Everything Cute & Cuddly uses simple steps to show how to draw 15 baby animals and imaginary creatures using basic shapes as a starting point. This book is very easy to follow.
This is the perfect book for my primary students. It is easy-to-follow and the instructions are very straight forward. The helpful hints assist in creating various expressions and transparencies. I would most certainly use this during a directed drawing activity or an after-school club.
Thank you to Emily Fellah, the publisher, and NetGalley for this advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for a copy of Everything Cute & Cuddly Learn to draw using basic shapes--step by step! by Emily Fellah to review.
This is the type of book that I wish was available to me when I was young and thought I couldn't draw. It's perfect for school and home with simple, easy to follow instructions. You only need the minimum of art supplies (pencil, paper, eraser, coloured pencils) but it is so much fun. The kids, and those of us who didn't learn when we were kids, will enjoy the art they create. A great book for using as a building block of fun times.
Everything Cute and Cuddly is a delightful book consisting of 15 projects to learn to draw. There are many images that one would expect, such as the teddy bear, puppy, kitten, and bear cub but there are also a few that might surprise you like a robot, seahorse, mermaid and clouds.
For all 15 projects, the book provides step-by-step instructions detailing how to draw it. In each step, the newest addition appears in a different color making it easy to spot. The last step shows the image in color, which will aid the budding artist in choosing colors to use themselves. Fellah relies on basic shapes for each step, thereby making the actual drawing instructions accessible and do-able. This book will appear to children but adults who want to learn to draw could benefit too.
**I Can Draw! Everything Cute and Cuddly**
This is a fantastic little book for young artists, and shows how to get from step to step easily. There are 15 drawings you can follow along with in all, and I completed them in Procreate - you can see the results on my blog @ geographreads.com! Four stars from me.
Drawings: Unicorn, Plush Bunny, Koala, Yeti, Fox, Clouds, Seahorse, Bear Cub, Llama, Robot, Kitten, Snowman, Mermaid, Puppy, Teddy Bear
My daughter is 8 and we both lkved this book. She enjoys drawing but gets frustrated if her pictures do not turn out how she pictures them.
Everything cute and cuddly give clear, step-by-step instruction on how to create the pictures in the book. The pictures are exactly what an 8 year old wants to draw.
Have to admit I also had fun drawing some of the pictures. As adults we can forget how calming and fun art can be. This is a great book for the whole family.
As with the others in this set, it's so easy to follow! This book is super cute. I love how simple this book makes drawing different cute and cuddly things. Easy to follow step by step guide to drawing such cute illustrations. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Really cute book on drawing cuddly things like teddy bears, robot, yeti, koala and some others, the shapes are simple to draw and can be decorated in different ways to add interest.. It is only a small book of 30 pages, but it certainly has a lot of information and projects to learn from.
Great for kids of all ages, and adults can also get some fun out of this book.
Fun, easy to follow drawing book for beginners. I have a child that is just starting to get into art and this is exactly what we have been looking for. We are planning to try all versions of this drawing series.
As with the other books by Emily Fellah on drawing, this one provided not just simple, easy to follow instructions and illustrations, but all the drawing can be completed with nothing more than a pencil, eraser, paper, and some colors. There are even a mermaid and unicorn, not to mention a robot. Since there are some llamas up the road from me, however, that was the one I tackled first. Children should have fun being creative with the colors, in particular, and perhaps even adding onto the drawings as they gain in confidence. So much the better if an adult is willing to draw along with them, too. Let's just say that I have personal experience of how much entertainment these can provide during an extended power outage. Children can use their imagination and create their own worlds using not just these simple instructions but perhaps drawing from other books in the series. Seriously, you don't need the book set but you want it. Insert smile emoji. Perhaps a zoo with a robot watchman, or maybe that mermaid has populated her undersea world with some interesting cute and cuddly critters.
Bottom line, this book, like the others in the series, can provide hours of joyful entertainment with minimal supplies, This one should definitely be on your shelf.
Thanks to #NetGalley and #QuartoPublishing for the ARC and fun diversion during a lengthy power outage.
I Can Draw! Everything Cute & Cuddly is a delightfully useful line drawing activity book for youngsters. Due out 8th Feb 2022 from Quarto on their Walter Foster Jr imprint, it's 32 pages and will be available in paperback format.
The drawings are encouragingly simple and the step by step tutorials are accessible and easy to follow and replicate. Each of the 15 drawings has a tutorial series with steps to follow and some simple tips for adding color. All of the tutorials included are popular and fun. They're all cute and recognizable and it will be easy for anyone to follow. The subjects include a plush bunny, unicorn, koala, yeti, robot, kitten, snowman and several others. This book is part of a series with lots of how-to books with the same format.
Great selection for a gift for a young artist, perhaps with some added sketch pads and pencils. This would also make a superlative classroom or library book. I would also recommend this book to babysitters, grandparents, parents, and basically anyone who spends a fair bit of time with small kids in order to up their 'draw with me' game. I really enjoyed this (and managed to recreate a credible robot myself - very very cute (but not really cuddly)).
Five stars. This is a fun activity book and will provide hours of quiet play.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
This is a superb introduction to art, for young artists. The book shows easy to read, step by step lessons, which introduce the reader to art tools, and a description of how to use basic shapes, such as triangle, circle, square and rectangle, in order to draw cute and cuddly animals easily. My daughter and I have had a lot of fun drawing animals from the book, such as a bunny and a unicorn. She really loves this series of books, and she gets really excited every time I show her a new book from the series. She has been busy drawing lots of animals from all five of the books that we have so far! Her favourite animals to draw from this series are cats and bunnies.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
