Sea Glass Cottage, Irene Hannon’s latest Hope Harbor novel, offers another heartwarming romance.

I love anything Irene Hannon writes, whether romance or romantic suspense. But I especially love her Hope Harbor books.

Sea Glass Cottage provided yet another escape into the idyllic town. With the usual characters like Charley and plenty of cameos from past books, Hannon keeps that homey feel. But the new characters she introduces hold their own amidst her colorful cast. Jack and Christi, as well as the subplot characters, captured my interest from the beginning.

I love the second chance romance this novel provides and the faith arcs about forgiveness and God’s mercy. Hannon weaves that arc so beautifully through the book that it’s subtle and not at all preachy.

Overall, Sea Glass Cottage is a beautifully written tale of second chances that romance fans will love.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Jack and Christi meet again after years apart. Christi is looking for a big favor from Jack but as she expected their reunion wasn’t ideal. Jack has doubts about Christi’s true intentions and questions her remaining In Hope Harbor. After all, what could she be hiding?
Beth offers Christina a job but soon Christi realizes Beth may be hurting in ways as well. Beth and Steves relationship is on the Rocks but can they find their way back to each other?
This story is of redemption, mistakes, forgiveness and healing, a foster child, an unknown child and restoration.
Great read!

“As my abuela used to say when I was a boy in Mexico, coincidence is nothing more than a small miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous.”

Charley, his tacos, and his timely wisdom are back in Irene Hannon’s eighth Hope Harbor novel, Sea Glass Cottage. It is no coincidence when Christi Reese arrives in Hope Harbor to find Jack Colby and ask him for a loan. The glitch? Jack hates Christi and she deserves it. She broke his heart and threw him under the bus long ago; never mind the heartbreak and shame that have shaped her into an altogether different person. All Jack knows is that Christi has invaded the sanctuary of his new life. Then again, the invasion of the girl who hurt him terribly so long ago pales in comparison to learning that one error in judgement ten years ago has come back to him in the form of a daughter who now desperately needs her father.

Charley’s insights are not reserved for Jack and Christi as they learn to heal beyond the hurt. He is full of sage advice and some overt nudges as Beth Adams begins to gingerly try on the idea of shedding her anger with her husband, Steve. Still reeling from their teen son’s sudden death, anger with Steve for failing to embrace their boy’s passion and for pushing him to be someone different has been the armor that kept Beth upright through her grief. Coincidence is the small miracle that brings a very special little boy into Steve’s life and opens the door to reconciliation with Beth. And frankly, if Noah doesn’t make you want to go hug every special kid in your life, you need to check your pulse.

Bringing back characters we’ve grown to know and love, as well as introducing us to some new ones, Irene Hannon brings home another great Hope Harbor novel. Check out Sea Glass Cottage to see how coincidences work to nudge our characters toward the miracles God has in store for them.

Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me a copy to read and review. All opinions expressed here are my own and are completely genuine.

I always enjoy returning to Hope Harbor. It sounds like such a wonderful place to live! As expected, Sea Glass Cottage is a feel good story that also contains two second chance romances-one of my favorite tropes.

Christi and Jack are the main characters of this story. I really liked them both, but I felt their chemistry was lacking and that the romance was pretty nonexistent- until it wasn’t. I really liked Steve and Beth and how their story concluded. And, as always, Charley really added to the story.

Sea Glass Cottage is the 8th book in the Hope Harbor series, but each story can easily be read as a standalone. I do feel you will get more out of this story if you read them all because there are recurring characters.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. The faith thread is light.

Once again readers are back in Hope Harbor with Sea Glass Cottage by Irene Hannon. Not only is the town charming but the residents are as well, especially Charlie the taco guy. Who always seems to know the right advice to give at the right moment? I loved visiting with some of my favorites in this one, but I also loved meeting Jack Colby and Christi Reece, these two share a past. Jack's not ready to forgive her, and Christi's' determined to prove she's changed. But when another surprise shows up from Jack's past that leads them to work together might just be the thing that brings them back together.

