The Farm-to-Fork Mystery series is one of my favorites and this installment did not disappoint. I love the relationships and the setting. In this book, Estebe becomes a murder suspect. The story is well-plotted, well-paced, and full of tension. I do wish Lynn would eliminate the novellas in this series as the last one was not very good and I feel like they are not really needed.

I really enjoyed this book by Lynn. It was another one where the plot kept you enthralled for the entire book. I was captivated from the start and it was hard to put the book down because I wanted to find out what would happen. I don't want to give anything away, but if you've enjoyed her other books, you will enjoy this one as well. And, if you haven't read her before, give it a go, you will be pleased.

A Fatal Family Feast is the sixth book in the Farm-to-Fork Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon.

Felicia, Angie’s best friend and partner in their restaurant, the County Seat, is getting married soon, as long as her future husband isn’t arrested for murder.

This can be read as a stand-alone. I really like books where the characters are likable and really care for each other. They are willing to call each other out when someone does something they shouldn’t, even if the intentions were good. It was an interesting mystery and there were a lot of twists that kept me guessing who did it.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Lynn Cahoon is a go to author for me for a great cozy mystery. River Vista, near Boise, Idaho, is a small town and home of the County Seat Restaurant, where the staff use local farm products in their dishes. Angie Turner and her BFF and business partner, Felicia Williams, started the restaurant and events are gearing up for a wedding...that of Felicia and Sous Chef Estebe Blackstone. Things are going along well until Felicia's Boston family arrive to try to talk Felicia out of the marriage of someone beneath her. Even her old flame and associate of her father's, Jason, tries to get her to rekindle their relationship and return to Boston. When he turns up dead, Estebe is the number one suspect. The Scooby Do gang puts their sleuthing minds together to find the real killer. Did one of the Bostonians set him up? There is a temp who is helping out in the kitchen who is trying to sabotage things in the restaurant. When Angie fires her, she retaliates. This is a mystery that is multilayered and fun to watch unravel as the story spins. Angie gets a little too close to the killer and puts her life in danger. Will there be a wedding and/or honeymoon? Sweet and surprise ending. Another great addition to the series and looking forward to the next in the series.
I received a complimentary ARC from Kensington Books, Lyrical Press, and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Angie’s best friend and business partner, Felicia Williams is getting married to their sous chef, Estebe Blackstone. What better place to have the wedding than the County Seat, their farm-to-fork restaurant. The restaurant will be closed for the week and transformed into the perfect wedding venue.

All is on schedule until Felicia's family sends her ex-fiancé to convince her to cancel the wedding and come back to Boston. That situation seems to be handled until the ex-fiancé is murdered and Estebe is the prime suspect. Of course Angie needs to find the real killer so they can have the perfect wedding.

I enjoyed this one and while it wasn’t my favorite of the series I did enjoy the fact that we got see the characters personal life aside from the mystery was pretty cool.

Felicia Williams, Angie Turner’s business partner, is getting married to Estebe Blackstone in a week. Angieis busy with last minute preparations for the big event. Unfortunately, Felicia’s family is not happy about the upcoming nuptials. They send Felicia’s former fiancé to town to try and dissuade her from marrying Estebe. The meeting does not go well. When the former fiancé turns up dead, Estebe is at the top of the suspect list. Someone has set him up. If the wedding is to take place as planned, Angie needs to don her sleuthing cap and finds the guilty party. Can Angie solve the murder in time, or will the nuptials take place in the jailhouse? A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon is the sixth A Farm-to-Fork Mystery. It can be read as a standalone if you are new to the series. All our favorite characters are back in this lighthearted cozy mystery. Angie, Dom, Mabel, Ian, Felicia, Estebe, and the rest of the County Seat staff. The characters are realistic and relatable. I love hearing about the antics of Angie’s menagerie. It is down to the final week before the wedding. They have enough to do without a murder on their hands as well as Felicia’s snooty parents. The mystery suited the story. There is misdirection along with several suspects. I like how the Scooby Gang worked to gather information and put together the clues to solve the crime. I wish the crime had been more of a challenge (I pegged the killer very early in the book). The ending will have fans smiling. The food descriptions will have your mouth watering. A Fatal Family Feast is a charming whodunit with imminent nuptials, a bothersome ex-beau, patronizing parents, a fervent fiancé, an incommodious murder, and a busy bridesmaid.

