The story has laughs, secrets, and sweet romance.
This is Yardley and Travis's story. Yardley is a wedding planner. She has given up on ever becoming a bride. When she meets Travis the pull is strong but they resist as rules are in place for a reason. He is the brother of her client. You really get a feel for this small town and the people who live there. This town is full of fun and crazy shenanigans. The people pull you in and make you want to visit such a great town. Can these two have a future together? With all the love surrounding them they just might.
I highly recommend this book.

This book opened a new series for Lori Foster and I can't wait to read the next one! There are many characters just waiting to tell their stories in the town of Cemetery. If you are looking for a funny, page-turning romance, pick up The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster.
Lori Foster never lets me down. I try to read a book every couple of days, but lately I have been struggling. I feel like I enjoy the books I am reading, just not enough to keep my mind from wandering. Not with this book. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. It is so refreshing to read a title that holds my attention.
I highly recommended this title.
Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for allowing me to read this wonderful book for an honest review.
Lori Foster is one of my favorite authors because she never disappoints. Yardley, a wedding planner, meets Travis when he accompanies his sister to her business. Travis is intrigued by Yardley and she by him. Slow burn romance, a small town full of quirky characters, lots of humor, and a rescue pup, combine to make this book hard to put down. Recommended.
I absolutely loved everything about this book. Yardley is a wedding planner who is convinced she will never get her own happy ever ending. She meets Travis and his sister helping her plan her wedding. This all takes place in the town of Cemetery. I laughed out loud and shed a few tears while this unusual cast of characters that included a Mannequin. This heartwarming story shows that the past doesn’t always dictate your future and the honeymoon cottage isn’t always so far away as you believed. I received an ARC and my comments are solely based on my opinions.
This is a fun sweet read with a touch of heat. I absolutely adored this book! Everyone deserves a HEA especially a wedding planner. Yardley deserves the world and Travis makes it happen. Betty is a fabulous addition to the story.
Cemetery Indiana doesn't seem like a good destination for weddings but Yardley has a wedding planning business and hopes to help the town renew it's tourist industry. While working on a wedding, the bride's brother takes an interest in Yardley. She has resigned herself to being a spinster but the whole town is determined to make this romance succeed. A new series, this book sets the stage for more stories with some great town residents. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an e ARC of this book.
Light beach read. Chick lot at its finest. So much fluff but happy endings and no dead bodies. Likeable people. Have to admit I enjoyed it.

Sparkling with heartfelt humor and small town charm, reader favorite Lori Foster’s latest novel, The Honeymoon Cottage, is sure to delight.
Happy endings are Yardley Berenger’s bread and butter. There is nothing this wedding planner extraordinaire doesn’t know about romance and she works tirelessly to make sure that every bride who engages her services has a wedding day to remember! Yardley has managed to turn the small town of Cemetery into one of the most desirable wedding destinations. Even though, Yardley has seen plenty of brides say ‘I do’, romance is strictly off the cards for her and nobody is going to dissuade her otherwise – not even her latest client’s big brother, Travis Long!
There is nothing in this world Travis won’t do for his little sister, Sheena. Still, even he was taken aback when she announced that she wanted to get married in a town called Cemetery! A name like that doesn’t exactly scream hearts and flowers, but with Sheena’s happiness being of paramount importance to him, Travis agrees to go along for the ride. The wedding planner Yardley certainly knows what she is doing and nothing seems to be too much trouble for her. With fate – and conspiring locals – thrusting the two of them together at every turn, will the next wedding in Cemetery be Yardley and Travis’s? Or will their stubbornness end up costing them this unexpected chance at happiness?
Lori Foster’s The Honeymoon Cottage is a witty, irresistible and heartwarming small town tale readers will fall in love with. A terrific read about learning to trust, taking a chance on happiness and falling in love, The Honeymoon Cottage is the story of two wonderful characters who find themselves tumbling headlong into romance I couldn’t read fast enough.
Despite its name, the small town of Cemetery will weave a magical spell on readers everywhere who will want to pack their bags and move in straightaway.
Fun, uplifting and hard to put down, The Honeymoon Cottage is the latest enjoyable page-turner from Lori Foster.
The Honeymoon Cottage was great! I loved everything about it. The scenes with Kathleen the mannequin were so entertaining. Every time she showed up around town, it was so funny, especially when she was holding a sign.
Yardley was the best, and I enjoyed her love story as well as the friendship between her and all of the people in Cemetery, especially the surprise friendship that developed.
Yardley is well liked and highly respected in her community. She gets things done and takes pride in everything she's involved in although she's ruffled some feathers at a town meeting or two. She is so busy taking care of her business, her home, her family and the town that she has neglected herself. She's content with life until her newest client comes in to plan her wedding and is accompanied by brother. There's an instant attraction between Yardley and Travis and she starts to wonder if she'll ever plan her own wedding. They start finding reasons to spend more and more time together. But then there's concern that if things don't work out, will the wedding be everything Sheena has hoped for so they have an agreement to wait to be together until after the wedding. During the wait, Yardley learns it's ok to take time for herself and want things that others have, like love and a relationship. She gets some gentle pushes from her best friend and Travis couldn't be more patient. This is such a heartwarming story with all the feels and plenty of laughs through the book. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Yardley Belanger is a wedding planner who doesn't seem to know her own worth. She makes each brides dream come true by turning their dreams into a reality. Yardley herself doesn't think she will ever find true love and get married. Her biggest dream is to stay at the Honeymoon Cottage she always turns her couples towards. When Travis Long brings his sister to Yardley in hopes of giving her the wedding of her dreams she is instantly attracted to him. Travis looks at the beautiful wedding planner and is immediately interested but doesn't want to screw up his sisters wedding. He vows to keep it casual and maybe after the wedding the two can get to know each other. Things don't go as planned though the attraction for one another is to deep for either of them to not try. Follow Yardley and Travis as they try to Fae things slow but soon learn quick isn't such a bad idea either!

