Felicia and Estebe are getting married in a week, until Felicia’s family shows up with her ex-boyfriend, and he winds up dead. Estebe looks good for the murder, but Angie and Ian are working hard to solve the murder before the wedding. Lynn Cahoon has done it again with a great cozy mystery that keeps you guessing until the very end.

Lynn Cahoon is one of my fave cozy authors and this is one of my favourite series! This was fun and zipped right along at just the right speed. The Scooby gang is making sure that the groom makes it to his wedding and lots of clue gathering and sharing makes this easy to follow along.

A Fatal Family Feast is book #6 in the Farm-to-Fork mystery series by Lynn Cahoon. This very enjoyable series is made even better with this entertaining addition. The characters are what draws me back to thie series and keeps me yearning to read more! I loved this ending, too.

Wonderful to be back with the restaurant crew. A wedding and a murder mystery. A quick and engaging read. This is a delightful series.

YAY! Felicia and Estebe are getting married! Angie, Ian, and the rest of the crew and friends of the County Seat restaurant are happy for them but sadly, her parents aren't. They arrive trailing her ex, who is then murdered. What? Estebe becomes the prime suspect, which makes no sense to Angie etc. because, well, he's the one getting married to Felicia, so they embark on their own investigation (with the Sheriff). It's a fun small town cozy notable for the characters. Ian, btw, has a surprise in store (no spoilers) and that made the book for me. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC, Fans will be pleased and those who pick it up as a standalone will find themselves with a new series to follow.

I really liked this one - this series is one of my absolute favorites and this one did not disappoint [completely, but more on that later]. I really love the dynamic of Angie and Ian and Felicia and Estebe and rest of the restaurant staff [and I ADORE how far Bleak has come and how she has blossomed under the love of Ian's aunt and uncle and the restaurant staff, especially Hope, who has taken her under her wing] and I love the setting of Idaho - it all combines to really great reads.

In this outing, everyone is prepping for Felicia and Estebe's wedding and all is going well until Felicia's former boyfriend shows up and then her parent's and half brother show up and then the former boyfriend ends up dead and naturally [this time I understood initially why they suspected Estebe as he was pretty close to the situation] Estebe is a suspect. But when he his clearly cleared, he is still a suspect due to a vendetta from a not-so-clean cop [I would have LOVED more backstory and resolution of THAT story-line] and it truly becomes up to the Sheriff [Allan], working behind the scenes and Angie to hunt down the killer. Now, to be fair, this was an easy mystery for me to solve [though I freely admit I did get a couple things wrong and that is totally okay] but it absolutely did not take away from the story as a whole. It was fun to watch them trying to figure it out [and I only think it is because they were all so personally close to the situation that kept them from seeing it sooner, though Angie I think truly knew all along] and it really made for a fun story - all the sleuthing mixed with marriage prep and watching 4 really close friends work together to save two of them from unhappiness - it was really fantastic.

NOW, to the problem of the book [for me, and this is the ONLY issue I have with this book] which is Ian. I really like Ian and I mostly like Ian and Angie together, but in this book, Ian started a behavior that annoyed the heck out of me - he starts complaining about money and how he doesn't have any [to do anything]. If you are a reader of this series, you know that Ian loves his job, doesn't want to change jobs and doesn't mind that he doesn't make a ton of money because that isn't what its about for him. Except now, apparently it is. The worse of the complaints [that happen in every chapter, and sometimes twice in one chapter] is that he barely has money to call his mom back in England [to which I call BS because of better phone plans, cell phone plans and things like FaceTime and WhatsApp where you can talk for free - all of this made this argument not FLY AT ALL for me] and then on the next page, not only does he buy lunch for he and Angie [even after she says she will cook] AND buys supper at a swankier than they usually go to restaurant. See how that kind of makes you scratch your head? I totally understand complaining about the lack of funds, but this was overkill and in keeping what we know of Ian, seemed very out of place and something I hope does not continue.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series. I cannot see where it takes the amazing crew of The County Seat!!

Idaho, restaurant, falsely accused, family-dynamics, friendship, murder, murder-investigation, law-enforcement, amateur-sleuth, rural, small-town, small-business, wedding, class-consciousness, dogs, family-business, farming, cozy-mystery****

Great characters and a solid whodunit plot. The publisher's blurb is a good hook so I won't repeat it. Just poke your nose into this good read and enjoy!

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Angie Turner owns the County Seat in southwestern Idaho. Her friend and partner, Felicia, is planning to marry Angie's sous-chef, Estebe. Felicia's parents are not happy at all. They want her to marry Jason, the ex-boyfriend. Then Jason is killed. The police come to take Estebe to the station. Angie, Felicia and friends call themselves the Scooby Gang as they try to solve the mystery. This story is great, I have read all of Lynn Cahoon's stories and each one is good.

Angie couldn't be happier for her best who is about to be married.
Things take a horrible turn when the death of an ex boyfriend winds up being married, and the groom is the prime suspect.
I really love this series and A Fatal Family Feast is a great addition.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

Angie and the Scooby Doo gang go into action when Felicia's ex boyfriend is murdered just days before her wedding. Filled with friendship, family drama and food, this is an excellent addition to this series.

Although part of the farm to table series you can easily read this as a stand alone. Good characters, and mystery

In author Lynn Cahoon's latest Farm-To-Fork mystery, A Fatal Family Feast, amateur sleuth and restaurant owner Angie Turner needs to solve a murder mystery to save her best friend's wedding and Happily Ever After. I like the characters in this series. They are realistic and very likable. I enjoy following along as Angie, her boyfriend Ian McNeal and their friends work together to gather clues to solve the mystery. I loved the ending of this book!

One of the best in the series so far! A Fatal Family Feast, the 6th Farm-to-Fork Mystery written by Lynn Cahoon, was a fantastic read. It combined all the best things about the setting by bringing the cast together for Felicia's wedding. When Felicia's ex shows up to cause trouble, her fiancé Estebe, tries to keep his cool. And he does! But someone still kills the guy and all the clues (well, not really... but a new detective has it in for the chef) point to Estebe. Angie must solve the case before her bestie's wedding is canceled. But she's not only fighting the police, she's also come to realize that all of Felicia's family wants to stop the wedding.

Lots of culprit possibilities. Great food and restaurant scenes. I truly want to get to Idaho soon. The backstory comes out in small increments, which helps bring more suspense than usual. The new hires at Angie and Felicia's restaurant all seem good, except something is boiling to the surface soon. My only niggles in this book were with the ending leaving some things open... I also would've liked more time with Estebe's family. We've met some in the past, but it was his wedding too. Plus, the scenes for the pre-wedding night events were hilarious yet too short.

Big news for Angie toward the end, also. Keeps the plots moving along, reader interest high, and a larger cast with some curious personalities. I really do enjoy Cahoon's books. This is third series of hers that I've fully caught up on, and I'm considering her other ones too. There is one more cozy that I'll definitely pick up, but I haven't decided on the other non-cozyish ones. Maybe I just need to spend more time getting to know them. A solid 4.5 stars on this book, and I need more soon, please!