As two of the County Seat family are preparing to be married Felicia's family shows up to stop it. Including her ex-fiancé who is later found murdered. When Estebe is framed for the crime the crew must put seek out the answers themselves before the honeymoon is spent in a jail cell.

This book was Ok. I found it to be very slow paced. It just did not keep my interest. The so called mystery and clues were somewhat ridiculous.

I really enjoyed this installment in the Farm-to-Fork Mystery series! The character arcs and their relationships are lovely, and I loved the added tension of Estebe as a murder suspect during wedding preparations. The setting is cozy, and I love Dom, Angie's cozy companion. The story was well-paced, and I enjoyed the twists and turns!

This is a mystery full of twists and turns, although IMO I thought the whodunit was rather obvious.

It is a joyous occasion at the County Seat, a farm-to-fork restaurant in Idaho. Angie Turner's BFF and business partner Felicia Williams is due to wed head chef Estebe Blackstone in what promises to be a fairy tale wedding, unless Felicia's meddling, disapproving family gets their way. Felicia's ex-boyfriend, who is all about appearances and the good of his career, has come to town to try and bring Felicia back to Boston, to him and to her father's company. Then he turns up dead and Estebe is the prime suspect, despite having no means, motive or opportunity and so far the only evidence is that the lead detective holds a high school grudge. Angie goes to the ends of the Earth to find other suspects so the groom may wed his blushing bride on time.

To be honest I had a bit of difficulty keeping some of the characters straight in this book. I did like that Felicia stood up to her family and was going to marry Estebe with or without them. Estebe is extremely likeable and completely unbelievable as a suspect and the fact that he is one for the majority of the book is just laughable. I did enjoy the wedding preparations and the final confrontation that managed to save the cake.

Cute setting and fun characters (hopefully fewer next time) make this a delightful read to pass a rainy afternoon.

A Fatal Family Feast (Farm to Fork 6) by Lynn Cahoon

Welcome back to River Vista, Idaho! For a wedding, you'll never forget. Mrs. Cahoon keeps getting better with every book and honestly, I'm not sure how that happens! I already loved this series but each book has that certain something that keeps me turning the pages quicker and quicker while totally emersed in the lives of Angie and the County Seat gang. I would love to see Hallmark pick up this and her Tourist Trap mystery series as I believe that everyone who enjoys a simply good mystery would fall in love with Lynn Cahoon's work.

in this episode, Felicia and Estebe's wedding is finally here!!!
Well, it's here but Felicia's daddy is being a royal snob and his attitude is only the start of their issues!
Jason Anderson Roberts, the Third, Felicia's ex-fiance and her dad's fix-it man, is in town to convince her to leave with him. But boy is he stirring up trouble. From a confrontational breakfast with Angie and Felicia to murder, will this wedding ever happen! To find out you have to read the book!

Thank you to NetGalley, Ms. Cahoon, and the publisher for my ARC.

From the first book, this series grabbed me and has continued to hold my love through the newest release, Fatal Family Feast. Like all the other books, a well plotted murder touches the team at the County Seat drawing them into a complex investigation. As always, it is the wonderful interaction of the team that draws me back over and over. Strong, intelligent, and fun characters highlight this cozy mystery series.
One of the things I enjoy is that Angie’s boyfriend Ian not only supports her in her search for the murder but he actually helps her even though he worries about her safety. As well as being friends of the engaged couple, he figures his involvement might mean that Angie is safer than if she works alone and he knows she is going to investigate. Felicity and Estebe are two of my favorite people in the series so I was excited when they became a couple. Now we are getting ready to celebrate their marriage, if a lazy detective doesn’t find a way to blame the murder on the groom.
My thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for allowing me to read an ARC of one of the best books of the year. I had not preordered A Fatal Family Feast but I grabbed my own copy today because this book is sure to be a reread for years to come. Friends and family will be hearing a lot about A Fatal Family Feast, as they have been hearing about the rest of the series since I first discovered it.

Weddings and murder definitely don't mix, especially when the murder affects the bride's family without being a member of said family. Angie was determined her bestie was going to have the best wedding day ever, so she quickly got on the case. Once she had a suspect, she didn't let go this time. It was really more about how the perp was caught as opposed to whodunit which after piecing things together did seem obvious. I liked the game of cat and mouse that was set in between all the regular activities Felicia and Angie had to get in before the wedding.

