I loved this so much! I had never listened to an audiobook before and this was perfect to listen to while driving. Loved the smut especially since a hot firefighter was involved!

Give me allllll the smutttt. This is my first service/ firefighter romance and I didn’t love that aspect of it but other wise it was super good!

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Hot for You by Marie Harte was my last book of 2021, and man! We went out with a bang! Teasing and spicy, Hot for You is the perfect read to bust up a slump or just for some simple, hot enjoyment!
Marie Harte is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author. Marie has written over 110 books! Which, wow. That's amazing! And to think I want to read her backlog... Like me, Marie also enjoys a book and good cup of coffee.
Maggie is just trying to make it work for herself and her daughter. She is a single mom who is a teacher trying to make ends meet. One day while out and about, her daughter convinces her to pull over the car and save an abandoned puppy. The puppy is saved, but Maggie gets hit by a car. Thankfully, she's not seriously injured, but does need emergency care.
Reggie is a firefighter who just can't quite get over his last love. All his friends and family try to tell him that she was just using him for money, but he will hear nothing of the sort. That is, until he gets called to a hit-and-run and helps the beautiful Maggie.
Reggie visits Maggie in the hospital, which is NOT normal firefighter/EMT duties. They become close as he keeps Frank, the dog, with him until Maggie recovers. What starts as a guy just helping a girl out, turns into something much hotter.
Tatiana Sokolov, the narrator, did an amazing job. She was easy to understand and read the story with great inflection and passion.
I thought Harte's writing style was great. This is the third book in a series (which I didn't know) but could be read as a stand-alone! The spicy scenes and dirty talk were well written and not at all cringey, which I find to usually be a major problem for me and romance books. The pacing was great and there was just enough teasing to move the story and relationship along.
This was my first Marie Harte novel, but I am already looking into getting others - especially the first two in this hot firefighter series! I totally recommend if you like romance with steamy scenes a-plenty.

Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book was very spicy and I really enjoyed the spicy scenes. I wish there was more of a storyline to follow though. Even though I like the spicy scenes they seemed to be too many and not enough story. Saying that it was a cute story and an easy read.

I've read a lot of Marie Harte books, so I was really looking forward to this one. Is it a little formulaic? Sure. Is it still really fun to read? Absolutely! The dirty talk between the characters was super cringe, but other than that, the story was entertaining and engaging. I didn't love the way the narrator did Reggie's voice, but she otherwise did a good job. If you like hot fire fighters, cute dogs and children, and strong women, this is a good read!

This had the potential to be a good story and I may have enjoyed it more in a print or e-book form instead of audio. I was extremely uncomfortable listening to the sex scenes being read in different voices by one narrator.
I do wish there was a little more conflict earlier in the book and it took longer to resolve. The end felt a little rushed.
Overall, I enjoyed the story if not the platform.

Reggie is a firefighter who happens to meet a precocious little girl while doing a talk at the local library. Fast forward a day or two and he is on the scene when her mom is clipped by a car trying to save a dog. Reggie cannot get Maggie, the mom, out of his mind so he goes to visit her at the hospital. From there, the two dance around each other trying to get to know the other and while trying not to get too deep too fast with the little girl involved.
Opinion
Holy hot mess batman! This book is absolutely fabulous. I went in and was expecting a sweet character out of Maggie but boy did she turn vixen when the scenes got hot. Listening to the audiobook version, the narrator portrayed the sweetest little voice possible for the mom but then BAM! I was completely shocked by the words coming out of her mouth. It was so good. I totally did not see that coming.
I have to say that my favorite part was the running joke of the daughter. She, in all innocence, asked a question way too advanced for her little ears. That question kept coming up over and over again. It was perfect.
This book is part of a series but the first one I have read. I had no problems following along. I will be going back and putting the first two on my TBR (which is massive at this point.) I've definitely found a new author to follow.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this audiobook.

OMG! I love a hot firefighter and especially one who loves kids. Reggie is one H-O-T firefighter and he had just given a talk to young kids at school and met Emily who made quite the impression when his unit was called out on a hit and run and it turned out to be Maggie who was hit by a car. Maggie is Emily's mom and she Reggie have all sorts of chemistry but Reggie has been hurt before and does not want to get burned again by a mom and her daughter. These three make a great family if they can keep the drama of his past from coming back.

When Firefighter Reggie Morgan is called to the scene of an accident he is not thinking that he might actually find someone that he might be interested in. He is solely focused on saving the woman involved plus her bonus daughter and a very ugly stray dog. This book gets hot fast. Soon he is helping her with her daughter and household chores while dog sitting they ugly dog. Quickly they find themselves in each other’s arms in a passionate romance.
The narrator was great in this. Pulling off macho Firefighter voices without a hitch. Plus making the loves scenes hotter than anything I have ever read or listened to.

