I have read all 8 of the Hope Harbor novels in this clean Christian fiction romance series. I feel like each book keeps getting better and better!

Although Christi and Jack have an unfortunate ending to their relationship many years ago;, they are later reunited in Hope Harbor. Both are reluctant to believe the other person has changed and are hesitant to pursue a friendship.

I loved reading how the characters grew during this story, especially Christie as she gets to know the community and gets a second chance in life. Of course Charley, his taco truck, and the seagulls are mentioned throughout the story. He is one of my favorite characters in this series!

This sweet family story includes themes like Love, forgiveness, second chances, grief and patience. Highly recommend!!!! I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Delightful Christian fiction read. Could be read as a standalone.

I'd rate it PG for kissing and mention of a child out of wedlock, although explicit details are withheld.

Seaglass Cottage by Irene Hannon is book 8 in the Hope Harbor series. I just love Hope Harbor! We all need a cozy place like this, where hurting people find healing and each other. Where Charlie’s fish tacos and his sea bird friends make things better. I particularly loved this story and how the couple has a prior history. Great book! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Reading Hannon's contemporary romance series is like taking a trip without needing to pack! Hannon creates a town we all want to visit with memorable characters, a realistic storyline, faith elements, and a clean romance.

Can't wait for the next book in this series!

I don't know how Irene Hannon keeps all of her stories straight! She moves smoothly between some of the most gripping romantic suspense books I've ever read, and contemporary romance books that make me want to find Hope Harbor and move in. It's crazy!

Sea Glass Cottage is book 8 in Hannon's Hope Harbor series, and EVERY BOOK has been, by turns, a tear-jerker, a warm fuzzy, and a sweet, gentle romance. I've come to love the characters that carry on from book to book, including the mated pair of sea gulls, Floyd & Gladys. There's also the taco vendor/world-famous artist that brings a touch of almost magical insight to every book. I don't know how many more Hope Harbor books Hannon has in her, but I do know that I'll be buying every one of them.

Sea Glass Cottage qualifies as a second-chance romance, as the two main characters dated secretly after high school. Secretly, because he was the family gardener/landscaper, and she was the family "princess", too spoiled and wealthy to see what she had when she had him. When her fortunes change and she needs help, her first thought is of the boy she devastated way back when. He's a New York Times best-selling author now, and she is a waitress, trying to scrape together money to help her best friend buy her dream restaurant. Can she convince him that her changes are more than skin deep, and that she's not the girl that hurt him?

This trip to Hope Harbor was every bit as beautiful as the seven trips before this. If you see Irene Hannon's name on the cover, you can't go wrong picking up the book. I've been reading her books for a long time, and I can't name one that was less than a wonderful read. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for a book full of hope, Christian themes and a little bit of romance, then this book is for you.

Sea Glass Cottage is the 8th book in Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbour series. And just like the rest of this series, this book is fantastic. I loved the multiple storylines and how each storyline is full of God’s grace and mercy and a great reminder for us to show that same grace and mercy to those around us.

I love stories that are full of Christian themes. I know for a fact, that this book is going to help someone. I love that fiction can speak to us, sometimes more than non-fiction can.

If you haven’t read any of this series, I definitely recommend grabbing one of the books today. All books can be read as standalones, but I am sure you will love the whole series.

Hope Harbor is one of those places you want to visit over and over again. You can feel the sand in your toes and feel the breeze from the moment you arrive. Once again, Irene Hannon has captured the heart of the healing power of being on the Oregon Coast.
Christi is a compelling character who, when she arrives, arouses a few suspicions for her motives. You are kept guessing for a while and soon, you have become her champion. Life has its twists and turns and what you do to recapture your life depends on the choices you make. This is a story of forgiveness and second chances for Christi.
I couldn't help but feel for Jack. He was a man who overcame poverty and loss only to have his heart ache for long ago hurts he thought he put aside. His life is overturned and it is Christi who comes to his aid. He risked a lot to allow her to help him. In the end, it all works out and once life in Hope Harbor settles in for the calm after personal storms. I recommend this for all who long to be at the ocean and love to read about endearing characters.

I love Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbor contemporary romance series for many reasons. First and foremost is the community that Hannon has created. Set on the Oregon coast, the small town of Hope Harbor is a place I like to visit again and again. Its quaint shops, beautiful scenery, and endearing permanent residents have become like a real place. Favorite characters from previous books make occasional appearances in each successive novel, while new characters add depth to the town. In her newest book, Sea Glass Cottage, newcomer Christi and resident policeman Jack are the main focus of the story. They had a previous relationship that soured Jack and created shame in Christi. Their story of forgiveness and second chances is heartwarming. But Hannon always adds another plot thread that reinforces her message and compliments the main story line. I loved all the characters introduced in this book, and think it may be my favorite of the 8 novels to date. Although, I almost always say that. LOL!

If you haven’t read any of the Hope Harbor books, don’t despair. Sea Glass Cottage can be read as a standalone. But why would you want to when there are so many wonderful stories in the series? For those new to the series, I recommend starting with book 1. Binge reading anyone?

Recommended.

Audience: Adults.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to read and review this book. I love the premise of the golden girl and the boy who just can’t seem to get away from her, full review to follow here and on my blog.

Christi Reece is desperate. The one-time golden girl's life has tarnished, and a cascade of setbacks has left her reeling. She needs help, and she's certain Jack Colby is in a position to provide it.

When she shows up in Hope Harbor, however, Jack wants nothing to do with the woman who betrayed him. He's built a new life on the Oregon coast--and there's no room in it for Christi, even after she takes refuge in a charming but mysterious cottage nearby. Yet it soon becomes apparent his opinion of her may need revising . . . especially when he ends up needing her help.

