A Fatal Family Feast, the 6th Farm-to-Fork Mystery written by Lynn Cahoon, was a great story. Everyone is together for Felicia's Wedding. Things are going well until her ex shows up and her fiancé Estebe handles it pretty well. But he ends up dead and puts a crimp in all the festivities. This was a great mystery. The story is well written, and I love all the characters. A well-developed perfectly paced plot with some twists I didn't see coming.

Wedding bells or jailhouse blues? Felicia and Estebe’s wedding is upon the County Seat crew and of course the week leading up to the big day couldn’t be smooth sailing. Felicia’s family comes in for the wedding, including her ex fiancé and her half brother. When one ends up dead and the lead detective is an old rival of Estebe’s the Scooby gang has to get back to work to ensure that the groom stays out from behind bars long enough to see his bride walk down the aisle. Another amazing entry in the Farm to Fork mystery series that you don’t want to miss.

A Fatal Family Feast is the 6th book in the fabulous Farm-To-Fork Mystery series and it is as wonderful as all of the other books! Lynn Cahoon knows how to create likable interesting characters, an intriguing cozy mystery, friendship, humor and some clean romance! Angie and Felicia own the County Seat Restaurant and are best friends. Felicia is getting married to Estebe, the restaurant's chef and the wedding will be at the County Seat. Felicia's family wants her to marry Jason, who works for her father and is Felicia's ex-fiancee. Her family is creating some problems in an effort to get the wedding cancelled but things escalate when Jason is killed days before the wedding! Estebe is the prime suspect and Angie and her friends need to clear Estebe so the wedding can go on. The characters are wonderful especially Angie, her boyfriend Ian, Felicia and Estebe. The characters make this a truly great series! This is a well written book with good pacing and is very enjoyable! #NetGalley #AFatalFamilyFeast #LynnCahoon #LyricalPress

Estebe and Felicia are getting married...well, that is if Estebe isn't successfully framed for the murder of Felicia's former fiance. With the wedding coming up fast, the Scooby Doo Gang needs to act fast if they're going to get the couple married and send them off on their European honeymoon. Add Angie's not so enthusiastic family to the mix and you've got all the makings for an emotional ride of ups and downs along with a whodunit full of red herrings and suspects, making for one great read!

I love Lynn Cahoon's work..there is nothing of her work that I haven't loved! If you haven't read one of her books before, what are you waiting for? She's the queen of cozies!

I received a copy of A Fatal Family Feast through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon is the sixth mystery in the Farm-to-Fork Mystery series. In this mystery, Felicia and Estebe are days away from their wedding when someone from Felicia’s past turns up murdered and Estebe is the number one suspect. Back at it again, Angie Turner takes it upon herself to search for the killer while helping with final details for the upcoming nuptials.

I have enjoyed this whole series and everything I have read by Lynn Cahoon and A Fatal Family Feast is no different. I enjoyed the wedding aspect of this mystery and liked learning about Felicia’s past. This series has great characters and intriguing mysteries. I would definitely recommend it to any cozy mystery fan.

This is a fun, easy read. I have not read the earlier books but this did not present a problem as the author provides enough information for the reader to know what has happened before.

For all the long time readers of the series this one must be a major highlight as two of the major characters, Felicia and Estebe, are preparing for their wedding. Then there is a murder and Estebe is a major suspect. Their friends all go into action to find the real culprit before the wedding is ruined.

Nice characters, some cute animals, an interesting mystery make for an entertaining and enjoyable read.

Angie Turner’s restaurant, the County Seat, is the perfect site for the wedding of her best friend and business partner, Felicia Williams, and the sous chef, Estebe Blackstone. Unfortunately, Felicia's family is far less enthusiastic about the union. They want the wedding cancelled believing that her ex-fiancé is a better choice. But when her ex is killed days before the ceremony and Estebe is framed for the crime, Angie must come up with a solution before the wedding is off.
This was a great culinary cozy mystery. Angie is a very likeable character who believes that family doesn't just mean a blood relation. She goes all out to keep her loved ones safe. The plot was exciting with a touch of romance which makes it a fun read. I felt the ending was a little predictable, but it was still a satisfying read. I received an advanced reader's copy from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

Thank you to Kensington Books for a gifted copy of A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon. All opinions are my own.

