I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. Ehh I don't really know where to start. I just think it was okay. It seemed really really unrealistic. I didn't have a connection with any of the characters. This seemed more of a story for teenagers rather than adult women. The pro is the cover is cute.
This was a quick and easy read. Not overl enjoyed but still okay,
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me an arc for an honest review.
An easy rom-com holiday romance. Holly has a crush on her boss, and sets up to be his escort date. Hunter works in the office with her, and helps her. A lot of miscommunications and awkward dialogs, but eventually gets to the HEA. Skimmable in parts but otherwise would recommend if you want a quick and easy holiday read.
Thank you #Netgalley for the copy!
This was a fun holiday romcom read. We follow Molly, aka Red by her bestie and he quest to date her boss, who can't even remember her name. Molly is obsessed with Christmas and takes it upon herself to decorate the office, dresses as Mrs Claus and delivers gifts to the homeless shelter, often times with her Bestie, Hunter, by her side. When her boss needs a gorgeous date to a work gala, she is asked to find the girl. Instead, Molly goes through a makeover and pretends to be his date, Elizabeth, and he didn't even notice! Her boss is intrigued and asks Molly to track her down. During this comical situation, Molly must go home for Christmas. We follow the holiday mix ups of family, pretend dates and best friends.
Molly has worked for Sebastian for years, but he doesn't even now her name. When if finally looks like she will get her chance, he best friend Hunter realises he is in love with Molly, so who will she choose?
DNF @ 10% - The writing in this book was just bad, and the dialogue is worse. I knew it was bad when it kept talking about the main character’s “twiggy” legs and said she’s trying to “catch a man”, but I tried to read on to see if it got better. It did not, and I’m not wasting hours of my life to finish this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion.
