I already can’t wait for part 2! I got to the last page and kept pressing my kindle for more. Love following Ella’s story and what is happening with her dad resonates with me as I experienced the same with my parents when I was in my early twenties. I’m can’t wait to see what happens next and really hope Ella tells Wanda what she really thinks!
What a gorgeous book. This is the first part in a brand new four-part serial from Bella Osborne. Absolutely brilliant… I just wish I could give it more than five stars! Got me from page one and I couldn’t stop reading till I found out how it would end!
I loved it! I’m sitting here with a big smile on my face!
From seeing the cover of this book I instantly loved A Wedding at Sandy Cove.
Ella is a seamstress and she works in Frills, Frocks and Fairytales with her tiresome boss Wonda! Where she seems to do everything from Selling Wedding dresses to altering them to running the shop.
When Ella sets out to meet Stuart on a blind date everything changes. Kit comes into her life and everything in her life is turned upside down.
I laughed out loud lots of times reading part one and I’m still chuckling at the unicorn head.
High praise indeed for Bella and I can’t wait to read part 2.
Thanks to Avon and NetGalley for an ARC of part one of this very enjoyable book.
A brilliant read yet again by Bella Osborne.
It follows the story of Ella who works for Wanda a ‘taskmaster’ as a seamstress in a wedding dress shop. She has recently been dumped by her boyfriend so relies on her friends to pick her up and socialise but one of them has an imminent wedding which doesn’t help Ella’s feelings of being on her own. Her life takes a sudden turn when she meets Kit with his revelations!
I loved every page and cannot wait for part two of this book.
Ella loves her job in a bridal shop. She is a seamstress who ensures that the brides' chosen dress fits perfectly and is exactly what they dreamed of.
What Ella isn't so keen on is her boss, Wanda, who is rude and selfish and treats Ella badly. When her friend sets her up with a blind date, Ella isn't sure what to expect but she gets a bigger shock than she could ever have imagined.
This funny, warm story is a brilliant start to the series, the only problem is waiting for the next instalment. Perfect for fans of Holly Hepburn and Cressida McLaughlin.
Noooooo! I need the next part. The scene has been set, the characters introduced and many questions asked…. but I need the answers. What is Ella’s dad up to? Is Kit a good guy? Will Wanda get her comeuppance? Will Lucy survive the hen party?
This is set to be a real page turner and I wish I didn’t have to wait to read more. Part two can’t come fast enough.
Ella works in a wedding dress shop as a seamstress. Her boss Wanda is an absolutely horrible woman who belittles Ella at every turn.
Ella and Lucy are going to be bridesmaids for their best friend Brittany. Both agree that Ella has been bullied throughout her life.
Ella thinks her parents have the perfect marriage but after spotting her dad having dinner with a mystery woman while waiting for her blind date to turn up she is not so sure.
Enter Kit whose mother is the mystery woman. Can they come up with a solution to end the relationship? Can Ella stand up to her boss and strike out on her own?
What a fabulous read this was. I was gutted when it ended as I wanted to read on.
Wanda sounds a total nightmare boss and I really hope Ella stands up to her in the next part.
Thanks to Netgalley and Avon books for the ARC in return for an honest review.
Another brilliant book by Bella Osborne, absolutely loved it and was gutted it was only part one and didn't end. Lots of stories going on friendship, infidelity, work place bullying. Lots to keep you turning the page. Totally recommend
This is part one of a series of books which will make up A wedding in sandy cove so is only 84 pages long but, Bella Osbourne packs a lot into those pages. Ella is the central character in the story- a seamstress/dressmaker in a bridal shop, Her boss Wanda is an absolute witch, her dad is keeping secrets from her mum and all her friends are getting married - she is about to be a bridesmaid for the eighth time. She is a soft and gentle sole who is taken advantage of and needs to start saying no. In between working long hours and altering her friends choice of bridesmaid dress for her and another friend she is trying to find out why her dad is keeping secrets. The novella ends on a brilliant cliff-hanger ensuring the reader will want to read the next instalment.
A great start to the 4 part series! Can't wait to read the others!
I loved the character of Ella and am suitably intrigued to see where her story goes but not more so than Lucy's, one of her best friends.
I read this in an evening, perfect light entertainment which left me wanting more.
Part one of this four part book has set the scene for another lovely book by Bella. After all, we all love a wedding.
I enjoyed the beginning of Ella’s story and it was a very easy, quick read. Ella’s boss Wanda is a particularly unliveable character and the story is set up nicely for Ella to start her own business with the help of handsome Kit. Ella’s friends are also introduced in a way that I’m sure we’ll find out more about them in the next parts of the story. I was disappointed with how abruptly the part of the story ended and feel that to be a book it needed to be fuller or include more parts.
loved this book, I read it in one afternoon, it was hard to put down. it is the first part of a four part series, waiting impatiently for the next book
A good story, but note this is part 1 of 3. Wish it was all in one, as I want to see more. Three friends: Brittany, Ella and Lucy. This one focuses on Ella, who works as a seamstress for a mean bridal shop owner. A cliffhanger at the end, which cost a star in my rating, but eager to read the next part to see what comes next. Highly recommend this book and author.
A great start to the new Bella Osborne Sandy cove book. It is part 1 of the story. So you don't always get too much. But it really does leave you wanting more. It is so far really well written and enjoyable I already love the characters and can't wait for the next part.
I really enjoyed this book! It had me hooked from the first chapter, and kept me on my toes the entire time! I fell in love with the characters and the romance!
I'm a recent convert to Bella Osborne's work and I was delighted to have received this ARC of Part 1 of her new book which I really enjoyed. I instantly warmed to the character of Ella and the setting - a bridal shop - made it all the more enticing. I don't usually read books that are written in 'parts' and have to admit that I don't like the idea of having to wait for the next part so will probably wait until the full book is released to conclude what has begun as a fabulous book. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this pre release copy.
This was a light summer read which just makes me want Part 2 now. It was interesting and paced well, I like the characters too.
More, more I want more!
Thank you netgalley for this sneaky peak of a book. It’s great and now I’m desperate to read more. I suppose finding out whilst on an internet date that your dad is seeing another woman potentially would up end you. Working for a dire boss who walks all over you would also be the main problem in Kats life.
I can’t wait to carry on.
I enjoyed this book, even though it left me wanting more. It was nice just to get into Ella story but the now we have for wait for the second book.
