A fairly cute, simple romance! Entertained me in the moment and was a quick read, don’t have any prominent feelings about it but it wasn’t bad!

This was so enjoyable! I've only read one other Lucy Score book, Things We Never Got Over, and I loved that one as well so I will definitely be reading her backlist and all her future books! I am not a huge fan of third person but this was so good that I didn't even mind it all! I loved everything about this book honestly. The small town vibes, the found family, the little twists, the animals, SILAS!!!! I adored Silas! He was just a huge ball of sunshine! I loved how he was unapologetically himself and knew what he wanted and went for it. I'm also a huge fan of the man falling first. I also loved Maggie's character development. The spice was also very good, Silas had me blushing a little. I loved the way it was wrapped up at the end and didn't need an epilogue. I've never seen it done that way before so that was refreshing. Overall this was such a cute, funny and sweet read I would definitely recommend. By the way where can I find a Silas? *dreamy sigh*

I was immediately drawn to this book because of the blurb, I love HGTV and you add a little romance and I’m sold. However, this book seemed to bite off more than it could chew. There were so many sub plots throughout this book that I feel like the main purpose of the book got lost along the way.

I also had a hard time believing that Maggie was in her thirties, most of her behavior made her seem in her mid twenties at most. But the aspect I struggled with the most was Silas and his insta-love behavior. I am fine with characters having instant attraction but it really takes me out of the book when a character is talking marriage in a matter of a few days, whether it’s joking or not. Silas just comes on way too strong in my opinion and honestly I did not feel the chemistry between Silas and Maggie.

I have read books from Lucy Score before so I think this book and I just weren’t a good fit and I will continue to read more of her work in the future.

This book had me hooked by the first chapter. Maggie just bought a huge house in the middle of nowhere Idaho. Her best friend and partner Dean said that she was crazy for buying this site unseen. Maggie is excited to get started on the flip and she has to hire help from the local town. Silas is set on getting his bid in and picked to change the landscaping of the old Campbell house into something beyond beautiful. As soon as he arrives and gets out of this truck he sees Maggie. Her stops and decides he is going to marry Maggie and he is determined to have her feel the same way. Maggie doesn’t have a family but in her own way she gets one. This book was full of laughs and heart tugging moments that will make you fall of love with each character. I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie renovates and flips houses on her YouTube channel. But her business partner worries that she has taken on too much with the dilapidated 18 room mansion with a gorgeous view of Western Idaho.

Silas is Mr. Wright (seriously - the jokes are fun). And he falls for Maggie on first sight when applying to be her project's landscaper. But the best part about Silas may be his dog, Kevin. Kevin is the most amazing dog! I'm always a sucker for books with dogs on the cover and personality in the book. Kevin lives up to the hype and causes all kinds of mischief.

This is a fun romance tied up with a mystery about the origins of the house. It's a great story of the family you make. I actually enjoyed the mystery and the found family more than the romance between Maggie and Silas. The ending felt a bit rushed, and the middle dragged a bit. Overall though, I quite enjoyed it.

Thank you to Forever for the advanced reader copy. These opinions are my own.

There was a great depth to the book, multiple layers that went beyond just a simple love story. The mystery brought together all the characters, but really showed the female main character how she could change. There were so many layers to the book that it kept you engaged. I also enjoyed that it was not a predictable storyline, yes, it's a romance novel, but it went above that. It was fun to read.

Such a great read! I am absolutely kicking myself for not reading Lucy Score until now!!!! Ten minutes into reading Maggie Moves On, I just knew this book would be a winner for me! I immediately connected with Lucy Score’s writing style and before I was finished this novel I had already 1-clicked two of Lucy’s previously released books—thats’s how much enjoyed it! This sweet romance had everything I look for in a great book and the cherry on top was the fact that the leading character was a smart and independent lady that didn’t need anyone to come and save her—love that! I was captivated from start to finish and I sincerely recommend this gem to EVERYONE!

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for access to this title early in exchange for my honest review.

I am literally obsessed with this book. Lucy Score knows how to write small town love stories and it just melts my freaking heart. I loved how well the romance was developed on top of all of the side characters. Typically it’s either one or the other for me but this just did such a good job on having really solid, developed supporting characters on top of our MCs. With this book you get a heart-felt romcom on top of amazing found family vibes.

Silas Wright, aka Mr Right, is hired as a contractor, he’s super sexy, super flirty, and an absolute ball of sunshine. He gives me such Luke Dane vibes. He’s comfortable in his masculinity & is the most loving, sensitive, and emotional man. I am obsessed with him and I adored him as our love interest. Also he totally falls first and I’m such a simp for men falling first in books.

Maggie is a house-flipper and YouTube star. Such a good concept for a book?! She’s had to stand up for what she wants, she is confident in making decision, and has a hard time asking people for help. I loved her a lot because I think a lot of people are going to relate to her as a character. She always caring for others over herself. I think we can all relate a bit to how she feels. I love good character development in my women MCs.

I would read a whole book on Cody and Jun. Cody’s character is so special to me. He deserves the whole world and there’s a scene that y’all are ALL going to cry while reading bc I loved him so much.

The romance had emotional chemistry, good banter, and a hell of a lot of physical chemistry. The spice was so good. Have I mentioned that Silas is sexy as hell?!

This book definitely makes me want to go and read some of her old books. Her writing is so so so good. It sucks you right in.

