This is my all time favorite children's story. For anyone who hasn't read the original A. A. Milne version of Winnie the Pooh absolutely must. The narrator makes the story really fun with excellent character voices. Piglet's is a bit annoying, but Pooh is great and his songs are fun and sweet (which don't necessarily come across as well on the page).

This felt like the perfect bridge between watching the Disney version and reading the original which is now almost 100 years old! So silly and funny and wonderful.

Of course I grew up familiar with the stories of Winnie-the-Pooh. But I don't think I ever actually read the original text, so when I saw this up for review, I immediately requested it.

The stories are delightful, and the narrator was engaging and pleasant. This would be a great audiobook to put on for children at bedtime. I could even imagine myself falling asleep to it!

The new audiobook version of the classic story "Winnie-the-Pooh" by A.A. Milne is quite different than any other version I have heard previously. The narrator in this audiobook is very energetic and sounds less like a narrator and more like he is giving a first story account to a friend. This excitable conversational style approach to narration was a but off putting for me as a listener. However, young children might be drawn towards it and it does have the energy level that would fit in well with the younger generation. Overall, this adaptation to the audiobook format felt fresh, different and like it might draw in new listeners to a classic story.

Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Rabbit, Eeyore and Piglet have some wonderful stories to tell! From Pooh and his honey to Eeyore and his lost tail, these adventures are timeless.

Nothing like visiting your childhood friends all over again. That is what this audiobook did for me! These are such magical stories. Truly takes you on a trip to the hundred acre wood with all the characters and all the wonderful fun adventures.

Joel Froomkin did a fantastic job. I loved all the voices, except for piglet. I just thought piglet didn’t fit. But, he was spot on for all the other characters.

I received this audiobook from the publisher for a honest review.

Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, I love Pooh!! Nice audiobook, narrator seemed to OVER EMPHASIZED each word. Not nice to the ears, for me at least. So I can only give a four star review, sorry.

What a nostalgic listen. These characters are almost 100 years old now, but their fears and delights and longings still ring true to today's young kids. It had been so long since I'd heard any of these stories, but they came back to me as I listened, and I could picture the bits I'd seen in books, tv shows, and movies. That was delightful!

There were a couple of bits where the "you" being addressed was confusing. I think it was the listener, usually, but it was also Christopher Robin at times.

And when Christopher Robin uses his BB gun to rescue Pooh, who's floating away holding a balloon, I did cringe. Gun violence is all around, and it was just jolting to hear a gun in a story for young kids. Country kids would think nothing of it, but it could be frightening for kids who hear gunshots around their own urban neighborhoods on a regular basis and who know people who have been killed by guns.

Overall, though, a nostalgic and almost timeless blast from the past.

I listened to this book and it is terrific.
Winnie the Pooh was first read to me when I was 8 years old and living in London with my parents.
There is nothing like having it read out loud. This version is terrific with wonderful voices for Piglet, Pooh, Eeyore
and everyone. I suppose there is nothing to compare to having it read to you by a parent but this is a close second.
Bravo!

“You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think" - Christopher Robin

Winnie the Pooh has to be one of my most favorite children stories. While not a complete fan of the audiobook narrator, that didn't take away my love for Pooh bear. Being able to listen gives me the opportunity to enjoy a trip to the Hundred Acre Wood whenever I want, even if I don't have the time to sit and read for a few minutes.

Audiobook fans know what I'm talking about when I say I absolutely had to hear Joel Froomkin perform Winnie-the -Pooh! Piglet, Roo, Owl, Eeyore, adorable Christopher Robin, and everyone's favorite, Pooh Bear himself.

I know the narrator specifically from other genres, and he always delivers a solid performance. Well known, and highly acclaimed, for his variety of voices, Mr. Froomkin kept a smile on my face throughout the whole story.

This volume will be an excellent collection to libraries of folks from one to one hundred.

I love Winne the Pooh! I enjoyed this audible book but would probably prefer the book only because I love to look at the pictures. The narrator was wonderful and I enjoyed his accent.

This book gave me immediate flashbacks to my childhood! The original Winnie-the-Pooh (ad characters) is so much better than the disneyfied version (although I still like the Disney version). The characters are more than little stereotypes and A. A. Milne's writing style is so funny.

Since this was the audio version, I do want to say that the narrator, Joel Froomkin, did a stellar job! He gave each character a unique voice and really brought the story to life. I'm pretty sure Eeyore had a Scottish accent and I love that. I thoroughly enjoyed this version!

I would listen to this with my daughter (once she's a bit older). 5/5!

My children have listened to several Winnie the Pooh audiobooks and they enjoyed this version as well. The narrator was clear and easy to understand, and changed voices for the different characters. However, having become accustomed to the Disney animated character voices, this audiobook of the classic story was less captivating for the children. We have also listened to a different audiobook with famous actors narrating, and that was nice for the variety of voices. In this version there is only one narrator and we found ourselves wishing for more variety.

The story is told exactly as it is in the books and includes some stories that I don't remember hearing in other versions. It is very thorough and I think will be enjoyed by all ages.

There are those classic tales that you come across, that take you back to childhood, and all the magic that comes with it. I remember the tales of Winnie-The-Pooh as a child, and it always held a special place in my heart. This audiobook dramatically brought those feelings back, and I can imagine that children for years and years to come, will find this audiobook simply a brilliant delight, and will want to listen to the adventures of Christopher Robin and his caring friends over and over again. The narrator is superb, capturing all the funny aspects of the fun adventures these young friends have. Highly recommended.

My two boys (5&7) love listening to audiobooks at bedtime. We have a version of Winnie the Pooh on our regular rotation, however the version we owned is not my favorite narration. Due to this I jumped at the opportunity to preview this version of Winnie the Pooh with a different narration.

This new version narrated by Joel Froomkin is heads and shoulders above the other version. My son is also regularly choosing this new version and the stories within over the older version. We have listened to the whole book through together and he routinely asks to listen to specific chapters. I am going to be purchasing this version so that I have access to the chapter titles and can navigate easily each night.

I highly recommend this Dreamscape Media version of the age-old classic for any fans of Winnie the Pooh or anyone looking to try out audiobooks with young children in school or at home.