The showdown was really good, and the book's ending was even better! I hadn't seen any of that coming, so there was definitely some happy eye leakage going on while I read. I can't wait to see what the next book brings!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Publishing via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon sees the Scooby bunch investigating a murder that Felicia's fiancé, Estebe, is accused of. It turns out the investigating detective is Estebe's high school nemesis and would like nothing better than to send him to prison. No one else believes it and the evidence is against him, but he carries on. The wedding is in a week. The victim was once Felicia's "fiancé." Well, her parents wanted him to be. He parents want her to dump her life in Idaho and return to civilization with them. He was sent to make that happen. Angie does a lot of research about the people involved and comes up with some interesting information. She has a theory, which no one buys into, but she might be right!

This is a terrific series. Cahoon has developed a world for these people in Idaho and it's easy to get sucked into it. The restaurant, her pets, her boyfriend, Ian, are all entertaining and interesting. Weddings are always good and they are determined to keep moving forward with this one until there is nowhere to go. They all have interesting back-stories and entertaining friends. The mystery is a good one, too. If a reader is going to shortlist cozy series, this is one for the list! I enjoyed it.

I was invited to read a free e-ARC of A Fatal Family Feast by Lyrical Press, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #netgalley #lyricalpress #lynncahoon #afatalfamilyfeast

A murder hits too close to home when Felicias ex is killed and the police focus on her current fiance as the killer. Can Angie figure out the truth before the wedding is impacted? I love this quirky cast of characters and their chosen family!

A Fatal Family Feast " the 6th instalment in the Farm to Fork Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon. I love this series!

Angie Turner's Idaho restaurant, the County Seat, is the perfect site for a picturesque country wedding, but the party planning skids to a halt when the groom-to-be is implicated in a murder investigation…

I really enjoyed this story, and I love the main characters and how their lives are progressing. Angie has surrounded herself with a good group of people, but it can take one bad apple to upset things. We get to meet Felicia’s family from Boston, who I must confess I did not like to much …
The mystery is interesting and well plotted. I kept guessing and second-guessing myself on whodunnit right to the very end. I can’t wait for book 7 and find out what’s in store with Angie and Ian.

I recommend this book to all my cozy lover friends.

I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from Kensington Books and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Felicia and Esteban's wedding is arriving soon so of course that's the perfect time to solve a murder too. The gang is all back and ready to work, whether it's creating great food or mischief. Lynn Cahoon's cozy mysteries are perfect weekend reads, each one is like a reunion with old friends. Angie and her County Seat crew never disappoint.

The County Seat staff in this Farm-to-Fork tale have been together a while now and they grow closer with each book. In A Fatal Family Feast, Felicia and Estebe are getting married. It a joyful occasion except Felicia’s parents are not happy.
Felicia’s past has always been a bit mysterious in previous books. It’s been she and Angie against the world to start The County Seat. They’ve built a successful business. Felicia did what Angie feared would never happen, she fell in love enough to marry Estebe rather than walk away. It was interesting to pull back the veil and learn more about Felicia’s past at the time when she is launching a new future.
When Angie meets Felicia’s first boyfriend, Jason, and then her parents, Angie is ready to do battle for her friend. Before it comes to that Jason is found dead in an alley in Boise.
Estebe is of interest in the case because an old high school rival of Estebe’s is the detective. Angie is determined her friends’ wedding will happen, so the Scooby gang sets to investigating. I love that Angie, Ian, Felicia and Estebe call themselves the Scooby gang. Angie has a notebook to record all the information they find and she is good about telling Chief Allen Brown about all their theories and findings.
I didn’t really like Estebe’s character early on in the series but he has definitely grown on me. I like all the County Seat staff, so I felt protective when Angie had to bring in a temporary cook in Hallie. The dynamic amongst the staff is one element that makes this series work well.
Angie’s parents were so troublesome throughout the book that I’m not sure I believe they would change their tune but I will leave it there because I don’t want to spoil the wedding.

The mystery was well balanced with the life activities needed preparations for the wedding. I didn’t see where the author was going with the different suspects, so it’s interesting how things play out.
There are a few surprises in the story and I’m glad I got the chance to review A Fatal Family Feast.