Angie and her friends are back in a new Farm to Fork novel. Felicia's wedding may be put on hold if Angie and her friends cannot discover who killed her ex-fiance. Her current fiance is the number one suspect.

I love this series with great friendships and adorable farm animals. This is a perfect cozy series for some lighthearted reading. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Lynn Cahoon’s A Fatal Family Feast, the sixth entry in her Farm-to-Fork Mysteries, has potential with the beautiful setting around Boise, Idaho and its focus on farm-to-table food. Unfortunately, the weaknesses of the book keep it from succeeding.
A Fatal Family Feast begins with Angie, the protagonist, worrying about the venue for the wedding of her friends Felicia and Estebe. It quickly becomes clear that the wedding is facing more serious obstacles, namely, opposition from Felicia’s wealthy family. Felicia’s ex-boyfriend (and her father’s fix-it guy) shows up to convince her to call off the wedding and move home, but he is killed shortly thereafter, and Estebe is the prime suspect.
While there are some interesting moments of investigation, mystery, and suspense, overall, the book is much too slow—the pacing is a significant issue. For the first twenty percent of the book, Angie takes no action: she talks to people about problems, she accompanies Felicia to different locations, she’s a witness to some unpleasantness, but she doesn’t do anything. While she does become more active as the book progresses, the novel drags so much at the beginning that it never really recovers.
More problematically, none of the characters are particularly interesting. This is a problem in many cozy series, and unfortunately, this does not seem to be an exception. Angie and the people in her inner circle are all extraordinarily polite and kind (even when Estebe gets called out for machismo, it’s with good humor). While I understand that one of the premises of cozies is that the characters are likable, these ones are so flat that they were impossible to care about.
Some of this carried over into the dialogue, where there are a lot of on-the-nose questions and answers that seem designed to do nothing more than give the reader information—for example, ‘Do you love Estebe?’ ‘Yes.’ On its own, that’s not glaringly bad, but it’s the overall pattern.
Readers who have enjoyed previous books in the series may find pleasure in following the lives of characters they have become attached to, but even so, they should be aware that the book’s slow pacing and lackluster characters may put them off from future books.

A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon (Farm to Fork Mystery #6) 4 stars

Felicity, Angie's friend and partner at The County Seat is getting married to Estebe Blackstone, the talented sous chef of the restaurant. The wedding plans are progressing at a good pace, but a spanner is thrown in the works when Felicity's ex-boyfriend, Jason shows up to try the stop the wedding and take Felicity back to Boston. Before you can say fondant, Jason is found dead in an alley and Estebe is suspect #1. Can Angie solve the crime, exonerate Estebe and get the wedding back on track? You have to get to the end to find out.

I found this book a good read; Angie puts her research skills to good use by delving into the background of the victim. It did slow down in bits and I was down to two main suspects by the middle of the book. I've read almost all the books in this series (including novellas), but this was not my favorite. However, this book does set the stage for the next part of Angie's life and I look forward to an overseas trip. I will be on the lookout for Wedding Bell Blues (Tourist Trap #13) coming in March 2022

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books/Lyrical Press for this ARC.

This is the sixth in the series but can be read as a standalone.
Felicia Williams, Angie’s business partner, is getting married and we get to learn a lot about her past. For instance: Jason her ex-boyfriend who is destined to take over her father’s business; Felicia’s half-brother; and the family dynamics.

Jason is killed and Estebe Blackstone, the executive chef at the County Seat, is the prime suspect even though everyone except the detective, Roland, knows he didn’t do it. My guess is that Roland knows Estebe did not do it but wants Estebe to be found guilty. Roland’s dislike of Estebe goes back to high school.

I liked Sheriff Allen Brown, Ian McNeal’s uncle, willingness to feed information to the Scooby crew. I see a deeper respect building between Angie and the sheriff.