I love Irene's contemporary's more than I do her suspense because not only does she create life like characters she creates towns that you just want to visit. What I love the most about Irene's books are the faith content throughout the story as well as the happy ending at the end. You just don't know how you’re going to get there even with her Contemporaries. She doesn't shy away from the hard stuff. And I for one was happy to hear that we are getting at least three more Hope Harbor books. Yay. I hope you enjoy Christi's and Jack's story as much as I did.

Another hit in the fan favorite Hope Harbor series adds new characters while keeping several favorites in this charismatic novel!

Christi Reece has come to Hope Harbor in a last-ditch effort to get help from the last person she never thought she would be asking for help and can only pray Jack Colby will listen to her. They have a past and not a good one, Christi broke his heart and he left wanting to never see or hear from her again. Shortly after she arrives, the tables turn and Jack ends up needing her help. In the town that heals hearts, there is hope that Christi and Jack can come out of this making peace with their past and find a new beginning.

Normally contemporary romance is not my favorite genre, but there is something about the Hope Harbor series that I love. It is a fun, fast read with great characters reoccurring and new with each book that readers will love. Of course, Charley is always a fan favorite that comes back around in each book and helps all those that come to the town with their troubles. In some ways Charley is like the guardian angel for the town who knows everyone and what they need at the right moments. I really liked Christi and the growth seen in her, even if it was a little out of order, I would have liked to have known what happened to her to bring about the change a little sooner. Other than that, the story played out nicely with the interactions between characters enjoyable and natural. The nice thing about this series is that each one is individual and yet they work together so well. This is the eighth book in the series and I don’t see it stopping any time soon. I foresee much more from Hope Harbor and I will be around to read it. I recommend this series to anyone that enjoys a fun and fast contemporary romance that will make you want to whisk away to a quiet little beach town to find love.

I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.

Welcome back to Hope Harbor. I have read quite a few of the books in this series and have enjoyed them all. They can be read as stand-alone novels, but do have some repeat characters in each book.

Sea Glass Cottage focuses on Christi and Jack. There is also a pretty heavy thread with Steve and Beth. Both are second chance romances. The story flows smoothly and is a quick read.

There are some surprises in the story, but other parts toward the end are predictable.

I have mixed feelings about this book and am not sure what to say. I think it is my least favorite of all the Hope Harbor books that I have read. In some ways, I felt like there were no new ideas presented, but in other ways, I felt that some of our favorite repeat characters had changed. Charley seemed to be in more places than he had in previous books, and more serious. I also felt there were too many coincidences.

I am glad I read it and will continue to read more (expected 3 more) in this series.

Thank you to Net Galley and Revell for the opportunity to read Sea Glass Cottage. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is book #8 in the Hope Harbor Series

It was so good to be back in Hope Harbor again! It's like a wonderful vacation spot that you enjoy coming back to year after year!

There are so many characters in this book that I just adored! Charley is the taco stand owner and dispenser of wisdom. He also has the ability to always show up just where he is needed. Noah is an 11 year old boy in the foster care system who has a knack for art. I love how the community rallies around him.

The story is a great testament of how you come upon challenges in life and how do you respond to them? Do you give up, keep going; forgive and forget?

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

What a pleasure to be visiting Hope Harbor again, catching up with old friends & meeting new ones. I especially appreciate hearing more of Charley’s sage words of wisdom – wouldn’t it be a treat to meet him someday? This is a very special community, & although this is a ‘stand-alone’ book – if you are new to the series, you are likely to want to catch up with the rest of it. It is kind of like visiting your holiday home (not that I’ve ever had one!), viewing familiar surroundings & at the same time catching up with what has changed in your absence. Peoples lives have moved on, families may have grown, businesses changed, all of which adds an extra layer of interest to the actual story. I’m already looking forward to the next instalment....