I loved this book! The strong female character, the flirty banter between the main characters, the town, the family that is created, and the steamy parts were all perfect! This was my first book by Lucy Score but won't be my last!

I loved the Campbell house, along with its backstory and wish I could see such a house in person because it sounds amazing. I love the character of Maggie and Dean and how they are in each other life’s. Silas, however, annoyed me no end. If I heard him say Darlin’ one more time, or try to once again control Maggie’s life I could scream. Maggie should apologize to him because she didn’t call him for the attempted break in? If his house was being broken into, would anyone think Maggie should be mad he didn’t call her to come to his rescue? No. I kept feeling as if he wanted to possess and control her and was totally sexist. His so called hotness did not compensate.
The story of Michael’s coming out, Wallace’s becoming a nicer man, and Cody finding a family was wonderful. I liked the epilogue where each characters future was sewn up. I was glad to see what happened to each one.

I really enjoyed Maggie Moves On! Every interaction that had Kevin in it made me laugh. I love books with dogs and his mischief was so fun. Maggie and Silas had such good banter and chemistry and I instantly loved them. I could read a whole other book based on all the supporting characters because they were all so funny and interesting. I’ve read a few house reno romances before and this is one of my favorites. I wasn’t all that interested in the story about the previous owner of the house and the gold but I loved the rest of the book. Lucy Score is definitely one of my new favorite romance authors!

Maggie Moves on is a brand new small town romance by Lucy Score and this book literally had me giggling the entire time! I’m fairly new to Lucy’s writing, with Things We Never Got Over being my first book by her, and after reading that I instantly fell in love with her writing and have been binging her books! Her books are never a let down and if your looking for a cute fluffy read with lots of banter than you’ll for sure fall in love with this book. Silas, the main hero, has the personality of a golden retriever and I’m absolutely here for it…. Plus his dog omg so adorable! I love how this book was boy falls madly in love with girl first because I feel like there aren’t that many romance books with that trope out there. Silas is also very in touch with his emotions and again I love reading about men who aren’t all just super grumpy, which don’t get me I love, but it’s nice to see a change up every now and then. Also Silas’s family dynamic is just chefs kiss. But the real star of this book in my opinion is drum roll please…. KEVIN! I absolutely love him and SPOILERS the scene where Silas is chasing him around in his boxers had me dying in the floor of laughter. This book is an overall cute read if you like light romance books and you should definitely pick it up when it releases!

Overall rating 3.75/5 stars!

I’ve received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for free. This review above reflects my honest opinions

This was another great contemporary romance from Lucy Score. Lucy does a phenomenal job of writing real characters with real issues... and making it fun to read, believable, and always delivers an HEA.

Maggie Moves On is no exception. Maggie is a strong, independent woman, who has made a career of renovating houses and then moving on. When she returns to a place with a secret connection to her past, she starts a her biggest project yet. What she doesn't realize is the summer is going to be as much about renovating her own life as it is about renovating the house.

Silas is a landscaper with deep roots and hometown dreams. When Maggie comes into his life in the form of a potential contract, he sees a potential long term future. But what happens when small town deep roots meets tumbleweed dreams?

As Maggie and Silas' romance heats up, Maggie is forced to examine her painful past, and look hard at who she is and who she really wants to be - who she might allow herself to be if she saw the value others do in her. Silas is forced to confront the idea that he might be dreaming too small, and he might have to be willing to do some transplanting of his own to make his dreams come true.

Add in a naughty pup, two adorable stray kittens, a teenager in need of guidance, the cranky town historian, a sassy and supportive ex-husband, a sister who unexpectedly crashes the party, an impromptu family reunion, and a missing treasure... and this book was a can't-put-down-finish-in-one night kind of read.

Maggie Nichols has been working nonstop flipping houses and sharing the journey with her YouTube subscribers. Her work keeps her on the road, always looking for the next project, until the castle-like house in Kinship, Idaho - along with the local landscaper - makes her question of it’s time to put down roots.

This was so much fun! It was heartwarming, funny, and an absolute treasure of a read. I am a sucker for a dog with a big personality, and Kevin fits the bill perfectly.

All of our characters are so interesting on their own that I wish there was a book coming out for each of them. It’s got that perfect small town feel that makes you care about them all, though I’m partial to Wallace (I work with seniors, so are we really surprised that I love the grisly older man with a love of history?)

The relationship between Maggie and Silas is so well crafted, and I enjoyed how different they were while still being well suited for each other. And when things get rolling, they get pretty steamy!

This is not my first Lucy Score book, nor will it be my last, as I love a feel good romance! If you’re missing a sense of community after lockdowns and restrictions, pick up this book!

Maggie Moves On was such a fun read, I loved her and Silas' dynamic and it was great that there was so much of the house flip described as well. Overall, really enjoyed this one.

Maggie and Silas’ story was full of entertaining banter, hilarious characters, and a captivating storyline. I loved reading about Maggies self growth, how the couple overcame their obstacles, and the excellent Campbell Family mystery. The side characters in this story were scene-stealers, and I absolutely loved the “where are they now” recap at the end!!

This book is so much fun and I adore the found family. Silas does come on a bit strong at the beginning but he grew on me. I would have liked a tad bit more from the love confession at the end but I still think it was really good.

I received an arc through netgalley.

What a fun book! It combines a fun love story, small town and a home renovation show. Despite her baggage, Maggie has a heart of gold and it shines through the book. The supporting characters are well developed as is this great small town. Lucy Score has mastered small town lives and the awesome people that live there!
