I'm so excited for the books coming out!!!! This was a great little preview of what's to come and what others are already excited for. I loved it so much!
This is an extremely helpful guide to books coming out in 2022. My TBR for the year is much longer now--from a list of highly anticipated releases to excerpts from debuts and lesser known authors, this book provides a wonderful overview of what to expect in the next publishing season.
Once again, BuzzBooks provides much needed information about upcoming books for 2022 and helps to pique my curiosity. Everything looks interesting, I must admit. It is so hard to choose which books to request and read/review. The BuzzBook series help enormously in the decision making process. They are a must read for reviewers.
These samplers are so invaluable! There are a few books on it that I’ve heard of and several that were completely unknown. I added a few to my watch list for when they come out! I also read a few where I’d heard of the author but hadn’t read anything from them (ex. Sabaa Tahir), and now I have an idea of whether their writing is my cup of tea or not.
Thanks for making this available!
Thank you for the opportunity to read samples from upcoming novels. There is a wonderful selection of diverse books by diverse authors from well known authors to unknown authors.
Thank you for giving us a sneak-peak into books coming out this spring and summer. I consider Buzz Books another great tool for finding titles to add to my ever growing TBR list. Obviously, reading summaries gives you some information about the storyline but having the ability to actually read an excerpt of the book itself gives much greater insight to decide if it will be a good fit for me or not.
Why did I just find out publisher contacts were listed here too??? 😑
Anyways there’s some good ones in here! Very interested in The Hacienda and Violet Made of Thorns based off of the excerpt and synopsis! Can’t wait to read more.
The books coming out look tremendous. This summary is invaluable.. Recommend you read it before requesting specific books. You’ll be glad you did!
This was very helpful and I am able to organize and prioritize my upcoming reading. I liked the organization and excerpts provided. I will request upcoming Buzz Books and look forward to combing through them.
Always a favorite of mine. I love to see what's coming so that we can choose book club reads before the books are out so the members can recommend the best reads to others.
Engaging Roundup…
Buzz Books 2022 Spring/Summer roundup of forthcoming titles. As engaging as and useful as ever, with tantalising and most promising excerpts to give your TBR pile a boost. Excellent.
A wonderful and useful tool that introduces me to books I might otherwise miss, and helps me with ideas of acquisition for our library.. I’m grateful to have this added resource.
Thank you to NetGalley and BuzzBooks for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
i appreciated getting a glance at the upcoming books-- I'm looking forward, in particular, to All My Rage!
Incredibly useful resource to inform avid readers about all of the books due out this year. Love the excerpts and links!
What better way to fight the winter’s bitter cold weather than to read about upcoming titles! This latest version of Buzz Books provides an array of authors, both veteran and debut to choose from. I have already listed my choices and made my requests. Thanks for providing the opportunity to look forward to reading these treasures. I can not wait.
Buzz Books, distributed by Publishers Lunch twice a year through NetGalley, highlights notable forthcoming fiction and nonfiction releases. From the Spring/Summer 2022 edition, I was able to both add and eliminate titles from my Want to Read shelf by reading excerpts from many of them.
Added:
- The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain
- The Last White Man by Mohsin Hamid
- Blood Orange Night: My Journey to the Edge of Madness (memoir) by Melissa Bond
- With Prejudice by Robin Peguero
- The Mutual Friend by Carter Bays
- Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting by Clare Pooley
- Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez
- This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub
Removed:
- Booth by Karen Joy Fowler (I’m sure many will enjoy this historical fiction novel about John Wilkes Booth’s family, but the sample was just too dense for my reading tastes right now.)
- When We Were Bright and Beautiful by Jillian Medoff (I was very excited about this beforehand, but the first person writing in the excerpt was all telling/no showing.)
Maybe:
- Sister Stardust by Jane Green (Me thinks Jane Green has been told by her publisher to pivot and start writing like Taylor Jenkins Reid.)
- Two Nights in Lisbon by Chris Pavone
Other books listed without excerpts that I’m sure I’ll read:
- Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel
- French Braid by Anne Tyler
- Book Lovers by Emily Henry
- The Family Remains by Lisa Jewell
- The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
- Girl, Forgotten by Karin Slaughter
- Bittersweet: How Sorrow and Longing Can Make Us Whole by Susan Cain
- Unmasked: My Life Solving America’s Cold Cases by Paul Holes
Looks like the first half of 2022 is going to be a pretty darn great season for books. Let’s go!!!
As always, this is a go-to guide for upcoming fiction and non-fiction works. The excerpts are invaluable for those of us trying to choose what to review in the upcoming months. Thank you, Buzz Books, for providing this keen reference for readers.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this sampler in exchange for an honest review.
Always excited to read about upcoming books, and there were so many good ones in here! Can't wait for these to come out!
As a collection development librarian, I am always on the lookout for lists of upcoming books, and this is one heck of a list.
There's a lot of wonderful reading in Buzz Books 2022: Spring/Summer, but for me the real standout is Geraldine Brooks' Horse, which takes on issues of race as it recounts the story of a 19th Century equestrian painting. i can't wait for the publication date!
