I tried multiple ways to get this book but was unable. It doesn’t work with kindle so I downloaded pocketbook as directed and that got the file but wouldn’t allow it to be viewed. This is gonna be a great book from a great author but I’ll be waiting a while to get a chance to read it

Not your average vampire book, Tremblay always knows how to tap into the deepest of emotions, and this dual narrated horror thriller is at once unrelentingly creepy, as well as filled the the most bittersweet pathos of a formative, toxic, unforgettable friendship. In which one participant may or may not be a vampire. I genuinely loved this book, I loved both the unreliable voices of Art and Mercy, and I loved how it rethought and recombined what we think of when we think of vampire stories. For me, this is Tremblay's best work.

Paul Tremblay books are an automatic 4-5 stars for me! Unfortunately, The Pallbearers club from NetGalley was not formatted for my ereader and would not open on my computer with two different programs. The email from the publisher also said this book is from William Morrow, not Paul Tremblay so I’m a little confused with the interaction! I intend to buy this book when it comes out but this review will have to do for now.

This was such a delight! Tremblay is always a hit for me and I feel like each book of his is even more than the last. More exciting, more unique. Just more. This one was a great mix of horror and that great 80s nostalgia.

Couldn't read the title on Netgalley, but Tremblay is an automatic five star from me. Sounds like a great concept and I'm very much looking forward to it's release.

The thing about Tremblay is that he never writes the same book twice. By that, I mean that his books are always unique, not just when compared to each other, but when compared to horror tropes. This vampire novel (or is it?) is part friendship novel, part memorial to the music scene of the 80s and 90s, and part homage to 80s teen movies like The Breakfast Club, with New England vampire folktales thrown in. It's enjoyable, but I can't put it in the same category as the mind-blowing Head Full of Ghosts or the exquisite Survivor's Song, which are my favorites by Tremblay.

Another page-turner from Temblay. A recommended first purchase for collections where horror/thrillers are popular.
