An old-school, rock-'em-sock-'em thriller with a straightforward narrative, crackling dialogue, and an aw-shucks hero who would have been played by Robert Mitchum back in the day or perhaps Michael Caine in a slightly updated incarnation.
I've heard a lot of people ask why publishers no longer publish books people actually want to read.
Sometimes they do. This is one of those books.

Bentley is always a must read year after year. This is one of the best series in the thriller genre.
