takes her and slowly helps her get healthy. Along the way the two get closer and their relationship develops. I loved the addition of Destiny to the family, she may be young but she’s smart as a whip and takes no prisoners. Finn has definitely met his match. Though she helps root out the rats she places herself in terrible danger where her greatest fears her turned on her. Will Finn and his family get to her in time….and will the rats be found and dealt with in time, but just for Destiny but for McKenna too.
I can’t wait for Jades book, this series just keeps getting better. The storylines are gripping and relationships between the the characters are brilliant, I’d highly recommend this series.
God I did not enjoy how Finn talked to Destiny at all. I am shocked that I even finished this series, since not one book were over 4 stars
I received this ARC for an honest review:
Destiny Carter saw her mothers’ murder at the hands of her father. Not knowing that she was recording it the entire time the father still wants his daughter gone. Leaving her locked in her room and tied to her bed it is not until Finn Galaggher rescues her that she is safe. She though believes that she has gone from one captive to another. You get to see her strength throughout this story standing up to Finn the entire time.
Unlike some of the other books where the guys talk about being a monster or tough Finn is just by looking into his eyes people can see the darkest and at times he gives someone a look as he will kill, I do know that look, without saying anything. Here the author has captured a true man that will take care of business, yet will still listen to the boss. I really liked the story and the two characters of Destiny and Finn, you finally find out what happens to Patrick and who has been giving information which only adds to this story.
I can’t get enough of this series! I could read it over and over. Love it!
Finn has met his match with Destiny. She doesn’t back down and gives him a real run for his money. These two are so explosive together. Their story was full of action, drama, steam and jaw dropping moments. It wasn’t all sunshine and roses, and definitely not for the faint hearted. It is a dark read.
Vengeful Union is the sixth book in the Made Series, but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend if you enjoy Mafia romance.
This is the first book I have read by Brooke Summers. Vengeful Union female lead Destiny has a need to take matter into her own hands when her mother dies. Her life is changed for ever.
The story is typical romance suspense with the female lead a little more bloodthirsty than the traditionally female lead. Destiny come across likeable as well as Finn the alphas whos plans change after meeting and kidnappings his mark Destiny.
This move quickly the bad guys are bad and the good guys are broken.
Easy fast book in a series by Brooke Summers.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of Vengeful Union.
I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Vengeful Union is the sixth installment of the Made series. I've been in love with the characters and the mafia drama ever since the very first book. So, I'll admit that I was really excited to jump into this one. In this, you will meet Destiny and Finn.
Now we've met or know about these two from the previous books. So, it shouldn't be a huge surprise or spoiler that Destiny gets kidnapped, and drama unfolds after. As to why it all happened. Well, I was very excited to figure out that story.
Some would call Finn a hero because in Destiny's eyes - he is. It seems like family drama is a huge trend in this series. There's always at least one shitty parent. While that could be predictable, I just keep eating up each and every storyline that comes my way.
In the end, I'm very happy that I got the chance to jump into this. I'm also very excited to jump into Jade's story next. I need it so freaking badly.
ARC provided by NetGalley for an Honest Review
Right off the bat I felt a bit jilted with this book. The previous books' cliffhanger had me making all kinds of assumptions, most of which turned out way wrong. Not a bad thing at all but I was expecting one thing and got another. Seems there's a whole lot going more on in the mysterious Destiny's life who is kidnapped by the hero Finn, than readers realized. Her kidnapping is more of a rescue as her father has gone completely off the deep end and she's just collateral.
Bad boy Finn woke up from a coma with nothing but blood on his mind after losing his father. Months have passed but Finn will never forgive or forget waking up after his father's funeral and not getting to say goodbye. Anyone responsible will not only pay but they will suffer the worst kind of pain they could ever imagine. And Finn is no joke, he literally skins someones face, so don't get on his bad side.
