If you’ve never read a book by Lori Foster this would be a great one to start with! It’s so chalk full of love, comedy, tenderness, and a little bit of out right meanness! I love Lori’s books because when you read them they make you feel like you are a part of the story! Once you pick it up you just don’t want to put it down. The characters are so very life like, and you can’t help but to either love them or dislike them! You will have to get the book and read it for yourself and decide who’s your favorites! I promise, you won’t be sorry! Thank you Lori for writing such a wonderful book!

I truly enjoyed reading "The Honeymoon Cottage". Lori Foster 's characters are so relatable, that I could put myself in their places and feel the way they were feeling throughout this book. I experienced a gauntlet of emotions while reading about Yardley,Travis, Mimi, Kevin, Sheena, Todd, Betty and special appearances by Kathleen. Cemetery is a fabulous place to visit! Like Yardley, I want to stay in the Honeymoon Cottage! Lori Foster describes it as such a wonderful place to visit, that it would be such a luxury to stay there. My absolute favorite part of the book though is when Yardley finds & rescues Dodger, the dog. My heart just melts when animals have a place in a story.

In “The Honeymoon Cottage” Lori Foster we meet Yardley. Yardley is a wedding planner in Cemetery, Indiana who specializes in everyone else’s happily ever after’s. But when a new client arrives with her brother, Yardley’s world gets turned upside down and her dream of spending time in the honeymoon cottage does not seem so out of reach.

Great characters who all hold their own. From drop dead gorgeous Travis, to Dodger (the rescue dog) to the always impeccably dressed town mannequin, Kathleen, who shows up where you would least expect).

I received an advanced readers copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

As a long time fan of Lori Foster, I have many favorites and this one is definitely at the top of my list. Yardley is a wedding planner who lives with her mom and aunt. She has accepted that she is going to remain single, until she meets Travis.

Travis is a contractor who is helping pay for his sister, Sheena's, wedding, whom he raised. She is such a sweetheart and is grateful for everything her brother does. Travis is attracted to Yardley and takes extra meetings with her to get to know her better.

I laughed, cried, and laughed some more. One of the most hilarious things in the book is the town playing pranks on each other with a mannequin that is dressed and posed different ways. With a name of a town like Cemetery, you can't blame Yardley for wanting to keep the town's name out of things. Once you meet Betty, she is a great character. I could not put this book down, and i disappeared into this world, when I looked up many hours had passed by and I was not aware. Loved this book!

I loved Yardley! She was cute, sweet, and adorably quirky. Travis was a sweetheart. Heck, the residents of Cemetery were an absolute hoot! Dodger was fur baby fun and then there’s Kathleen… this story was a pleasurable, laid back read.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from the author/Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a lovely story of a small town called Cemetery, Indiana, that is full of colorful characters, some quirky and some jerky. The main characters, Yardley and Travis, are likeable and relatable. There are a couple of wonderful secondary characters; Mimi, the best friend and Yardley’s staunchest advocate (I loved Mimi), an abandoned wounded dog, and a mannequin that always seems to turn up in all the “happening” moments. I loved the absence of any great angst, just things that could happen in your everyday life, some ups, some downs. A totally true-to-life story full of heart and hope.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved The Honeymoon Cottage. I had a smile on my face the entire time I read this story. I absolutely loved Yardley and Travis together. Their romance was more of a slow burn but it was just so sweet and wonderful. I also loved Mimi and how protective she was of Yardley and all the other characters in this story. This town was really fun to be a part of. Yardley really was a sweetheart and she made me love her so much. She pulled at my heartstrings with her big and forgiving heart. I highly recommend this story. A seriously very wonderful read.

Day after day Yardley Belanger helps people plan their special happily ever after's, yet she has never been fortunate enough to find one of her own. She is okay with it for now, but holds out hope that one day the right man will finally come along. It's a day she can't wait to happen...

The pages of The Honeymoon Cottage take us to Cemetery, Indiana and into the lives of it's lively and wildly entertaining residents. While Yardley's love story is unfolding we get the opportunity to meet the people who touch her life on a daily basis. Each one unique in their own right, and each one brings something special to the pages. It's evident they all care deeply for her and want the best for her, so when outsider Travis Long wanders into town and steals her heart at first glance, they are wary to trust him. But it doesn't take long for him to charm them too!

