I was really excited to read this book. I got a copy of the audiobook from NetGalley and a print copy from Bookish First. The premise sounded right up my alley, including the mental health arc.

Unfortunately, it fell flat. I read lots of thrillers, so I was expecting more from this story.

I had to DNF this book as the story just wasn’t for me. Even though the narrator was great, it still didn’t keep me hooked.

I received an advanced copy of this e-audiobook from the publisher for an honest review. This audiobook is well read, and well written, and the characters are described well. I enjoyed Alexa's character. This audiobook had me on the edge of my seat from the first minute trying to find out what will happen next. This audiobook is a MUST LISTEN. This book is definitely worth it to listen it is so good. This audiobook is in stores for $22.95 (USD).

I enjoyed this book. I liked the sibling story and wanting independence. It was well written, good to read maybe a few more turns as it felt as though I'd read the plot before.

DNF. Couldn't get into this book, this book just wasn't for me, sadly. Thank you for approving me and I'm sorry I didn't enjoy the book.

Not sure if it was the reader or what but I'd love to maybe try physically reading it one day as it does sound good

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. Interesting mystery novel. Good weekend read.

This book sounds super good at first but it was extremely underwhelming. I have some issues with the book. It seemed to be usually mental illness as a plot device and reveal rather than in addition. Sometimes that’s not necessarily a problem but it felt like one in this book. I really wanted to love this book but I just didn’t. The book read as if the narrator was unreliable but it just felt like nothing they did or said made sense to the person we’re introduced to in the beginning, even after the big revelation it still the same person. Everything in this book felt unrealistic, not the mental illness, more so her moving to New York, getting a job at a cool company and being listened to and used with zero work experience. Not to mention her just randomly meeting this hot influencer and immediately dating. I feel like there was far too many plots going on and the author could have just kept the plot about the sisters and still had the same ending. I think it would have been much better. Nevertheless a very interesting story.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from J.C. Bidonde’s book, Do You Follow? I must admit at times I thought I had the story figured out, but the plot twist was wonderfully wound into place and totally threw me. It’s well written with strong character development.

Ehh. I did not enjoy this at all. It was slow and the audio was imo, not great which can totally make the experience unenjoyable. I actually DNF this one.

I don’t think I’ll get the hang of audiobooks for quite some time, but I’m really happy to have finally started training myself to listen to a book. I am definitely going to continue as well as improve my capacity to review audio books; I just have to develop the vocabulary and appreciation for narration to do so. “Just”, lol.

So I listened to this one at 1.25 times the speed; somehow the narration seemed too slow for me. However I have a feeling this is a personal preference rather than a problem with the narration; I just read really fast, and this book was well-written, so it wasn’t hard to follow the plot at 1.25 times the speed. The book starts with the shadowy understanding that something pretty bad happened to Alexa that had a big effect on her relationship with her twin, Beth. This something also made their father very protective of Alexa and dismissive of Beth. There are enough clues to develop at least three theories; the brilliant part of this book is that all three remain pretty solid throughout most of the book, with one of them being correct but with a pretty big twist. It’s an easy listen which I would assume makes for a quick read.

The audio of this book was rough. The pacing was off, the characters were shallow, and I spent far too much time with my mind drifting away from the lack of plot to wondering why these sisters were so fundamentally, poorly represented. Maybe if I had read it rather than listen to it, I may have gotten father. This was a halfway DNF for that reason.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book but I can say I was a little disappointed. Felt very slow at times and left me wanting more, unfortunately. Wish I could say I loved this the way that I thought I was going to, would definitely try again with the author though,

Alexa just wanted a fresh start, but her estranged twin sister ruined it for her. The girls had such a rough childhood between losing their mother, dealing with mental health issues and going through the incident that nobody chooses to speak of. Alexa just started a new job and even found a romantic interest, but then her sister had to ruin it all. Will they manage to get through this mess without their dark secrets surfacing?
Thank you Netgalley, Greenleaf Book Group and J.C. Bidonde for the opportunity to read and review this audiobook. It grabbed my attention from the moment I started listening to it and reeled me all the way in! This was a very twisted psychological thriller. I really thought I had it figured out and then l hit the end and Bam! I was not ready for that unexpected twist! I honestly enjoyed every bit of this book and will definitely be reading another book by this author. I’m rating this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫.
⚠️ Trigger warning: mention of suicide and death if a loved one ⚠️

This story is about twins Alexa and Beth, narrated from both of their perspectives. I loved the multiple POV and how it makes you easily understand that these identical twins are VERY different.

They’ve had a difficult life, struggling with mental health and the death of their mom but throughout the book the twins only tip toe around “the incident” so until the very end it is hard to grasp how difficult and the WTF moment is just sublime and sick!

Half way through I thought I had it all figured it out but although I did guess a few details, the entire plot is so twisted that it is impossible to guess.

I really enjoyed this and I highly recommend you add it to your TBR

Side note: do yourself a favor and unplug your Alexa before listening to this or use headphones, you’re welcome!

This one definitely kept me out of the loop as far as figuring out what was going on till right before the reveal. Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of thrillers, but I'm glad I gave this one a try. The narration was good, and I found the six hours whizzed by quickly. I'd definitely check out anything else by the same author.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy for review.

This was my first book by J.C. Bidonde and I was very entertained. I also like the author's writing style along with the narrator in this story. To me, it felt like a slow start but picked up. I thought I had the the characters figured out but that definitely changed. And that ending caught me by surprise. This is definitely worth a read in my opinion.

TW: This book talks about mental healh disorders, suicide and murder.

Alexa is excited to move to New York after she bags the job as a Marketing Assistant in a popular company, but her father is not too keen about her shifting to NY. All is going well when suddenly Alexa finds her estranged sister Beth at her doorsteps. Beth requests Alexa that she will stay at the apartment until she can find a place of her own. Alexa agrees reluctantly, but somehow manages to adjust to this new development.
As Alexa is settling in her job, to her surprise she finds that she is falling in love with a client Curt – but as per Beth something is not right about him, and she keeps warning Alexa. But Alexa does not want Beth’s suggestion or involvement in her love life. She moves ahead in her relationship when a sinister moment causes all hell to break loose and Alexa finds herself being held responsible for a tragedy and she has to answer the cops.
There’s a mention of an “incident” which seems to be the point of reveal – this book was a really fast paced one and I would like to thank the author, Netgalley, the narrator & Greenleaf Book Group for the e-ARC and audio ARC

This is teetering on a 5 star read for me! Wow, so good!! The first half was a little slow... And I figured out Alexa and Beth right away. But the little details were nothing that I thought! The second half kept me glued wanting to know everything! I toggled between the audiobook and ebook. The narrator of the audiobook was fantastic! Really enjoyed this one and highly recommend!!