I enjoyed this new addition to the series and how nothing played out how I had been expecting it to. The hero was built up as this horrible villain and in many ways he sort of is, but all that changes when he sees Destiny. Talk about a big brutish man going soft for his woman, you can literally witness it happen. Destiny was also a pretty cool heroine in her own right. After witnessing her father's true self she too wants blood and revenge. The vengeance in their hearts only brings them together and even though she holds him at arms length for much of the book, it's beyond understandable given she never knows who she can trust. The first time the characters have sex is something questionable to me. Honestly I don't exactly think it was consensual but it's also a situation up to interpretation as the heroine didn't really mind. This may be something to trip up other readers though so beware. Other than that Destiny takes her brunt of pain throughout the book but it's never from the hero.
The series continues to get better and I am dying even more for Jade's story. I didn't realize she would become an under boss herself and having witnessed what happened to her and all her badassery I am ready for her HEA. It's nice seeing a lot of the old characters come together in each book but all I care about is how much I want to see what's next. It's time for Jade to dole out some serious retribution. Most of the heroines from previous books have been bad in their own ways but none like McKenna and somehow I think Jade may give her a run for her money especially after years of suffering in prison.
Vengeful Union is book six in the Made series and is Finn and Destiny's book. From the start of the book the action is pumping and no mercy is given. This sets the whole time for the rest of the book. Finn takes no prisoners and shows no mercy. I really like Finn and Destiny together because Destiny can hold her own and doesn't rely on Finn. I will say this book does have graphic descriptions of bodily harm and is not for those who can't handle that. I'm really excited to see what this author has planned for Jade's book.
VENGEFUL UNION is the sixth instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult MADE dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is thirty-four year old Irish Mafia underboss Finn Gallagher, and eighteen year old Mafia princess Destiny Carter’s story line. VENGEFUL UNION can be read as as stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Finn and Destiny)following several paths, VENGEFUL UNION follows in the wake of the murder of Destiny Carter’s mother, and her subsequent captivity at the hands of her father. Three months would pass before Destiny is rescued aka bought by a man to whom her father owes millions but a man with whom Destiny will fall in love. Enter Irish Mafia underboss Finn Gallagher. Finn Gallagher is all about the payment of a debt but never expected to find a beaten and battered woman as his ultimate target but little does Finn know that Destiny sees her new captor as a flight to freedom , freedom from a man who saw our heroine as nothing more than a means to an end. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Finn and Destiny, and the fall-out as Destiny’s father demands retribution, and more than one betrayal is about to try and take down the powerful Gallagher-Bianchi Mafia family.
Destiny Carter has always known her father to be a monster but never expected the ultimate betrayal.Knowing her father’s darkest secrets, Destiny is about to hand over control, in an effort to clean house from the top down. Finn Gallagher has no problem taking out those who have betrayed the family but Finn’s methods are dark, and in this, anyone caught in the line of fire will suffer the consequences like never before. Determined to protect the woman he loves, Finn takes out his revenge those determined to do her harm.
The relationship between Finn and Destiny begins as prisoner and captor but Finn’s immediate reaction to Destiny is that of protector and guardian. Destiny is a strong willed, defiant young woman ready to face her battles head on but never expected to fall for the man she thought was going to end her life. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but not without a question of consent in the early chapters.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including most of the previous story line couples; Destiny’s father James Carter, her cousin Levi, uncle Conrad, and her mother; Carter’s right-hand man Drake, as well Cain and Patrick Gallagher, and cousin Jade.Jade’s story is next in EXPLOSIVE UNION.
VENGEFUL UNION is a story of betrayal and vengeance, family and deceit, secrets and lies, power, control, abuse and murder, forgiveness and love. The premise is dark, gritty and raw; the romance is provocative; the characters are powerful, defiant, determined and strong.
I will add that I had not read any of the previous instalments, and because of that, I felt like I was missing something. There is quite a bit of history and backstory, often alluded to throughout the story. I am going to have to go back in order to catch up !

This book... omg, I was so excited for Destiny and Finn’s story and God, it was everything I was expecting and more.
I liked the Enemies to lovers aspect, and that Destiny despite everything wasn't your typical damsel in distress/shrinking violet. She was awesome.
I really liked the paced and action scenes, the suspense. The twists and Suspense was fantastic too.
I love the chemistry between our MCs and that he wasn't your typical alpha hero. He still was ruthless and violent but still amazing.
A fantastic addition to the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have read each book in this series and have been dying for Finn's story and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. He is exactly what I wanted him to be intense, scary, and passionate. I especially loved him paired with Destiny as she was one who could hold her own and then some.
