Good near the end but took a while to get started. I was attracted to the cover but it was a shame that the story did not get moving particularly quickly. Overall an okay book but one that was not a stand out for me from thsi year
This was an interesting novel about society expectations, how we but into them and a truly free and living being. Donna is a rather pathetic, self-centered character while Vincent is the colour in the story.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this arc
A clever insight into the importance to not assume what matters to you is also what matters to others. I found the protagonist frustrating at times with her attitude towards her brother but ultimately she came to a place of understanding, it’s a beautifully written book and this gives depth to the fundamental message.
An interesting novel spanning years in the life of Grace, her relationship with her artistic brother and the turmoil in her marriage reflective of her parent’s marriage. It is a story of reflection, of personal growth and of discovery.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
