3.5 stars!

I really liked how this started and really liked the idea of Toni thinking she was texting one person but in reality was texting someone else. I was even surprised when the truth came out as quickly as it did, as I was expecting this to happen for more of the book.

I felt that the ending was a little rushed and felt that more scenes of Toni and Cooper would have really built up more tension. I also wished their texting moments were longer as it gave me a few laughs and was cute.

Also imagining a cosplayed Lucious Malfoy fighting with a Cosplayed Dumbledore gave me more laughs then I ever thought it would have haha

It was a really cute story, but I felt that the texting could have gone on a little longer as I felt it was quite short giving the premise of the book.

The combination of Whitney Dineen and Melanie Summers is dynamite! Such witty banter and humorous situations, all the things I love in a good RomCom.

Toni has had a streak of bad luck with her relationships. She’s always been drawn to the blue collar bad boys. So after her latest breakup she decides she needs to change. She will only go after successful professional men. Surely this is the recipe for a lasting relationship.

She then meets two new guys at her office. One is Cooper, a swoon worthy handsome construction worker working on their new facility. She’s instantly attracted to him, but with her new resolve she does all she can to rebuff him. The other is Sumner, the new fundraiser for their charitable foundation. He’s handsome as well and surely a much better candidate for a successful relationship. She decides to concentrate her efforts on him.

She asks her boss to give her the new guy’s phone number, meaning Sumner. Unbeknownst to her he gives her Cooper’s number instead.

As the texting relationship gets more interesting and exciting, things in the office are not adding up. There is a lot of confusion and hilarity that ensues because of this.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me a lot of the humor of Sophie Kinsella in the Shopaholic books. This is a clean read with great characters and lots of fun! Thanks to #Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

It took me a while to finish this one. It was a cute and funny rom-com, but I had a hard time to read it. I wasn't feeling entertained that much by it. I felt like everything about it was just fine, the plot and the characters.
Toni and Cooper were likeable characters, as well as the others (not Sumner and Natalie haha), but I was missing more romance. I didn't feel like it was the real big deal between the two of them. I didn't mind that Toni was that desperate to find a man, but still for me it wasn't that great.

Text and Confused: It's hate at first sight is the sixth book in An Accidentally in Love Story series (and my first) . It follows the story of Toni Capella and Cooper Flint .

Toni is the woman who is trying desperately to find an unproblematic "Mr Nice Guy " to settle down . Copper is a hot and handsome contractor who is coming to work with the company Toni is in for a charity project . Her boss gives her Cooper's number instead of Sumner who is her coworker and nothing like her type .

First things first , I don't understand why Copper is portraited as the BAD GUY . He has been nothing but sweet towards Toni since the start. He is the black sheep of his family. He has three sisters who are highly qualified except him.

Toni must be one of my least fav heroines. Toni judging him by his looks was really annoying , not only that she was really rude to everyone even to her boss ( even though he is her best friend's husband , a little respect won't hurt) . She wouldn't give him a chance to explain even for a sec . One of the characters that I loved is Faith . She was so cute .

The texting part was good and the end was ok. The in between was just blah . I skimmed through most of the book . Would I re-read it ? Probably not . Would I recommended it ? No.
This is all that I have to about this book .

"Promise to tell me if you start to feel scared again. I can’t fix things if I don’t know what’s wrong"

Toni is that girl whose Aunts put her on social dating apps just so she can find Mr Right. After a chaotic morning, Toni reached work to find Cooper in her office whom she put on her "never to date" list. No matter how attractive Cooper was, she refused to entertain her thoughts.

Enter Sumner, her work colleague whom ticked most of her boxes that made Toni ask her boss for his number to text him. Except her boss gave her Cooper's number instead and everything goes downhill from there.

I liked that this book had such a consistent flow. It moved right, from the dynamics of the people around Toni to the people around Cooper. The texting-dating also made me remember how I was like as a teenager, giggling over sweet texts from boys who said we are dating over texts. I also liked that it was not a heavy romance, it was light and yet interesting to read. I very much in particular liked the quote above because communication is an aspect that is really important to me and I liked that it was emphasised in this book because let's face it: most romances continue because of miscommunication, it is a common theme.

This felt like a good standalone and I probably will not read the rest of the series. I think it covered and concluded enough bases from the start to the end. This is a: enemies to lovers and forced proximity trope based book.

If you want a fast, light, quick clean romance this is the book for you.

Text and confused by Whitney Dineen and Melanie Summers

NetGalley provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

So you see that part? Honest review? Even tho they send me a copy, I won't kiss anyones' asses. So be prepared.

Firstly, the story.

Toni is a desperate woman, who wants to find a man badly, so when one day at the office Summer pops up (an intelligent and beautiful fundraiser) she is determined to get him to date her.

Instead of his number, she gets the number of the contractor of the same project - Cooper. But his bad boyish style and huge grin push her away.

THE NEXT PARTS CONTAINS SPOILERS, READ ON YOUR RISK

This book was frustrating. So frustrating.

Toni is probably the worst female character in the universe of bad female characters. She was rude (even if your boss is married to you BFF, that doesn't give you permission to be so insolent), judgy (let's not pretend her whole "I'll judge the book by its's cover" attitude and her prejudices didn't put her in that position), and dumb. I almost DNF'd the book a few times because of her.

And Cooper was nice from the beginning, he was kind, and understanding (about her 3-weeks-texting-only rule), and deserved nothing but the best. What he got is an entirely different story.

