This was a rough go for me. It felt really slow through to about the second half. It picked up and redeemed itself in the end.

I really tried to enjoy this book, because I thought the plot was truly interesting. I love books about movies. But in this case, for some reason, I just didn't fall in love with the characters. I was getting distracted and annoyed easily, so I decided not to finish it. Maybe I should give it another chance in the future. I wish the best for the author, and for that reason I won't be publishing my review in public. I hope other reviewers can support him with more positive words.

Magnificent Read!!

What a captivating story in Audrey by Sean-Paul Thomas. I haven't read work from this author before, and I enjoyed this story. This author brings Audrey to life. It's a remarkably written title where it brings Audrey into a new life, with someone she just met. And it was probably just what she needed. Audrey is a raw and intelligent, and very likeable, especially with her wondrous flaws of hard drinking and chain-smoking. You could almost hear her smoker-induced raspy voice. Audrey meets Joe, who is definitely someone that could be bad news for Audrey, and she knows it, but takes the chance. This author has a great imagination. It is a very well-written plot, and I enjoyed it. It’s one of those embraceable stories. It’s definitely un-put-downable! This is a magnificent story that kept this reader turning the pages. This title is a definite attention grabber, so much I couldn't put it down. I was picturing a once-elegant woman, who let life hit her hard, and she was just someone who needed something. Masterfully written! This author not only tells the story but shows it with words as well. Audrey is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more books by this author. Audrey is definitely more than your typical romance!

Charming! I had no idea what to expect not being familiar with the author, and I was unexpectedly charmed. The protagonist is in definite need of a break . . . give this book a go!

It's hard to put into words how I feel about this book because of the many layers.
First I would like the mention the writing and how amazing it is. It is so easy to read this book and get loss in the worldbuilding and movie tangents. I could tell from the writing style that I was going to love this book in the first couple of pages and I was right. Sean-Paul Thomas makes it so EASY to fall in love with Joe and root for his success and reunion with his daughter. Joe is such a well developed character and I really enjoyed diving into his feelings and motivations behind what he does. His passion for writing is very admirable even as he learns about how hard it is to produce work in the real world. Audrey is a girl on fire. She talks like a heiress but has a dark past. Seeing their complicated romance blossom was a joy. They supported each other in a unique way but in the end it was what they both needed for their true aspirations.
Really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it!
