This is a nicely written novella with a bad boy and a heiress – or at least a very rich girl, who knows that her family just won’t accept the bad boy.
The bad boy it turns out, despite his day job – which involves hard physical labour and thus builds some really nice muscles – finds time – [and money] to build himself a studio. A studio where he creates amazing pottery. But that has a really wonky door – which he likes, because it announces his visitors!
His pottery is somewhat unexpected and also the fact that he creates it bare chested. And thus, shows off just what those muscle can do… and our rich heroine just love those muscles – once she finds them.
Much heat and fun and sexy times ensue.
Fun and hot in many ways – think of the situation – American South, Pottery Kilns…!

A complimentary copy of this book was provided by NetGalley. Opinions and reviews are my own. Myles and Blair are hot, hot, hot! This is a romance that must be included on your book shelf. Myles does not let Blair's family treat her like a spinster any longer. He shows her that she is someone to be treasured. This is a perfect romance for us romance buffs.

When his art dealer, Blair, asks Myles to pretend to be her fake boyfriend for the holidays to get her parents off her back, he jumps at the chance. Myles has felt a little spark between them and hopes she feels it, too.

The Extra Myles is a quick, cute novella perfect for the holiday reading season. Myles and Blair gave fantastic chemistry and snappy dialogue. Great read to get you in the holiday romance mood!

I so wish this book had been longer, rather than a novella. I felt like there was a lot that could have been fleshed out more. Having said that, it was a great Christmas read, with all the humour, heat and hi jinx that you could wish for in a rom com! I’m looking forward to reading more from this new to me author.

Myles agrees to be Blair's boyfriend. Over time they get to know each other and feelings start to surface. Being younger than Blair, Myles has his work cut out for him to win her over. I enjoyed this novella. This was the first book by this author that I have read. I will be looking out for new books to read as this was a cute one that kept me reading.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book.

A very funny story that is the opposite of the fake boyfriend. Here Blair, a librarian, is looking to hire a man for a fake boyfriend but she wants him to be the worst boyfriend he could possibly be. Myles agrees even though at first he was hoping to be her boyfriend.
Once they begin to find out about each other they find that there is an attraction but he does not do anything about it because of the agreement. Blair at the beginning is also a little worried because he is younger than herself, though to Myles it is a non-issue.
When they leave Myles's truck and walk to the front of her parent's house he goes full-on bad boyfriend. Starting with having her carry her own bags and going in before her, then telling her he wants a sandwich as he is walking up the stairs. It just goes on from there with many funny moments and some heartfelt ones as well. You will have to read this good book to see if her plan is accomplished and what happens at the end. A very good book with really good characters.

I was very excited about this book after reading the blurb, but in the end was a little disappointed. Blair is definitely not as feisty as I (maybe mistakenly) thought she would be, which was a main drawback of the book. She's very timid and besides her recent jump from heiress to career driven, not a very well fleshed out character. She had a lot of potential that she just didn't live up to for me. Completely opposite to her is Myles. Here I think the author went a bit overboard in making him a "man's man" (save for the pottery). His introduction from his POV was a bit weirdly heavy on him focusing on how soon he should hook up again and in general there were some scenes about his inner monologue that made him unlikable. I was hoping the story would lean a bit more into him just liking to make art, instead of trying to make it seem macho.
What I did like was the overall tension of the book. From the get go it is very obvious that Blair and Myles have a ton of chemistry. Blair also gets to explore herself a bit more in bed, which I really liked. Still the follow-through of the sex scenes didn't really vibe for me, but maybe that's just me.
Overall a quick and steamy holiday read that had a lot more potential.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Netgalley ARC

A nice easy seasonal read for the holidays. Rich socialite meets working man artist and end up pretend dating for the holiday season, as you do!

This is a short and sweet novella with humor and steam and I really enjoyed it. The humor and heat were just what I needed after a tearjerker so I had a lot of fun with this story. Blair is an art dealer who needs a fake boyfriend to stave off her mom’s attempts to fix her up with awful guys. Myles is the artist who has the hots for her so he’s happy to do her the favor and even happier to realize she’s not the uptight socialite her thought as the week goes on. This is a fun HEA with loveable characters and a lot of heart.