Irene always bring Hope Harbor to life for me. Jack and Christi have a complicated past. Christi was a rich party party girl. That is all in the past for Christi now she needs help. Jack has a quiet strength. Christi has some bad breaks that make her stronger and wiser. Christi comes to realize the measure of a person is in their heart. Christi realizes her past does not define her. I loved how they traveled a long road back to each other. I loved secondary story of Steve and Beth. The relationship between Jacks daughter Hannah and Christi is precious. One of my favorite lines is "Small acts of kindness can lift someone's spirits". This a wonderful addition to this series.

Deb’s Dozen: Two Couples, Both Separated by Tragedy, Who Find Healing in Hope Harbor
Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbor series ranks as one of my favorites. I’m inclined to start any of the novels with great anticipation. Sea Glass Cottage fulfilled my desires for another wonderful love story set in the peaceful seaside town. Favorite characters return—Charley, the resident taco chef, artist, and philosopher; the dueling clerics, Father Murphy and Reverend Baker; and, of course, the almost human seagull pair, Floyd and Gladys.

Christi Reece arrived in Hope Harbor hoping to find what she considers her last resort—Jack Colby, whose heart she broke eleven years before. Jack, now a policeman, could care less about Christi and wants nothing to do with her … or does he?

Beth Adams befriends Christi, who learns Beth also suffers a broken heart from the loss of her son and her estrangement from her husband, Steve. She hires Christi part time to work in her gift shop, Eye of the Beholder.
And then, as always, Charley enters the lives of both women … and both men, and life in Hope Harbor gets interesting for all four people.

Hannon writes the most interesting characters and invents the most interesting circumstances for them to be involved in. Having Hope Harbor for a setting adds to the charm of the star-crossed, but sun-blessed romances. Another five star read, and, as Irene would say …

Come home to Hope Harbor—where hearts heal … and love blooms

Irene Hannon is the best-selling and award-winning author of more than fifty novels. She is the seven-time nominee and three-time winner of the RITA Award from the Romance Writers of America (RWA) and is a member of the RWA Hall of Fame. Her Hope Harbor series complements her suspense/romances set of series.

Baker Books gave me access to a NetGalley copy of Sea Glass Cottage but in no way obligated me to write a review.

Sea Glass Cottage ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Christi Reece is not the same person she was eleven years ago, but Jack Colby isn't going to be easily convinced. The pampered life she once knew is gone, and she is desperate for help she believes Jack can provide. Will Jack and Christi move past the hurts of the past and find hope for the future?

It’s always refreshing to return somewhere familiar and that’s how it felt with the 8th book in Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbor series. It was relaxing to have a predictable outcome without the detours and misunderstandings that so often happen in novels like these. Sea Glass Cottage was a comfortable read with themes of forgiveness and restoration even in the midst of loss and past mistakes.

Irene Hannon writes enchanting stories, and this is no exception. A visit to Hope Harbor means reuniting with old friends and meeting new friends in a charming coastal town in Oregon. This is a story of heartbreak and second chances and community. Excellent writing, memorable characters, and great spiritual lessons combine with some laughter and some tears to make this a wonderful feel-good story you won’t want to miss.

Many thanks to Revell and Net Galley for offering me the opportunity to read this book. The opinions are my own.

I love visiting Hope Harbor. This time around, Christi Reece has found her way to this lovely little town in search of her old boyfriend, Jack, but not for the reasons he thinks. Jack settled in Hope Harbor to put the past behind him, but Christi's arrival upsets his quiet world, along with an unexpected surprise. Oh, and I love the cottage with windows made of sea glass-it's kind of a magical place. One of the things I enjoy about Hannon's series is the reoccurring characters in Hope Harbor, especially Charlie the artist and taco maker. Charlie is a wise sage and plays an encouraging part in a young person's life in this story. If you enjoy clean romance with a thread of faith, you'll love this series, including Sea Glass Cottage. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I've loved every single book in Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series! It's such a treat to go back there to visit time after time and I'm so glad there will be a few more books set in this special little town. I love books where the characters have a history together like Christi and Jack do. They are both hurting from their pasts but as they turn to God their lives are renewed. Charley, resident artist and taco maker, is one of my favorite characters in this series. His sage advise is always right on target!

