Oh this was awesome! Yardley is a great wedding planner but in her own life, she reminds me of myself. Clueless! Travis is making sure his sister's wedding is perfect and these two get together! I absolutely love them. The sparks fly and I was definitely here for it. I loved them together! Lori always gives me what I want and this book made me so happy!

The Honeymoon cottage by Lori Foster.
Wedding planner Yardley Belanger has resigned herself to spinsterhood while organizing other people’s happy endings. An all-new heartwarming story of second chances at life and love, with summer weddings, a lakeside cottage for honeymooners, best friends and a rescued dog. Set in the quirky small town of Cemetery, Indiana, population 827.
A lovely read. I loved the story and characters. 4*.

This is my first Lori Foster book that isn't a Romantic Suspense. I would classify this as a slow-burn small town romance.

Yardley is 31 and lives in her childhood home with her mother and her aunt. They run a wedding planning business that does pretty well even though it's a small town. Yardley has renovated their Victorian manor house to have a lovely office and her aunt and mother each have spacious suites. Her room and bathroom are last on the list. She always takes care of others first. We start to see this pattern. While this book is firmly in the Romance category, it has some hints of Women's Fiction, and I have to admit, I really enjoyed the meld! Yardley is always putting herself last. It's not her self-esteem, or anything like that, it's that she really cares about everyone in her small town, so she puts them first. It isn't until she meets with a potential client whose brother is paying for the wedding that things change. He is able to see Yardley, really see her, and he loves who she is pretty much immediately.

Travis is gorgeous, like super model gorgeous, but Yardley has determined that at the ripe old age of 31 she is a spinster and she's okay with that. She doesn't need a man, let alone the brother of the bride she's working with. She's got her work, her family, and the town. And part of her love for the town is hating that the name is on every business. She lives in Cemetery, IN and she doesn't feel the name does any favors for her small business.

I do think Yardley's obsession with the town name being Cemetery was weird. Like, it's not all that bad? It would make for some fun stores and Halloween parades/themes. But Yardley is obsessed with getting the name changed. She hates that all the businesses in town are Cemetery Bait and Tackle, Cemetery Bakery, Cemetery stop and shop, you get the picture. I don't get why it's such an issue? I don't think she wanted the town name itself changed, but just the Cemetery moniker pulled off all the businesses. It was maybe her quirky trait? But that is more of a "me" problem. This may not bug anyone else. Besides it gave her a chance to bond with Betty Cemetery, the almost 90 year old great great granddaughter of the town founder. I really enjoyed Betty. She was a fantastic addition to the town, and one of the best characters.

Travis convinces Yardley to go on a date with him, not just a business lunch, or meet up, but an actual date, and while she's excited, he wants to take it slow. This feels like the opposite of most Lori Foster novels I've read! But it works for this book and for these characters. When they finally do come together, it makes it that much sweeter.

Travis and Yardley were great together, I enjoyed their dynamic, and all the fun quirks that come with a small town romance. I hope we see some more books set in Cemetery, IN from Ms. Foster. I look forward to reading them.

I absolutely loved this book. The way Lori Foster writes, I always feel as if I'm inside the book with all the characters. Between Yardley, with her word hilarious word vomit and ramblings then add in Mimi (her best friend/sister relationship), I couldn't stop grinning. When Kathleen the mannequin was introduced into the book, I lost it, completely laughed out loud at the antics the small town went to with the mannequin. The slow build up with Travis and Yardley's relationship mixed in with with everyone else made this just an absolutely wonderful read.

A wedding planner with a business in a town named Cemetery. Not only is the town named Cemetery all the local businesses have Cemetery as part of their name too. And they don't like it. Enter wedding planner Yardley Belanger and there's hope for a change. Maybe big changes for Yardley too when she meets Travis Long, the good-looking brother of the latest wedding couple looking to hire her for their wedding. I love this storyline. It's entertaining and full of very likable characters. This is such a charming story. Wedding planner love stories are always appealing to me.

What an amazing story.
Within first few chapters, I laugh, I cried.
Yardley is a wedding planner, who took over business from her mother and aunt.
During one of consultations with bride, she meets bride's brother.
They attracted to each other.
Yardley has a wonderful friend, Mimi.
Yardley's mother and aunt, on the other hand.... I want to smack them, more than once.
This is a must read.

I received a copy of this story from NetGalley for a honest review.

The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster was a very sweet story which left me feeling good about people and the world in general. Yardley is a wedding planner in the town of Cemetery and at first it seems like she is one of those people that doesn't stand up for herself but in no time you see she actually does just not in the expected ways. Travis comes into her life when his sister decides she wants Yardley to be her wedding planner. These two are perfect for each other and along with a cast of good friends, I got to spend a delightful amount of time in the town of Cemetery and I wish I didn't have to leave.

I loved The Honeymoon Cottage by @lorilfoster!

This romance was such a treat to read. Yardley and Travis's story was simple, but crazy entertaining. In most romance book, you can find an insane amount of drama, but not in this one. This book is a lot closer to what a blooming relationship can be. It is about friendship, family, love and life in general.

