Brennen was a retired seal who ran a security firm with tow of his friends. While Brennen was at a bar looking for his normal one night stand hookup his drink order got mixed up with a lady at the bar. He went over to swap their drinks and they started talking. He was instantly attracted to Joy. Joy is such a smart and beautiful business woman and she agrees to the one night with the smoking hot Brennen. Joy is absolutely wishing that they could have more than one night because she started to develop something with him that she feels is going somewhere. Joy is absolutely shocked when she discovers that someone is targeting the users of her dating app. Their homes are being trashed and she is determined to figure out who it is and put a stop to it. She ends up at the security firm her friend recommend and was absolutely shocked to see Brennen walk in. They are going to be working close together until this is solved. Will they be smart enough to take this second chance meeting?

This is a good book. The two main characters are Joy and Brennan. Joy runs a dating app company and Brennan runs a security company. They meet one night at a bar and have a one night stand. Several months later Joy is having trouble and needs a security company. A friend recommends Brennan’s company. She goes there and sees Brennan. He listens to her about her troubles and says he will help her. There are several more issues, but they decide to use Joy as bait and catch the guy making all the trouble. Brennan and Joy declare their love and get married.

Leslie north is pretty much a one click author for me at this point, as I was fortunate to read most books in her series. This was another nice book to add to the series of the Sentinel's. Joy is the typical nerdy girl who developed a dating app. Illegal things happen during this time, which now she is bring brought into. Brennan is the security she hires to help her with this issue.

After reading the third part of the Sentinel’s series (Seal’s Pretend Family) before this second part, I knew that in this story Brennan would hook up with Joy.

But of course, I was still curious to read how they would meet and what their story would be. And it is a very interesting tale indeed. Joy is a nerdy girl. She has developed a kind of dating app, which is about to become a worldwide success. Lately, however, there have been some break-ins at subscribers of her app, while on their first date. Joy is convinced­ that this is no coincidence, but the police doesn’t seem to think so. Feeling responsible for all her app users, Joy hires Sentinel Security. Brennan thought the job would be fairly easy: check out some leads of break ins and determine if there is a link or not. He didn’t anticipate the business owner to be such a hot woman. Their attraction is undeniable and since both Brennan and Joy are looking for a long term commitment, they decide to have some fun. But then Joy’s house is targeted and burned down. Brennan offers her his place to stay. To keep her safe.

Together, with the help of Max (from Seal’s Beautiful Thief) and Shawn (from Seal’s Pretend Family), Joy and Brennan try to find the culprit. But then Joy finds out that she is pregnant… Brennan freaks out and flees. Can they work it out together? Or will Joy have to raise her child alone? Find out for yourself in this wonderful cosy read, full of suspense. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is the second installment of the Sentinel Security series and it focuses on the second of the three partners of the security company, Brennan. Brennan and Joy meet at a bar one night and are immediately attracted to each other and end up hooking up together. They both understand it is only a one night stand and don't even exchange phone numbers with each other. Brennan is more of a lady's man and doesn't believe in relationships, but something about Joy really sticks with him. Joy is a dating app creator and about a month later, she comes to Sentinel for help because people's houses are being targeted when they are out on dates. She believes the houses targeted are those who are using her app. The danger escalates when her house burns down. Brennan is determined to get to the bottom of the situation and protect Joy in the process. He might even lose his heart along the way. This was a suspenseful and interesting page-turner and I enjoyed the story. The characters were also well-defined and interesting as well. Looking forward to Book 3.

When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day.

SEAL's One-Night Stand is the second book in the Sentinel Security trilogy by Leslie North. This steamy romance can easily be read as a standalone book or as part of the trilogy.

I loved the action in the book! I love it when the main characters have to solve a crime or stop a crime from occurring! The suspense was awesome and the storyline was so engaging!

The characters were fascinating, with awesome chemistry, and were well developed. The romance was smokin'!

This book is a quick read that I could not put down! I can't wait to read the next book! I definitely recommend checking out this book!

It always gets me how a woman can be surprised when a man doesn't want to be a Father, when he tells her from the beginning that he doesn't want a relationship or family. Of course real life doesn't usually get their happily ever after. Lucky for us this if fiction, so happiness for everyone.

i absolutely live for books that are angst with a happy ending and this book was no exception.