Firefighter Reggie Morgan is a truly nice guy that can be a pushover when it comes to damsels in distress. His need to be needed takes over more often than not and when he's called to assist at an accident site and finds the little girl who stomped him with questions at his latest school appearance, he knows he is in trouble. Maggie isn't looking for love, but the hunky firefighter her daughter and unexpected new pet keep calling over makes her reconsider her plans. Together Reggie and Maggie can set the world on fire, but will they survive their pasts and Reggie's relentless nice guy tendencies? For me, Maggie's little girl totally steals the show. She is smart, opinionated and so funny she makes this romance a laugh-out-loud comedy. Besides that, the whole fire-fighting squad deserves props for their antics and good humor.

This was just ok. The child was cute and the hero was good. I think this was lacking the romantic spark between the characters. There wasn’t really any conflict or plot to the story either.
The writing was fine and the narrator for the audiobook was good.

Book 3 in the Turn Up The Heat series
Reggie like Maggie and her daughter Emily, but is afraid of getting hurt again. He also fears he is repeating past mistakes by getting involved with a single mom. Should he resist? Can he resist?
So the best part of this book is Emily and the baby seeds. It had me literally laughing out loud more than once. I found the last 1/4 or so extremely frustrating. I did not like the direction the story went.
I listened to the audiobook. Tonya Eby is narrating under the pseudonym Tatiana Sokolov, which she uses for more explicit books. While I've listened to many books by her before, this series is the first time I've listened to books read under her pseudonym. I always associate her with quirky, so it is a bit strange, lol. I always enjoy her narrations, but my brain had a hard time pairing her voice with the content. She does a great job as always- it was just a strange combination for me.

Hot for you. An adult fireman romance. Reggie is the perfect fireman. Maggie Mae and daughter Emily This is a funny rolic romance

This was a fun and steamy dual perspective romance between a big-hearted firefighter and the single mom he rescues. Throw in an adorable kid, a puppy and some rock hard abs and this was the perfect sexy listen about two strong independent characters you can't help but want to cheer for. Great on audio too. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advance listening copy!

This is a fun spicy book! I listened to this book via audiobook. It is a classic romance novel with some amazing graphic sex scenes in it. There is some swearing in it so if you dont like reading/hearing swearing along with sex this is not the book for you. I like that the main characters have strong personalities. A single mom is with her younger daughter, the daughter sees a puppy on the side of the road so they pull over to get said puppy. while parked they get hit by another vehicle. The fireman on the scene falls for the mom. While she is in the hospital recovering the fireman takes care of the puppy because he also volunteers for a animal rescue organization. Little by little they fall for each other and have amazing mind blowing sex. Then the daughter goes to stay with her dad for three weeks and while shes visiting her dad the firemans exgirlfriend comes back to try to get back with him. She is keeping him from his new girlfriend. in the end everything works out and they get to live happily ever after.

This audiobook was sweet, sexy, and at times funny. I've not read/listened to a book by Marie Harte before but I enjoyed her writing.
Reggie's hotness and Emily's cuteness made the book for me. The steamy scenes weren't too steamy but enough to keep romance readers happy.

3/5 ⭐️s
I can’t think of a book I’ve been more “Eh, it was fine,” with than this one. Overall, there’s not a single thing wrong with this book. The plot, while a bit too instalove for my taste, was fine. Reggie, Maggie, and Emily were adorable. The angst was founded and didn’t overwhelm the romance…
But, I kept finding myself not wanting to turn the audiobook back on to finish it. This may just be a book that others will enjoy but just wasn’t for me.

This listen will have you hooked till the end.
Hero is Reggae. Heroine is Maggie.
Love how Marie Harte wrote a hero who loves to help people and the heroine who slowly falls for him . Slowly Reggae let’s his past take over his present, he just doesn’t know how to say NO . His ex knows that her little girl will pay the way for him to take advantage. How and when does Maggie put her foot down .
Tanya Ebay performance is and walkways is fantastic . Her voice is smooth and strong expecially her male voice

The title of the book isn't wrong when it says HOT. It does have a lot of spicy scenes and the characters have sexual chemistry. I loved seeing the female character being so comfortable in her sexuality and taking control of situations.
That being said I found the story to fall flat. The dialogue was a but cringy, the main characters weren't that interesting, and the conflict could have been avoided if the guy had a little bit of self respect.
The daughter and neighbors were hilarious and I did love them so the book was overall entertaining but not something I would reread.

This was my first book by this author. It was definitely just okay. I was super bored after awhile and had trouble finishing to the end. The little girl was cute, and I did like the hero and heroine. There just wasn't a whole lot of conflict and not a lot to keep me reading. The writing was fine, and I really love the narrator. Huge thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this audiobook.