I said it before and I will say it again, Lori Foster is one of the most talented authors I had the chance to read. She knows how to make each characters tangible and relatable. In each one of her books, you can find characters to relate to. Everything feels so real, it's like you're actually part of the story.

The Honeymoon Cottage was no different! There were a lot of characters in this novel, but the author still wrote it in a way that made perfect sense. I really wish I could visit this small town (I won't say that name) and meet all these lovely characters. Even the ones that seemed despicable in the first chapters turned out to have a good side.

I will be re-reading this book for sure! Finally, you guessed it, I strongly recommend this perfect romance to any lover of love out there!

Happy reading xx

The Honeymoon Cottage (ebook) by Lori Foster
How do I start this review? Lori outdid herself with the heartfelt small town story. Yardley and Travis are both perfect and even if this is their love story - it is also a love story for Mimi (Yardley's best friend) and Kevin and Sheena (Travis's sister) and Todd. Then add in Yardley's mom and aunt, Betty, Dodger and the rest of the town and Kathleen. I wanted to live in this town and this book and be part of it all. I laughed, I cried, I blushed, I was so entertained and didn't want the book to end. This is one of the best books I have read in a very long time.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Funny Wonderful characters Entertaining Page-turner Easy-to-read Steamy Romantic Happily Ever After

Yardley runs a wedding planning business in her hometown of Cemetery. The town is small and she’s trying to get them to let businesses take Cemetery off the name. She lives in a Victorian house with her mother and aunt. They are always running over her and bickering with each other. Travis renovates houses and flips them. His sister is getting married and go to Yardley for planning. They are attracted to each other but Travis wants to wait until after his sister’s wedding. But the more he gets to know her, the harder he falls.

Humor and romance. A dog they find and keep. A mannequin that gets posed all over town. Now I always love Mrs. Fosters books and at first I wasn’t fond of Yardley. She let people run over her and something about her actions or her dialogue bothered me. But I grew to like her a little bit more.

Oh my goodness!! This book made me wish for the ability to transport myself into a story! It's absolutely one of the best romances I've read, EVER!! It's a story that I won't forget, and will read multiple times! I fell in love with the characters (that's typical for Lori Foster's books) and the town. I laughed, cried, and cheered. This book left me feeling like I made wonderful new friends. I felt so uplifted after reading it. Yardley and Mimi are two of my favorite female characters she's created (so far). Travis and Kevin are awesome and Betty is a card. I'm looking forward to more books about the town of Cemetery!!! I've already read this story three times and will definitely be reading it again. If you're looking for a romance story that is so much more, then you need to read this book!

Once again this talented author delivers a story that will touch your hearts.
This story belongs to wedding planner Yardley Belanger. Her childhood has not been easy. Her mother Aurora and her aunt Lilith have never been kind to her, while Yardley is the one that runs the business, cooks all the meals and basically does everything for them.
Thankfully, her best friend Mimi has been there for her since childhood. She and the rest of the town of Cemetery are grateful for all she does for them, even when Yardley doesn’t see it.
When she meets Travis, the brother of bride to be Sheena, the attraction is immediate. But old hangups will be hard to overcome. Something that doesn’t deter Travis.
As we get to spend time with the town, Betty the matriarch of the town, and everyone in Cemetery, we are reminded of a few things. That our experiences as a child and how the adults in it treated us, will affect the adult we become. That true friends will be there in the good times and bad ones. That when one find the one that “gets you” and loves you unconditionally, it’s time to let go of the past in order to enjoy the wonders of love. Lastly, that family is not always the one you are born into.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This was the fluffiest rom com that I have read in a long while. I really loved this and loved that there was no conflict, just a really good story with the two main characters meeting and falling in love with hardly no obstacles in their path. Sometimes I just really want to read something completely uncomplicated and which has really great characters and just sucks me into the story and makes me feel really great while reading it and this was it. Yardley Belanger is a wedding planner in Cemetery Indiana where she has given up on love and is happy making other peoples happily ever afters happen while longing for her own. Of course the next client she receives comes with a hot older brother who is footing the bill for his little sister’s wedding and sparks fly. This was a fast read and I just really enjoyed it.

Thanks to Harlequin and Netgalley for the complimentary copy of this book in e-book form. All opinions in this review are my own.

Cemetery is a quirky little town in Indiana. Betty Cemetery, a descendant of the founder of Cemetery, practically rules Cemetery, requiring every business to have Cemetery in its name. Yardley is a wedding planner and would really like to find an alternative to using Cemetery in her and other business’s names. And she lets it be known at every town meeting going head to head with Betty Cemetery.

This is a slowly building story, with Yardley in the center. She is confident in her ability to plan a wedding, but after that she really doesn’t know how much she means to everyone, in part due to her mother and aunt always seeming to be negative around Yardley.

I loved watching Yardley find confidence, especially as she starts spending time with the gorgeous brother who is paying for his sister’s wedding. And the relationships with her friends in town really showcased her thoughtfulness, her empathy, and her goodness.

