This is an excellent book that gives science based tips to flatten glucose spikes, increase energy, lose weight and improve health without having to terribly restrict your diet. It’s clearly written with short, easy to understand chapters and is full of hacks, charts and success stories. You can still eat your carbs, just eat fiber like a salad first and dress them up with some healthy fats and proteins. Have a glass of vinegar water first. Exercise within an hour of eating. There are tons of hacks like these with charts showing the difference they make in glucose levels (and thus, food being quickly shuttled to fat storage). An easy, informative read. Recommended.
This is well cited and full of actionable steps geared at becoming healthy from within. This book is not about weight-loss and personally i think the cover is doing the contents an injustice as many people will think this is a dieting book when it absolutely isn't. The text is approachable and informative and I was able to easily understand and take action from the Hacks listed in this book. I really do think this is going to make a difference in my overall health and I look forward to buying this book and sharing it with my dad who is a Type 2 diabetic.
Jessie Inchauspe, a biochemist, helps us all learn how to be a Glucose Goddess in her debut book Glucose Revolution. This book makes learning how to increase your energy, lower your glucose and manage your health a breeze. It's full of simple diagrams and analogies help make the science behind lowering your glucose spikes easily understandable. The author provides real life examples and data based tips to help lower your glucose levels while reminding readers that it’s not an overwhelming diet or all or nothing approach. While I think it could have benefited from more real-life examples, it’s a quick read jam packed with helpful information and recipe ideas. I've implemented a few of Jessie's hacks and am nothing a difference already!

This book is life changing.
I initially found Jessie on instagram (@glucosegoddess) and was mind blown by the FREE information she shares. I struggle with regulating my blood sugar/glucose levels due to PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and could not believe the simple recommendations she shares in this book. All information is easy to digest and understand and the tips and tricks could not be more simple to add to our daily life. We often think that the only people who need to worry about sugar are diabetics, but that is so far from the truth. We should all be caring about balancing our glucose levels, and it is (dare I say...) easy! We can all have more energy, sleep better, reduce bloating, etc. with these easy tips.
Thank you, Jessie, for being revolutionary in this field. You've changed my life!
I am SO glad I found this book. Normally, I try to read health advice books to improve my health and to add to my knowledge on whatever the subject is, but I almost always stop reading after a few chapters because it's either repetitive or too sciency. This book is neither.
I requested the book because I'd seen it somewhere and I wanted to improve my health and my glucose numbers. Right from the start, this book was an interesting read that I looked forward to reading each day. Imagine that - a book on improving your health that is actually hard to put down! It wasn't too sciency and was written in very understandable language. The hacks mentioned in the book are very easy to follow and is the type of information that when you read it you think, "that makes perfect sense. Why haven't I been doing this before?"
I'm all in. I'm following the hacks, and have highlighted parts of the book that I know I'll want to come back to as reference. I've also started following the author on social media and am looking forward to changing the way I look at food.
This book has changed the way I will view food and my intake of it forever. I appreciated reading about the authors journey with food and the tips to make better food choices in my life. This book is wonderful, finally, a book that really is for anyone trying to find out more about how a body works. It has some great tips, and even better insights into a problem that so many people are trying to figure out. The book has everything including nutrition and I have to say it was beyond easy to understand. I am looking forward to picking it back up and reading it again, and again - there is no hesitation in saying this book has helped me change my life.
This is the most useful, realistic and practical book on healthy eating I have ever read. Not to mention the easiest to read. The first part has scientific explanations that are engaging and easy to understand (I know-shocking, right?). Then come the hacks-wow! They’re easy to do and make it easy to improve your veggie intake. I have never felt that I would be able to give up sugar but after reading the Glucose Revolution I feel I can definitely lower my sugar intake and glucose spikes without totally depriving myself. If you have a sugar issue you NEED to read this book. It’s seriously life changing. Oh and make sure to follow the Glucose Goddess on instagram!

Jessie Inchauspe came to know so much about glucose and problems with regulating blood sugar the hard way. Rather than spend the rest of her life in brain fog, lethargy, and mood swings, she chose to dive deep into mastering complexities and translating them into easily grasped fundamentals and actionable approaches for the rest of us in living fuller, more robust, and healthy lives. With hand-drawn pictures and engaging stories, Inchauspe offers life-changing information in a way I will never forget. I received an early reader copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.
This is a fascinating fact based book on the science of how glucose affects our bodies and mind.
Jessie Inchauspe wore a continuous glucose monitor tracking what she ate and when she ate. After sharing her results on her Instagram( @GlucoseGoddess ) she found groundbreaking new science behind how we eat and what foods we intake . This is not a diet book. It is a study of glucose and how to control your blood sugar. It is information we all need on how to control our glucose which is critical to overall health, energy and well being. The tips and suggestions are easily incorporated into your meals and will benefit your health. I began eating my two cups of vegetables a night first, gave up all carbs at night and noticed a tremendous difference. I immediately lost 12 pounds after years of trying to lose weight. My blood sugar stabilized when following her suggestions . This works and I highly recommend this book for everyone who wants to improve their health. The author offers sound sensible nutrition advice . It is critical to understand how your blood sugar affects you and how what foods you eat affect you. This is a book I will give as a gift and refer to often. It is a very helpful useful guide to improving one's health.
Whether you're trying to follow a diet plan or changing your eating habits, this is a must read. To be eat healthier and change you lifestyle, you must first understand how glucose affects your body. It's not as simple as eating Keto, there are a lot of variables at okay. I'm still reading this, and even rereading parts. This is a must read! Packed with helpful information to help everyone live their best, healthiest life. Jessie writes in a very clear & concise way that breaks down the science of glucose and gives the reader actionable tips and advice on not only how to eat in ways help out bodies feel their best but also how to lessen any negative impact of eating the less healthy options and so much more. I will be gifting quite a few of these to loved ones. Highly, highly recommend.
If you are serious about your health, Jessie Inchauspe's Glucose Revolution is the book to read! The author gives advice and tips on how improve your health dealing with topics such as weight, sleep, food cravings, and energy by managing your blood sugar levels. This well-written easy-to-understand book is one that I will refer to often as I continue on my health journey!
This was a fascinating look at the science behind glucose, and how taking steps to control your blood sugar can improve your quality of life and help you lose weight. It's a little heavy on testimonials and I wish "diet books" would stop doing that. We're all individuals and nothing works for everybody. Testimonies are anecdotal, and not evidence but to the average reader, it presents as such. The book led me to her Instagram, which I actually found to be a better resource than the book.