I don't see how their imaginary relationship can develop in the future, as she is so unbearable (so I expect a sequel about Cooper dumping her ass).

It frustrated me the fact that she believed the lies Summer told her, even after he tried to r*pe her. And didn't even let Cooper explain properly what the situation was (in which he was as innocent as an angel).

The other thing that bugged me was Faith. I know 7-year-old kids, they don't think like that, and they don't talk like that. The actions of Faith were more actions of a teenager than to someone from the kindergarten. (And you want me to believe she knew the alphabet by 2?)

And lastly, is this even a romance book? I respect that there are "clean romances", but this thing was "holy-water-type-of-clean", cause they didn't even kiss until the Epilogue (and that was brushed off as something unimportant). We had a few weeks of them texting, then a few weeks of tenseness, a weekend in an inn, and the end. All in 300 pages.

Anyway, the only thing I enjoyed was the writing. It was flowing and was actually easy to read.

So in the end this was 3 stars read, which I wouldn't recommend to my romance friends. But a nun would probably enjoy it.

I do enjoy a mistaken identity story and this book delivered. Flirty texting, witty banter and laugh aloud moments. I truly enjoyed the journey with Tony and Cooper. This book was a well-paced, fun, romantic read that left me wanting more (in a good way!).

This was actually my first in the series and I am looking forward to going back and reading the others. Note: This book can be read as a standalone.

I want to thank NetGalley, Whitney Dineen & Melanie Summers and 33 Partners Publishing and Indigo Group for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

Tony is decided that she needs a man and new standards. So she makes a list of rules and does not back out. So when she meets Cooper she dismisses him, Cooper is instantaneously attracted to her but can do nothing when the women say no. A misunderstanding connect them and they start to get to know each other through texts. When the truth comes out Toni block Cooper yet again. Cooper will try to win her will he succeed?. I loved Cooper such a great honest caring guy. But Toni no her character was not of my liking was for me frustrating to read about her actions. But in the end, it all ends well.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

This was a cute read! I don’t know why, but I love books that intersperse text conversation throughout. Both authors are new to me and I plan to go and read some of the other Accidentally in Love books now! I thought the storyline played out well in this book and the characters meshed well together.

Going into this book, I immediately loved the concept of their relationship developing via text. It was a refreshing twist along with the amount of fluff and wholesome content. The conversations were so sweet to read. That being said, I do think the number of real-life interactions between them were were minimal. The development of their relationship was primarily through text. It was towards the end that they ( forcibly ) spent more time together, which I enjoyed. If you need a wholesome new adult read with no spice, this one is it!

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book! It was a super fun and easy read that made me laugh at times which is exactly what I love!

Toni and Cooper are my favorite couple in the whole series (tied with Jen and Gabe from The Text God) !!!
And it is perhaps precisely because the mechanics are the same: an imbroglio on the identity of the person with whom one exchanges.

It was so funny to follow Toni who really tries not to fall for Cooper. He's so sweet, understanding and romantic. I laughed a lot while reading this book. It also was very cool to see this much of Holly and Archi from the previous installment.

This book was such a joy to read! I love a case of mistaken identity and this book did not disappoint. Each character is so well thought out and you find yourself rooting for that happily ever after. Super relatable and achingly funny this book makes me want to go back and read anything that precedes it! Bravo ladies for a fun, flirty good time of a book!

Text and Confused is the sixth book in the Accidentally in Love series, and while they are all standalone stories, I would definitely recommend reading at the very least, as the supporting characters in this story are the main characters in Mistle Text, while Toni was a supporting character.

So, straight off, this was a world I was already familiar with. Toni is Archie's assistant, and having been screwed over by every single man she's ever dated, she's decided to give up on her usual 'type': generally working-class men. She's set her sights instead on Sumner, a well-healed fundraiser. So what if he doesn't make her swoon. He's dependable, with a regular income, and won't ruin her credit score. There's only one complication. The ridiculously hot construction manager Cooper. Cooper makes her swoon and want to do very bad things to him. But she's been there, right?

While I was initially annoyed with the whole working-class men ban, having read Mistle Text, I at least understood how bad things had been in her previous relationships. Of course, what she doesn't immediately realise is that Cooper is not only the manager, he's also the owner, and doing VERY well for himself. He's also having to fight classist labels from his own over-achieving family. I loved the immediate chemistry between Cooper and Toni. I was a little annoyed with the whole 'construction work is the lowest of the low' shtick throughout, particularly from Cooper's family (seriously, I thought Archie's were vile, but Cooper's could give his a run for their money). Faith makes her precocious return and steals every scene of course. Faith and Cooper's conversation over pancakes was particularly hilarious. My one real gripe was how rushed the ending felt. I wanted more Cooper and Toni actually together.

Overall this was a welcome addition to the series. I thought Cooper was pretty perfect, but Toni's blinkered attitude to Cooper frustrated me a little, and for that reason, I could only give this one four stars.

p.s. Could someone please tell Holly about 'Secret Smile'? It might not have been a hit in the US, but it was massive in the UK and definitely one of the best songs of the late '90s.(Not that I'm biased).

This is the perfect "curl up with a glass of wine, a blanket and a good book" book. It's light, its funny, its a little too relatable in places, lets face it, we've all made a prat of ourselves in front of a cute guy at some point.
It's a brilliant book to just escape into for a bit, that's why I finished it in a day.
There are alot of references to great rom-coms, a couple I havent actually seen. I'll definitely be researching the other books by these authors.

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book
