I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. An interesting view on food and how to properly feed our kids. I thought it was well-written and kept my interest.
Kitchen Medicine is a food memoir, but it's so much more than that: it's a medical mystery; a tale of a mother's determination, love and anguish as she struggles to help her daughter; and an homage to the joys of learning to cook and the beauty of food, family food traditions, and family itself. So grateful I got to read an advance copy of this one -- it's tender, poignant, and lovely.
This book is medicine for anyone who’s ever struggled to feed themselves, or someone they love. Lewis’s ability to nourish her family, and finally herself, will forever change the way you look at your pantry.
