I loved this book!! The author's style was so easy to read and so enjoyable. You immediately fell in love with Elisa. I loved her personality, determination and acceptance of her not so wonderful life choices. You knew she made the wrong choices but could not fault her for them. She was an exceptional mother, daughter and person. She experienced life fully and made something out of life by pulling together the bits and pieces, I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Unfortunately the story didn’t grab me here, a fire in California which then switched into a detailed account of the author’s background. It’s a personal story to tell but sadly the narrative didn’t engage me and I felt my interest waver.