I feel like you could jump in the series with Sea Glass Cottage if you run across it and haven't read the others, but it's so much richer if you know the rest of the story.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Returning to Hope Harbor feels like going home! This beautiful seaside town is the perfect place to escape to for a few hours in one of Irene Hannon’s beautifully written stories. Sea Glass Cottage is a fairly light read, but that doesn’t mean the characters don’t deal with some tough issues and tricky situations. Christi and Jack are both dealing with pain from their pasts - including pain they caused each other. In the secondary storyline, Beth and Steve are dealing with grief and regrets after the death of their son. Both second-chance romances will touch your heart and bring a smile to your face.

Long time readers of the series will love the appearances from fan favorite characters, especially Charley the taco artist and his seagull friends, Floyd and Gladys. Hope Harbor is the perfect place to find peace and hope, for characters and readers alike. Fans of Denise Hunter and Christina Suzann Nelson will enjoy this series!

Sea Glass Cottage is the eighth book in Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbor series. Former heiress Christi Reece has driven her old Nissan to Hope Harbor from Dallas for the sole purpose of finding Jack Colby, the man who’s heart she broke eleven years ago. Jack is now a bestselling author as well as a local police officer. Christi is no longer a self centered socialite, but someone who has lost it all and only has one thing in mind, how can she get the money her best friend Tasha needs to make her restaurant dream come true since it is Christi that cost her that money in the first place. Her last ditch effort is to see if Jack might loan her the money with guarantees of repayment with interest and her mother’s engagement ring as collateral.

Jack is shocked to see Christi and surprised by his own reaction. His initial thought is to say no and send Christi back where she came from. When he finds her squatting in the empty Sea Glass Cottage the following morning he listens to her story and sends in his report, again thinking she will soon be on her way.

A couple of days later when he discovers Christi still in town, back at the cottage, and employed by Beth Adams at Eye of the Beholder he is taken aback. But that is just the first of two big shocks for Jack in as many days.

This, as all other books in this heartwarming series, is a lovely story of second chances and the universe’s intervention. These stories have endearing characters and the magic of Hope Harbor is all around. Do yourself a favor and read this book, in fact the entire series. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

It has been eleven years since Christi Reece has seen and broken Jack Colby's heart. Even so, she is desperate for a loan, and he is her last hope. To say Jack is shocked when she shows up in his town of Hope Harbor would be an understatement. He makes it very clear he wants nothing to do with her. Defeated, she plans to head home the next day, but due to some unexpected happenings she decided to stay in Hope Harbor for the time being. This doesn't sit well with Jack. Is Hope Harbor big enough for the two of them?

The author has crafted a meaningful and delightful love story. Both Christi and Jack are complex characters. During their years apart, their lives took very different paths. Christi now is not the person she once was. No longer shallow and spoiled, she now has values and faith. Jack has constructed a life in which he feels he is in control of. Just one phone call shatters his illusion. Is there room for forgiveness? There is an endearing cast of characters, and they are all relevant.

The narrative is packed with small town charm. The strength of the story comes from redemption, compassion and new beginnings. This sensitive and heartfelt story is well worth reading. Highly recommended.

Sea Glass Cottage by Irene Hannon
Great contemporary Christian romance by author Irene Hannon.

This is the 8th book in "The Hope Harbor" series. I have to say that I haven't read the other books in this series. This is just me, but I feel like I need to start with the first book. I'd like to get to know the characters with each book.

Jack Colby and Christi Reece have a past and Jack doesn't want anything to do with Christi. Christi comes to Hope Harbor to find Jack because she is in need to money. Will Christi get the help she is desperate to get? Read to find out.

The book has such a lot going for it! The characters are so real and well written. You feel like you are among the characters. I wish I could live in Hope Harbor. Just the description the author gives is beautiful. This story has it all. It is heartwarming and realistic. You learning about forgiveness, faithfulness, and love.

Recommend - I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I will gladly recommend this book to family and friends and others through reviews.