There are plenty of twists, turns, and bizarre situations to keep the reader turning the pages.
There is also a surprise at the end of the book along with a recipe from the County Seat.
I would have liked to know about Estebe's family. Just touching upon who they are by name and a few tidbits provided by his grandparents just wasn't enough for me.

I found this to be the best in the series to date. Cannot wait, but will have to, for the next installment.

I was given an advanced reader’s copy by Netgalley. I would like to thank Netgalley, Lyrical Press, and Netgalley for allowing me to read it. These are my own opinions.

It's wedding time at the County Seat, but it appears that there are several people attempting to interfere from the bride's family to an old high school rival of the groom that would like to railroad him into jail for a crime he didn't commit! This series has characters with personality plus that you can't help but fall in love with! Excellent setting and the food is simply heavenly, if only I could really go there and eat! The plot of the books, this one in particular, are well thought out and woven in a way to further connect you with the characters while you unwrap the mystery of "who did it!" I absolutely can't wait for the next book as this one has a fabulous ending that definitely lets you know that more is to come!

I enjoy reading this series. It feels like visiting old friends. The characters move forward in their lives in each books, so that is always nice. The why of the murder kept me guessing.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm very torn on this book. I did enjoy it but the mystery really wasn't a mystery. You could smell the murder from a mile away. It was very obvious who the culprit was from almost the very beginning. That didn't really detract from the enjoyment of the book though. What bugged me through the whole book is constant reminders of how poor Ian is. He can't afford a decent car. He can't afford a vacation. He can barely afford to call his mother in London (who even pays for international calls anymore with WhatsApp, Facebook and Skype readily available?? We aren't living in 20th century and haven't for a while). But he can afford to constantly eat out. (They all can afford to constantly eat out. Almost every meal is eaten out.) Destitute Ian however is very, very Jesusy. I mean twitching when someone says Jesus's name religious. Good grief. Why does this need to be in the book?
I'm starting to hate Ian, which is bad because he's clearly here to stay. He's just so sad, and annoying and...well... a loser.

Number 6 in the Farm to Fork mysteries is as fresh and exciting as the first! Felicia and Eztebe are going to be married but alas murder gets in the way! With engaging characters and a lively story plot this book shows why Lynn Cahoon is a fan favorite! Thanks #netgalley and #Keningston for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Wow!! This was a great book. It is #6 in Ms Cahoon's Farm to Fork Mysteries, and it did not disappoint! Angie's best friend and partner,Felicia, is getting married, to sous-chef extradinare, Estebe. Although they originally wanted to hold the wedding at Angie's farm, it is eaarly enough in the spring to feel safer holding it inside at their restaurant. About 2 weeks before the ceremony, Angie's old boyfriend shows up, bent on talking her out of the wedding, and back to her family in Boston. When he turns up dead later that week, it is up to Angie and company to discover who killed him, and why. I loved that there were numerous red herrings, ties to Angie's past, and multple things to throw the armchair detective off the scent.
I always enjoy a book by Lynn Cahoon, and this is just the latest, and perhaps, the best one yet!!

Food, family and finances all play roles in this sixth book of the Farm to Fork series.
Angie’s best friend and business partner, Felicia Williams, can't wait to tie the matrimonial knot with head chef Estebe. He is the love of her life, but not the type of man her family would choose for her.
Also, Felicia's business is not what her parents planned for her future.
Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but when family gets involved, tries to take over, it can be murderous.
It is stressful for more than the bride, as events affect all the restaurant and staff, who really are more like family than just friends and coworkers. Especially when the groom becomes the top person of interest in a murder investigation.
Angie and her Scooby gang of amateur sleuths have no doubt they can clear Estebe, but can they do it before the wedding? Or will they die trying?

I love the loyalty and friendships in this series. The clues are sprinkled liberally through the book.
Even if you figure out who is the real killer, you have to work to understand motive.

When a murder threatens to derail Felicia’s wedding Angie Turner and the Scooby crew step in to prove that Felicia’s fiancé wasn’t the killer. I figured out who done it fairly early but I still enjoyed the story. It’s well written and the story moved. This series has likeable characters and I enjoy following their lives from book to book.