For me, this is the best book in the series because a lot of questions are answered and we really get to see the family really come together. I really liked that yes, Dest is the "enemies" daughter but she as well is a victim of her father and used as a pawn. When it comes down to it, can family and enemies work together to achieve a common goal to keep Destiny safe, and get rid of the people causing problems?
Good spicy read and now I am dying to get my hands on Jade's story.
This is the sixth book in this impressive series and is Finn and Destiny’s journey. Finn is the underboss of the Gallagher family and after being recently shot he is out for revenge, and what better way than getting his enemies daughter. Destiny is a pawn in a game she wants no part off. The chemistry between Finn and Destiny is explosive and undeniable, and they compliment each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is intense, and with emotions, danger, suspense, vengeance, betrayal, jealousy, witty banter, deception, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I am always waiting in anticipation for Brooke's books! This does not disappoint. I am in love with this one going series and the many different characters we see now and the future. We finally get Finn's book and Destiny comes for the ride! Finn missed everything when he was shot and in a coma. He lost his self and he wanted his vengeance. The ultimate vengeance comes in the form of Destiny. Destiny comes in think she knew everything about her Father and boy was she wrong. Destiny take s Finn off his guard. But as fate deems it, it intervenes. The heat and chemistry between Finn and Destiny is electric. They have their ups and downs. Finn develops a protective streak and he is all in. They get their HEA! This is a continuation of the Gallagher family and you never lose that in this series. You see the characters grow and development and makes you want that next book and the many other character spin offs. I can not wait and you won't either. Brooke is always a one click buy for me!!
*** I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review***
One, Destiny is bad ass. I love how strong the women in this series are. They love and need their men but they are also capable of handling their own. And Destiny proves that in spades.
Two, I love that she calls Finn Pyscho Boy. Like best nickname ever. He's maybe my favorite male character in the series. There's something about him that just draws me in.
Three, this is another great entry in the series. I love the way the characters and storylines entwine. While this story is about Finn and Destiny, the other characters make appearances and we get follow ups. It really gives depth to the book because we see the characters grow and change.
This is book six in the Made series. I was hooked by chapter one, where Finn Gallagher has to deal with a traitor. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, there’s spoilers ahead. Finn has revenge planned, for the death of one of his family members & for being shot. But what happens when the object of your revenge actually needs saving in order for you to get your revenge? The further I got into this story, the more plot twists there were. Destiny calls Finn “Psycho Boy”. She’s not scared of Finn, and she has plans of her own. I loved the strength of Destiny—she’s smart, bold, & fearless. The characters in the Made series are all favourites of mine, and catching up with the extended Gallagher family is always fun. The plot is tense & taut, helped along by the author’s temporal shifts. Lots of questions answered, but the fate of Jade hangs over the family. Looking forward to her tale, and her much-deserved revenge on those who have abused her.
Netgalley gifted me a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
Finn is looking for revenge against the death of his father and what better way of getting that than taking his enemy’s most prized possession, his daughter Destiny, right? Unfortunately for Finn all is not as it seems. Destiny is also looking for revenge and she’s not the meek and humble girl that Finn was expecting. So what happens when Finn and Destiny realize they have a common enemy? Well let’s just say the sparks start to fly and your Kindle might go on fire as these two enemies turned lovers realize they might just be what the other is searching for. This is a continuation of the Gallagher clan and another story with strong male and female leads ( no whiny ladies here). Like the other books in the series there’s plenty of heat, a bit of action, and a sprinkling of humor with a bit of a shocking twist when a new enemy to The Clan emerges. Those of you who have read the other books in the series will delight upon seeing many familiar faces, but you don’t have to have read the other books in this series to enjoy this Mafia romance (although I strongly recommend that you do because they’re really great books). I can’t wait for more from this devastatingly handsome crew and can’t wait for the next book to come out. 5 stars. I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.
This is the second book I read from this series and its OH so good. Please make sure you read any and all warnings as Finn could be rather ruthless at times. More of a sadist type nature. Him and Destiny were so good together as she mellowed him in out. I so need to catch up with the rest of the books in this series and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
