Love that this author has such a range in her writing. FBI stories are the best, but wow I didn’t know these fantasy books were part of that range.

If you like short stories and mythical adventures grab these for a wild read.

I have been reading Catherine Coulter books for years, starting with her earlier romance novels, Regency and historical. Lately, I have read every one of her FBI thrillers and really enjoyed them. I was excited that this group of novellas was listed on NetGalley for review. It took me back to the early 80's and Ms. Coulter hasn't lost her touch. Her characters are still interesting and the plot lines definitely not your run of the mill stories. I would definitely recommend reading this set of books as they are a measure of how diverse this talented author is and she just keeps getting better. Hat's off to you Catherine Coulter! Thank you NetGalley. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

May just be me, but struggled to get too in-depth into these short stories. Many had high praise, so it may be me, but found them easily skimmable. If you like supernatural, and short stories, you would like this one.

Catherine Coulter brings us well known English author Grayson Sherbrooke. He uses his adventures with the supernatural into his supernatural stories. With the help of his son Pip, his neighbor Miranda, Miranda's daughter PC, and an orphan Barnaby, Grayson searches to solve the mysteries he comes upon.

Catherine Coulter brings us five stories with Grayson and his gang. We get to follow along with them as they set to solve the various mysteries they encounter as Grayson visits with neighbors and friends. As apparitions and objects beckon him, he is drawn into each mystery. With each story, we get to revisit those we met before and see how relationships grow.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this privilege.

"Much like the hero of his frightening Gothic adventure stories, well-known English author Grayson Sherbrooke has his own share of run-ins with peculiar supernatural beings, both good and evil. From his home on the northern coast of England, Sherbrooke leaps into these otherworldly mysteries to find the truth with the help of his son, Pip; his beautiful neighbor, Miranda, and her daughter, P. C.; and an orphan named Barnaby.

Set in the mid-nineteenth century and featuring a delightfully quirky cast of characters, The Grayson Sherbrooke Novella Collection will keep you entertained for hours as you join Sherbrooke and his rag-tag team of investigators to solve bizarre, out-of-this-world cases.

This collection includes five books in Coulter's supernatural series: The Strange Visitation at Wolffe Hall, The Resident Evil at Blackthorn Manor, The Ancient Spirits of Sedgwick House, The Virgin Bride of Northcliffe Hall, and The Red Witch of Ravenstone Folly."

I love period Gothic monster adventures!

I absolutely loved these stories and was so disappointed that it ended so soon! What a phenomenal cast of characters, from Grayson and Miranda, to the children, The Great and Ms. Elaine, the random ghosts and everything in between! Pure magic! I can only hope Ms. Coulter expands on this series because I am impatiently waiting to see if my favorite couple(s) end up married!!

Dashing, romantic, and a bit of strange mysteries is the theme of this compilation of novella stories. Having read previously about the Sherbrooke’s of England, it was a delight to read along about the adventures of Master Ryder’s son, Grayson Sherbrooke and his young son Pip. As an author of books of strange tales, the protagonist always saves the day as he encounters and defeats those who are not of this world, both good and evil. We find a mortal man who seems larger than life in the form of Grayson Sherbrooke. True to form, he uses his everyday adventures to formulate his next plot of a novel and is revered by most who meet him.

Looking for a book to entertain you? Enjoy a book with a bit of magic and out of the ordinary? This grouping of stories was a fun read and as always, Catherine Coulter does not disappoint. In fact, it had me revisiting other books she has written about this family.

Many thanks to #netgalley #catherinecoulter for the opportunity to read and review this book.

What a wonderful way to revisit the Sherbrookes in this collection of short stories! I always wondered why Grayson didn't get his own book back in the day. we get to see Douglas and Alex, Sinjun and Colin, as well as read about Ryder, and visit with the Virgin Bride and Pearlin' Jane.
Grayson is a famous writer who is attuned to paranormal world- he gets to solve a bunch of mysteries with the help of Virgin Bride, Pearlin' Jane and a friendly witch or two. We get to meet his son Pip and his new love interest Miranda.
All in all a very enjoyable read- i loved catching up on all the Sherbrookes and their progeny.