I received an advanced reader copy of The Honeymoon Cottage and this is my honest review.

I loved Yardley and Travis’ story so much! There were so many moments that I was chuckling, swooning, and was just so thoroughly entertained. Yardley is a wedding planner who absolutely loves her job, but that is not all she does, she is a champion for their town and loved by so many in their community. Her newest client is Sheena Long who brings along her brother, Travis, to help plan and pay for her wedding. Right from the start, the sparks fly when they are in the same room together, but they try to keep it professional for Sheena’s sake. But they are so attracted to each other, they find ways to spend more and more time together. I absolutely loved watching them fall in love.

Besides swooning over the developing relationship between Yardley and Travis, there was so much more I loved about this book. The amazing friendship between Yardley and Mimi was fantastic, I would love to have a friendship like theirs. Mimi, herself, had a great side story with her husband Kevin. The town itself, with all things Cemetary, and the traveling mannequin Kathleen were all a hoot. And I cannot forget about little Dodger, the pup Yardley and Travis find tied up in the forest. In many of the books I’ve read by this author, the fur-babies always bring in that extra special to the story.

Honeymoon Cottage was definitely a 5-star read for me and one of my favorites by this author.

I received an ARC of The Honeymoon Cottage from Netgalley and this is my honest review.

Cemetery, Indiana may be a very small town, but its residents have very big hearts. Yardley Belanger makes others happy organizing their weddings but doesn't think it will ever happen to her.

The current wedding that Yardly is arranging is for a young woman named Sheena. Her brother Travis loves her and wants her to have the very best. Although focused on Sheena's wedding day to be perfect, it soon becomes clear that both Yardley and Travis both share a growing attraction to one another, leaving Yardley pleasantly surprised that love just might be in the cards for her.

This was a very touching story. I loved the layers in this story - Yardley enjoying makings brides happy, the warm relationship between Travis and Sheena and the developing romance between Yardley and Travis. As if those factors weren't enough, the little town of Cemetery grew on me immediately, leaving me more than eager to continue this series. Also, the book was a very light read, with humor and warmth throughout.

I loved Yardley and how she was able to find her own happily ever after. I think I have become a bit prejudiced with Lori Foster's books. They are all terrific and The Honeymoon Cottage is right there with every single book I have read by her.

Many thanks to HQN Books and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Lori Foster is a must read author for me. I love every book she writes. She has a way with writing a great story with great characters and great dialogue. This one was another fav of mine. I loved the bone deep friendship of Yardley and Mimi. I loved the strong sibling relationship with Travis and his sister. I also loved the relationship between Yardley and Travis. It was such an easy going relationship. It came about naturally and developed at the right pace. They just fit together. I absolutely loved everything about this story!

Yardley was such a wonderful character to get to know! Her empathy and love just made her so very lovable. And her merry band of friends showed me that she really was a good person - the kind you'd like to count as one of your very best friends.

As a wedding planner, Yardley knew everything about how to put things together to make the happy couple feel special on their wedding day. And she did that while dealing with her bitter mom and aunt, and while thinking a happily ever after was just not in the cards for her...

The Honeymoon Cottage is all about hopes and dreams, friendships, family, love, and growing as a human being. I loved all of it, the romance between Yardley and Travis first of all, but also the secondary characters' romances, from Yardley's best friend Mimi and her husband Kevin with their baby-daughter Sammy, to Travis' sister Sheena and her fiancé Todd.

The writing is so well done, and the story unfolded seamlessly at a perfect pace, which made it all the more enjoyable.

As a Long time Lori Foster fan.. I have to say Yardley is my favorite character she has ever written…..so far!!! Yardley is a wedding planner who loves her job and the small town she lives in. Yardley is quirky, fiercely independent when she needs to be, and loyal to a fault. When her and her best friend Mimi get together there are som laugh out loud funny moments. Travis is a contractor who wants to give his sister the wedding she deserves. When Travis meets Yardley they share a instant connection and he gets her….quirks and all. Between the small town antics, the Meddling family members this book is extremely entertaining. I laughed out loud a few times, the banter between many of the characters is just hysterically funny. I truly enjoyed this book, it was fast paced and was just a really fun read. Travis and Yardley found each other at a perfect time in their lives. He definitely gave her a push she needed and she did the same for him. Of course with a Lori foster book the story is extremely layered and well written. The characters are well developed and have you wanting more. I would love another book or two about this amazing small town. I am looking forward to seeing what Lori writes next!

I loved, loved, loved this book! I wanted to cuddle Yardley (and grow up to be just like her), high-five Mimi, hug Sheena, have tea with Betty and smack both Aurora and Lilith (hard). Yardley and Mimi are the best of friends and their relationship made me smile so big-oh how I wish for such a friendship. Not only did I get one swoon worthy hunk but two, Kevin and Travis, the perfect matches for Mimi and Yardley! If you're looking for a warm, happy story that will make you smile look no further, grab this one and enjoy!!