I loved watching Yardley and Travis find their happily ever after, every page of their love story captivated and kept me smothered in feels. I loved all the secondary characters as well, and I cannot wait for the time we will be able to revisit them. This was such a wonderful escape, it's words warmed my heart and it's characters gave me many reasons to smile and laugh! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I love Yardley! She’s one of those main characters I can see myself messaging and hanging out with. She fixes your tiara!

And Travis, ummm, I wish he had an older cousin! He’s so amazingly sweet to his younger sister. Seriously, raising her once their parents died, and now he’s continuing to put his life on hold so she can have her dream wedding? Swoon.

Now, does everyone in Cemetery love Yardley, well except her mom and Aunt? Of course, she’s that sweet, but she has that side that comes out while hanging out with her bestie. But she puts everyone else first. Will she finally find something worth pursuing?

One thing I love about Lori Foster's stand-alone romance stories, is that they aren't just about the couple's relationship. She focuses on the importance of female friendships that aren't abandoned because a guy enters the picture. You can also tell what an amazing pet lover she is by the inclusion of fur babies. Even though this isn't a series, I'd really like to see more of this couple and the other characters as they enjoy their HEAs. Yardley and Travis are meant for each other and this book is a warm fuzzy blanket after a stressful day!

To me, The Honeymoon Cottage is a story about believing in yourself, it’s about family, and it’s about making your own version of family, even when your blood relations don’t measure up. The Honeymoon Cottage had characters that I loved, and characters for me to…let’s say “not” like. Again, it’s a sign of how well it was written that the “not” likes are such a big part of the story.

Yardley Belanger is such a sweet, wonderful, caring, gawjus young woman but all her life her family has made her feel…less. But she has champions, ones she knows and some she does not; from her best friend Mimi, to the entire town. Reading about her learning that about herself and “growing up” for lack of a better description, was such a joy. She learned she has back-bone. She learned she was a good friend and neighbor. And most of all, she learned she had to love herself before she could move on with her life.

Travis Long comes to Yardley’s business to hire her as his sister’s wedding planner. It’s a good thing it’s not actually for him because he and Yardley just about combust when they are in the same room. I loved that Travis was a strong personality but he developed a soft spot for Yardley right from the start. He truly became her champion, too, but always supported her making her own decisions. He, too, had some “growing up” to do, but throughout the story, he was always in Yardley’s corner.

Mimi and her husband Kevin were great characters, too! I mean, I wanted to kidnap Kevin for myself. Sheena, Travis’s sister, and her fiancé are also fun to read; I liked them both. And I’ve saved Yardley’s mother and aunt for last. These two are perfectly written so that they made me crazy and I wanted to yell at them every time they were on a page. But it made for good balance in Yardley’s and Travis’s story.

No intrigue or mayhem! Just a wonderful relationship story. Lots of side characters too, like a certain puppy; Betty; neighbors; and of course, Kathleen… You’ll have to read the book to know what THAT’S about! Really enjoyed.

This is how Lori Foster would take on a Hallmark Movie. It has all the main characters - a plucky Wedding Planner who is loved by all except for her mother and aunt who are constantly talking her down. Then there is the young bride whose finance is working all the time so she comes to plan her wedding with her hunky brother. Add in a quirky small town with a cranky matriarch and a crazy friend, on top of all that there is a dog that is rescued from being tied in the forest. The best part is the Honeymoon Cottage.
Yardley and Travis are magnetically attracted to each other from the first but for the sake of his sister's wedding they try to go slow. Yardley is the glue that holds to whole town together, she is loved by everyone and yet she doesn't seem to see it. Her love for the town and it's people esp for the Honeymoon Cottage are what makes the book so endearing. The relationship that grows between her and Travis is beautiful and everyone in town shares in their Happily Ever After.

I started this story thinking I was reading a romance but it is so much more than a guy meets girl story. This is a subtle but touching story about a love affair with friendship. It is a story about the importance of perspectives and how they can be very wrong and very right at the same time. (People’s perspective are their realities whether it is universally agreed to be accurate.) It is a story about respect and determination. It is a story about taking time to appreciate the value of an individual from the inside out. It is a story about honest work, family, and doing the right thing. It is a story about hope and progress. And yes, it is a love story – more than one! That’s a lot in one story but it is well written, beautiful, and not to be missed.