Can these two hurting souls make peace with their past and open their hearts to a new beginning?

Come home to Hope Harbor--where hearts heal . . . and love blooms.

Bestselling and award-winning author Irene Hannon delivers another heartwarming and romantic story set in the enchanting seaside community of Hope Harbor that is loved by readers the world over. Once you visit, you'll never want to leave.

I was so ready to return to Hope Harbor and what a sweet story to come back to town for! Christi and Jack's past gave them a lot to work through, but in the end, faith brought them together again and for good this time. Another great thing in this book was the story of Beth and Steve - then with Noah blended in. Every town needs a Charley like Hope Harbor. For me, Hope Harbor is right alongside Bloomington in the Kingsbury novels! Irene Hannon is absolutely one of my favorite and go-to authors. She can write romance or mystery - I will be on the lookout for her next installment! I will definitely be recommending this book to my reader friends!

My thoughs: Sea Glass Çottage is number 8 in the Hope Harbor series by Irene Hannon but it easily stands alone. Fans will want to read all the books in the series especially to meet Charlie who seems to know all. The cottage sounds absolutely beautiful and I would have loved to seen it in person. The characters are realistically developed with real life problems that they had to work through. The book started a little slow but it quickly picked up the pace and I did not want to put it down. If you like romance you will love these books the series. I highly recommend this one and all of them… I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

This is a second-chance romance in spades…TEN years have gone by and the split was not a good one. But, this is a novel of healing and (as mentioned) second chances. Christi needs Jack’s help. Me- I wouldn’t even have thought of asking Jack, but then there wouldn’t be this sweet book to read, right? Sit down in your comfy spot, and have your tea and a box of tissues ready. You’ll want both!

This is the continuation of the Hope Harbor series that are fantastic. I love to read about past characters in these books and of course Charlie is one of my favorite characters in the series. This book focuses on Christi and Jack. Christi’s life has fallen apart and she is trying to pick up the pieces. She comes to Hope Harbor to find Jack for a favor. As they each try to be more accepting of one another, they learn how to forgive. This story is all about second chances and how to learn to be at peace and trust one another. I highly recommend this story and know you will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

Revisiting Hope Harbor,Oregon is such a delight. It is a true homecoming to this charming coastal town where the characters are always welcoming and more than willing to lend a hand or an ear when needed.
Christi Reece is a woman out of options, owing money she doesn't have she desperately tracks down a man from her past sure he can help her.
Author Jack Colby has made a new start, far away of the humiliation caused to him by Christi in what feels like a lifetime ago. Getting a shock he realizes she has tracked him down here and he wants no parts of her or the past memories of their failed romance.
What ensues is a surprise to both of them I'd say. She unfortunately has to stay in town longer than she had wanted to.
I really enjoyed making the reconnection with the characters from previous books, especially the "taco guy" who always has a kind word and good advice to pass along.
Christi wants Jack to forgive her for the past and for him to put his trust in her. As he starts to rewarm to her he enjoys her company more and more but will it lead to a romantic reconnection?
So heartwarming, I enjoyed seeing down on her luck Christi get another chance at a better life.
There was a bit of a mystery surrounding an unfinished cottage and this had a fitting resolution as well. Superb book and I look forward to more books in this warm and engaging series.

My review: I enjoyed another visit to Hope Harbor and reconnecting with previous characters. This book had two stories rolled into one. Christi and Jack and Beth and Steve. Christi was a spoiled rich brat when Jack first met her. But he still fell in love with her. When she broke his heart, he went as far away from her and made something of himself. He became a police officer and a famous writer. Christi became destitute and in need of money. Which Jack has. Jack has to learn forgive Christi and also see if he can trust her with his heart again. Jack has a surprise dropped on his doorstep and then he needs Christi's help.

Beth and Steve have to overcome a tragic experience in their lives. Beth has to forgive Steve. Steve has to forgive himself.

Forgiveness is the main theme in this book. I recommend this book to all.

I was given this book by Revell Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

Another winner by Irene Hannon! I would love to visit Hope Harbor some day. I believe this is book #8 and I am so glad she is continuing to take us to this lovely place. Christi and Jack have a bumpy history, but when Christi comes looking for something from Jack, will he be able to forgive and help her out? You won’t be disappointed in this special read.

Another great return to Hope Harbor book. This is my favorite small town USA destination on the Oregon coast. I feel like we are checking in on family members. Charley the taco truck chef who just happens to also be a famous artist. Father Murphy and Reverend Baker, two of the sweetest and funniest clergy you will ever meet. We can not forget our resident two sea gulls, Gladys and Floyd. Like any great story the characters are not perfect but you root for them and love them anyway.
I want to thank Revell and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this wonderful book. The opinions in this review are my own.

Christi has lots of regrets, perhaps none stronger than the words that sent Jack away. Ten years later, her life has fallen apart and she's trying to put it together again - but she needs money that only Jack can lend. Jack has been doing a good job of putting Christi's betrayal behind him - or so he thinks, until he sees her again. She claims to have changed, but it'll take a lot to convince him of that. Christi didn't plan to stay in Hope Harbor, but it welcomes her from the start and one door after another opens before her. Could it be that the door she most regrets could reopen? Jack's life has suddenly grown complicated - could Christi be the answer as well as part of the problem, if he will only open his heart again?

This was my first visit to Hope Harbor, but I very quickly decided I don't want it to be my last! The characters were delightful, the story touching, the setting charming and the writing expert. I was drawn into the story from the first page and it held my interest throughout. I was at once very satisfied with the ending and sorry to be finished. I particularly appreciated Christi's patience in waiting while she worked to regain Jack's trust. All in all, I'll definitely be looking out for more by the author and I'd highly recommend this to lovers of heart-warming romance.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
