Protect Me Not by Natasha Anders is a Feel Good Romance and I Loved the chemistry between Victoria and Ty. A Good Story with romance and you are in for an enjoyable read.
A Must read.
Protect Me Not was a fun, intriguing and sensual romance with the heat turned up and burning up the pages. The chemistry between the main characters, both the good and the opposing banter, makes you as a reader root for them even more. I like how both characters also are developed individually too, which provides context to their personalities and them as people with their own lives and characteristics. I had a great time reading through their journey’s.
Such a fun take on a bodyguard romance. Natasha Anders does a great job creating characters that readers can root for. So much fun to read the push and pull. There was so much chemistry between her characters.
Thank you Author Collective 20, Indie and Negalley for this almost dreamy romance. I have enjoyed every single page. So lovely personalities and gourgeous feeling that come out.
This was just okay for me. I didn't love it, I just couldn't find a rhythm for it and struggled with trying to stay focused on the story.
I really loved this book!
It was well written with a great storyline and superb attention to detail.
The characters were off the charts - I loved how their personalities came out and developed as the book progressed.
It was a romantic and sexy read and it is honestly the best book that I have read in a long time - I loved every page and it was a pure delight to read from cover to cover
No hesitation, it is 5 stars from me, very highly recommended!
An edge of your seat, emotionally thrilling journey from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this action packed and thrilling adventure filled with witty and exciting charters, heart racing twists and undeniable passion.
This one was a lovely read. I really enjoyed reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me
Natasha Anders has been a bit hit and miss for me in the past and it took me a few attempts to get into Protect Me Not but once I got into it I enjoyed it. It was a sweet and easy read. Romance was good, characters were decent but it felt it lacked a little bit of oomph.
This book took me a while to get through. Not sure if it’s to do with the length or that it was quite slow in parts. I made it though and as expected, girl changed boy! It was an enjoyable book to read, if not predictable.
Who doesn’t love a good bodyguard romance?! I really loved this book and devoured it super quickly. I was very invested in the characters that the small details that didn’t quite add up didn’t bother me. I can’t wait to read more of Natasha Anders!
While part of a series this book can be read as a standalone. This book was long. Too long. The story was bogged down with too many irrelevant details. I don't see how this couple would last. The relationship felt forced and I didn't find it believable. This was a miss for me.
I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved the premise of this book, all the characters and the storyline. Cant wait for the author to bring out more in this series!
The only down side for me was that it felt dragged out and took far too long to read
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher/author for providing me with an e-copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book was exactly what I wanted it to be! I loved it. I will make sure to check out other books by this author. When I requested this I was just intrigued by the concept of it and I loved how it turned out. This story had a great plot and if you have read this and enjoyed it, This was so much. It was such a great story. I would say give this one a try. I will continue to follow this author. Way to go to this author for not letting me down.
A great quick romantic read.
an unlikely pairing as differences attract.
I really enjoyed reading this book, light hearted and fun.
3.5 stars.
Some temptations are just not worth the complication.
Victoria Hollingsworth does not need a surly, uncommunicative bodyguard cramping her style, following her everywhere, and intimidating any would-be male callers. She's a florist for goodness sake, not a princess or a pop star. Having a massive, mysterious bodyguard always hovering is an inconvenience. And yet... there he is, Tyler Chambers, her unwanted protector, ultra-serious, no-nonsense, and off-the-charts hot. Vicki doesn't want, or need, him as a bodyguard. Yet, disturbingly, he may be everything she wants, and needs, in a man.
Ty hates his current long-term assignment. It's mind-numbingly tedious. Vicki Hollingsworth is a pain in the butt who talks too much, laughs a lot, and frequently tests his patience. And her life isn't exactly filled with intrigue and action. Ty is ready for this job to be over. He has a couple of months left before reassignment. So close to being out of here he can taste it. The last thing he needs is to suddenly find his cute-as-a-button charge irresistibly attractive. She's not his type. Wholesome, adorable, and sweet, Vicki is the kind of woman who needs long-term commitment. And all Ty has to offer is a few short weeks of far-from-wholesome pleasure.
How much chaos can one little florist introduce into his regimented life? Ty is about to find out.
My thoughts:
This book was way too long at 528 pages. It took me forever to read and it was too slow and drawn out. But I did like it in general. It was a good story. I liked the characters, even though there was too much back and forth, seemingly in an effort to draw the story out. Still, the writing was good and I may read more from the series in the future.
I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. So, we have Vicki who has this brother who is super protective of her and overreacts and hires a bodyguard for her, I mean a year is pushing it. Tyler is a pro, and he does is job very well, always on always making sure things are as they should be. Then temptation occurs between Tyler and Vicki, but Tyler comes with conditions and Vicki agrees to them, of course she, I swear it sounded at times like a business arraignment, but will it stay that way
Dnf at 18%.
Not my usual style of book but wanted to try giving something new a go.
I have went for the average rating of this book as I cannot fully review and would not like to mark down.
First up, thank you thank you for allowing me to read this book~ It sounded up my alley, but sadly it just didn't work out that well. The writing style just wasn't my cup of tea, plus I was pretty put-off on the reasons of the security dude and also found him quite petty and annoying. Every little bit it seemed he wanted to control. I mean, she is not the fucking queen or whatever. Does she really need 24/7 protection just because someone robbed her store once? Yes, it is terrible. But this is just ridiculous. And it didn't work for me. That first chapter.. holy hell.. :| I pushed through because I want to give a book, well an ARC specifically, at least 10% before DNF-ing. But it didn't get better. Happy that at least Vicki seemed to be a different girl than we saw in the beginning, but Ty was just a mom. :|
I had a really good time with this book. It is a multi-perspective, bodyguard romance. It follows Victoria, who owns a flower shop in London. After several break-ins, where one leads to an assault on Victoria, her older brother hires a bodyguard for her - Ty. Ty feels like this is a boring assignment - until it is not! It tasks a bit - but the slow burn turns into true love. This was a good story to read!