I really enjoyed this book. I adored the character Myles. What a great hero for the story. I also liked Blair and really appreciated how far she had come in six months. This is a friends to lovers story that really felt true. Blair's mom is a real piece of work and I didn't like her at all. She had no redeeming qualities. I haven't read the first books in this series, but do plan to go back and do so. I am very interested in reading Myles' brother's story. 5 stars. Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy!

A quick little novella following to people from different world who ended up "fake dating". Best tropes all around in this story mixed in with a little spice and the Christmas theme makes this book a perfect December read!

He's blue collar factory, she's NY stilettos.

Myles is confident in his talents with women. Though I did like the contrast that he was a factory manager while being an artist.
Blair is his art dealer from NY. She's 27 and hiding out from her mother's matchmaking. She's money and unsure of herself.
Myles is attracted to her, but she's out of his league.
Until Blair asks Myles to be her boyfriend, you know. Just to cover for her.
Right.

Hot, Steamy, Sexy and unfortunately too short. Myles is an artist with his first big show on the way and Blair is the art dealer helping him out, but she has a huge favor to ask. He agrees to be her pretend boyfriend but from the second the two are on the page, their chemistry is undeniable.

I finished this in one sitting, it was too good.

Open up and fall in love with Myles! Blair comes to ask a favor and all kinds of discoveries and feelings are exposed. There's a ton of humor and enough steam to melt your kindle! I really loved the dynamic between these two. And Blair's world.... ugh! I've wanted to slap a character before but these people take the cake! Except Freddie. Everyone needs a Freddie in their lives. Sexy steamy romance with a whole lot of heart.

ehh i am going to say this book was a me problem and not a you problem. I think i may be over the enemies to friends to lovers trope. It also didnt work as a novella for me. I think i wanted more of their story without it being entirely cheesy and overdone puns.

When I saw Melanie Munton's name I had to raise my hand and jump straight to the book
.
it's a sassy, sexy and funny story like everything she writes
.
And this is no exception, The Extra Myles is a sexy, sassy and funny novella that brings all the sexuality and slow burn chemistry of Patrick Swayse on that ceramic wheel and the New Yorker upper east side of Gossip girl in a combination to fall in love with
.
Blair is trying to make her own way as an art dealer, far from the expectations of her mother and her powerful family. Trying to prove to his mother and to the world what she is capable of is only a matter of time, so she proposes to one of his most talented artists that he pretend to be her boyfriend for the holidays in family functions until she manages to prove her worth
.
But Myles isn't just talented with a pile of clay in his hands and the chemistry between them is more than they can handle
.
Thanks to Melanie Munton and Xpresso Book Tours for give me this great book in exchange for my honest opinion I really enjoyed it

This novella is a perfect holiday pick-me-up for anyone who likes spicier romances. A quick, cute, contemporary featuring everyone’s favorite trope: the fake relationship. Given the length of the story, and the backstories/subplots, the character development is pretty good, the plot actually works and the supporting characters get to be a bit more than foils for the heroine. The whole situation is helped along by the social lubricant of at least one protagonist being independently wealthy and the holiday season provides a reason for hijinks that would otherwise never happen. This read is exactly what is on the tin: a holiday novella that is heavy on the sexy celebrations with the expected HEA. Pick it up for a fun read by the Yule tree.

The Extra Myles fit perfectly into my current mood of " short, steamy, Christmassy romance". Fake dating always serves and this case is not different. Myles and Blair are also a case of "opposites attract". It was nice to see Blair's journey of coming into her own and finally finding the courage to be herself unapologetically.
Quick but wholesome read.

This is a great feel-good book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and falling in love with Blair and Myles.
I was so engaged and invested from the first page, that I read it in one sitting.
I'll be looking for more books by Melanie Munton. I have a feeling that none of her books will disappoint.