This is a wonderful romance book set in Cemetery Indiana. I could not keep from laughing at some of the antics and the characters. The secondary characters were wonderful, including a rescue dog and a mannequin named Katherine. This book is well worth reading

Another fabulous Lori Foster book! Set in the town of Cemetery, Indiana, this story made me laugh out loud while smiling or crying the next. There are multiple relationships within this book where Foster interweaves relatable problems. Each character is unique and comes to life - Yardley & Travis with Dodger the rescued dog, Mimi & Kevin, Sheena and Todd, Betty and even the 'traveling' mannequin named Kathleen. You'll love this small town romantic story of love and friendships.

This is a wonderful laugh out loud book. Yes, this is a refreshing romance, but wait, Lori takes it one step further. I haven't been this entertained from reading a book in a long time. Wait until you read about Travis and Yardley, and the town of Cemetery. The unusual happenings going made me laugh out loud, while Yardley a wedding planner, plans a special wedding. I promise you will laugh. This is a page turner you won't be able to put down. I was almost finished, and put down, and went to bed, I couldn't stand it . I had to get up and finish it. I received this book as an arc, for my honest opinion.

This was a really sweet story by Lori Foster. At the beginning of the book I struggled with how negative some of the characters were, but even the most negative characters won me over by the end. Yardley is a really loving character who spreads herself really thin being everything to everybody in town, despite her ever only receiving love and praise from her best friend Mimi. Yardley wears many hats, one of which is being an amazing wedding planner in the amusingly named town of Cemetery. While meeting with a prospective client, Yardley meets a gorgeous and kind man named Travis, who lucky for her, is the brother of the bride instead of the groom. As Yardley and Travis help plan the upcoming wedding, sparks fly and Yardley finally starts to realize how valuable she is, and learns how to stand up for herself and what she wants and needs. There are many fabulous side characters in this book, and the town of Cemetery and it’s rich history come to feel almost like a beloved character in the book too. The book also features an adorable animal as well. A really sweet and uplifting story. I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.

With moments of outrageous hilarity, amazing friends, and a dressed mannequin that somehow finds her way all over town, I couldn’t put this book down!!!

Yardley Belanger is a wedding planner in the town of Cemetery, Indiana. She lives with her mother and her aunt in an amazing Victorian house that she rehabs in her spare time. Yardley is funny, quirky and a natural caregiver with an infinite capacity to love. Yardley loves everything about planning weddings and being able to bring business to all the local businesses while she is doing it. When she meets her new client and her older brother, everything stops. After the meeting Yardley calls her best friend Mimi (who is absolutely hilarious) and there my have been some Facebook stalking involved for the said hot older brother lol.

Travis Long is marrying off his little sister, he has been mother, father and older brother since she was 5 and their parents were killed in a car accident. He owns his own construction company and in his free time he flips old houses. Travis has a lot of misgivings when his sisters wants to have her wedding in a place named Cemetery but he wants her to have the wedding of her dreams so he goes along with it. Travis goes with his sister to the first meeting with the wedding planning and is impressed by not only how organized and easy Yardley makes the process go, but also by the rehab she has done on the house and, mostly importantly, Yardley herself.

There is a bit of a secondary story with Yardley’ best friend Mimi, who is married to her high school sweetheart, Kevin, and just had their first child. Mimi is feeling undesirable and insecure in her new post pregnancy body. Her husband Kevin is terrified that he will hurt/lose her after her difficult pregnancy and feels guilty that he can’t give her more time to rest even though he works and then comes home to help however is needed.

This book has a bit of everything!! There was a ton of hilarity but there was also, what I guess I’d call, realness. It wasn’t just a funny story, it was a realistic story that could and possibly has happened in a small town where everyone knows everyone else. I think that is what made it such a great story, someone like me is never going to meet a hot millionaire that thinks I’m better then sliced bread but maybe I could meet a hot construction guy who think I’m all that and a bag of chips lol. The secondary characters are just as good (some are even better) as the main characters. Mimi and Yardley are absolute friend goals! They cracked me up throughout the entire book. They are each other’s rock and the advice they give to each other is at turns solid and completely silly.

I would definitely love to have more stories come out of Cemetery, Indiana! *I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.*