This book is a lovely contemporary romance that will leave me smiling for a while. It centers around Yardley, a wedding planner that dreams of carving out a happy place for herself while catering to the needs of everyone else. I have to comment that she was a little too sweet and perfect for me. She reminded me of an old-time Disney princess. Thankfully her best friend gave the angst I needed. Travis leaned toward the “too good to be true” vibe as well. But hey, they made a great couple and along with the quirky town, fun banter, and a roving mannequin, it all blended into a delightful summer romance. I’m curious about who will be next in the series.

‘The Honeymoon Cottage’, part of a new series set in the fictional town of Cemetary, Indiana (but it can be read as a stand-alone) was a lovely, warm read with great characters, a sweet romance, a close-knit community, and an adorable dog. It’s the perfect summer read! Absolutely recommend.

The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster
Cemetery, Indiana #1
Small-town romance that introduces a new romance series based on community, friendship, and the potential for love. This book has more than one loving couple, a community issue to be solved, a woman who has much to learn about herself and the women that raised her, a wedding to be planned, a married couple dealing with issues that need to be resolved, and a whole lot more.
What I liked:
* The small town community and how they interacted
* Kathleen: an integral part of the community that showed up in a variety of places
* Yardley: wedding planner, daughter, friend, community leader, frugal, there for friends and family, saver of dogs, and ready for romance when she meets Travis
* Travis: older brother, contractor, caring, kind, handsome, giving, and perfect for Yardley
* Mimi: best friend of Yardley, protective, mother of Samantha, wife of Kevin, has postpartum issues to deal with
* Kevin: there for his wife but also dealing with issues after the baby arrived
* Sheena and Todd: perfect for one another and fun to watch through the book
* Betty: a person that becomes more interesting as the book progresses
* Getting to know Aurora and Lilith – first hated them – they grew on me
* The other people in town that my show up in future books
* Dodger: an abandoned dog that brings a whole lot to the story
* Knowing that there will be another book in the series
What I didn’t like:
* The way Lilith and Aurora picked at one another and Yardley
* The way both Yardley and Mimi sometimes put themselves down
Comment: This is a feel-good happily-ever-after romance that at times made me feel the characters were younger than the age they claimed…Mimi and Yardley seemed more teenagers than early thirties.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Probably
Thank you to NetGalley and HQN for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Absolutely loved “The Honeymoon Cottage”! I loved the fact that there were multiple POVs which kept this book super fun to read. Yardley, the main character, made it so easy to fall in love with… she was the glue that brought everything together in this book. Even though I love all of Lori’s books, I especially liked the fun lightness of the season it had to it, which made it a page-turner for me. “The Honeymoon Cottage” definitely needs to be part of your summer reading collection!
The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster is a beautiful story with a balance of women’s fiction and romance.
Yardley is a wedding planner in the small town of Cemetery. Her best friend, Mimi is married with a newborn daughter. The friendship between these two ladies is what every woman wants and needs.
Yardley meets Travis, the brother of her newest client and sparks fly. They decide to take it slow until the wedding. The author created such fun things for them to do together as they dipped their toe into dating.
Mimi is trying to rekindle the romance in her marriage as she deals with being a new mom. This storyline was so fun and realistic. Her support of Yardley in everything was so special.
It is no surprise to fans of Lori’s that this was another home run. She is a master storyteller. She creates characters that you fall in love with. I highly recommend.
Sexual content – there is talk of sex or the lack of from both women. Sheena is pregnant out of wedlock,
Language – 2 The f word is used once. Damn is used 76 times

If you are looking for a small-town, feel good romance. The Honeymoon Cottage, the first novel in the Cemetery, Indiana series, is the perfect choice. It’s here we meet thirty-one-year-old Yardley Belanger, a wedding planner who works out of the Victorian home she shares with her aunt and Mother. She’s worked hard to restore the Victorian and build a business in Cemetery.
Her newest client, Sheena, arrives with her older brother Travis Long. For the first time in a long time, something stirs in Yardley. Travis and Sheena lost their parents in a tragic accident since he stepped in to raise her. Sheena was sweet and Travis will curl your toes.
Yardley and Travis hit it off from their passion for restoration to an abandoned puppy. This was a slow-burn, low drama romance, as Travis didn’t want to move forward until after the wedding of his sister’s dreams.
We get perspectives from Yardley, Travis, Yardley’s best friend Mimi and her husband Kevin. The town of Cemetary is a hoot, and we witness their affection for Yardley and she interacts with the unmoving leader of the business district. I loved the town mannequin and the shenanigans. Yardley has built her business by uplifting other local business from venues to restaurants. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to spend a long weekend exploring.
Family, character growth, trust, friendship and more are explored in this sweet romantic tale. We get side stories about Yardley’s father, family, and Mimi’s struggles as the new mother of Sammy. From the perfect pacing to the characters you’ll want to call friends, the story pulls you in and holds you until the end.
The Honeymoon Cottage is the perfect summer read, whether on the beach or curling up on the back deck with an iced tea. Perfect for fans of Jill Shalvis.
