Toni is done with the type of men she has always been attracted to in the past. After years of being stolen from, lied to, and used she is going to start following her head and not her heart when it comes to relationships. So when she discovers it is not white collar, suit wearing Sumner she has been flirtatiously texting but contractor Cooper is is dismayed but undeterred. Cooper may be hot but is cocky and everything about him spells trouble. But they were really great texts...
Fun and entertaining from start to finish, it was so great to see Toni get her happily ever after. While this can easily be read as a stand alone,I also loved still getting to spend time with Holly and Faith (who continues to steal every scene she is in).
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
There's nothing Dineen and Summers could write that I wouldn't love. I'm completely convinced! Flirty texting, mistaken identity, witty dialogue, and characters you wish were your friends...this book has it all. The only thing that would make it better is if it were set at Christmas, but for that we have Mistle Text. While this is "book 6" in a series, each book is fine to be read as a standalone. You won't be lost at all. But do yourself a favour and pick up all of the others in the series anyway!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
Toni is trying to attract Mr Right, and has her eye on Sumner, a professional who makes a change from her usual type. She won't give Cooper a chance, so what will happen when she realises that is who she has been texting all along.
Love this series, and hoping there will be more books to come!
A cute and sweet romance that is at times so frustrating. Cooper is a great male main character. There were times I wanted to shake Toni. Overall the characters are appealing with little Faith stealing the show. I loved that kid. This is a charming slow burn romance that left me with a smile.
4.5⭐
This book was so so good and I read it within 24 hours, I just couldn't put it down! I honestly want my very own Cooper, I could have easily read the whole book from his POV, I love him. I loved the chemistry between the two MCs. I kept getting frustrated with the female MC but she did redeem herself towards the end. Highly recommend!
2.5 stars- This book was fine. The writing was average and the plot was average. One thing I have to comment on first is when there was going to be a Harry Potter dress up party and her date was going to go as Lucius Malloy, this is what the book says:
“ ‘Lucius Malfoy,’ my intended replies. I have no words. I leave the meeting so the men can finalize their plans. My first outing with Sumner is going to be a Harry Potter cosplay cruise with him dressed as the noseless wonder himself. There is no part of this scenario I saw coming.”
Seriously? By noseless wonder is she referring to Voldemort? Lucius Malloy very much has a nose. This seems like a glaring error!
Second, the way Toni treats Cooper throughout most of the book, especially after dumping Summer makes no sense. She’s just rude to him for no good reason. She’s also initially pretty rude to the owner at the inn where they stay, which almost makes her unlikeable.
Thirdly, why couldn’t Cooper just come out with the story about Summer and his sister? He had plenty of opportunity and it obviously made a difference in how she felt about him.
Overall this book was fine, but not one I’ll remember in a couple months time.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion!
Cute quick read. She has a type of guy she dates the bad boy look who barely works. He's not a bad boy but looks like one. She thinks she's texting a nice well educated working guy and that's where things get mixed up. It's a cute read. I liked the male character more then the female character. This is a part of a series but can be read as a a standalone. Faith one of the side characters is an adorable kid who makes you laugh!

I fell in love with Cooper and Toni's story, you could feel their chemistry from the moment they met. Their journey to HEA was really sweet. I haven't read other books from the series, but I enjoyed the side characters so much, they were good friends and complemented the story very well, Cooper was the perfect hero and I just couldn't wait for Toni to realize that. Amazing read. 5/5
Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy.
Entertaining and fluffy, but I've said it before and apparently I'll keep saying it, not enough interactions and romantic moments between Toni and Coop.
The texts I liked a lot, but it took a while for her to realize who she was really texting, I thought that could have been quicker and then when they finally get together it was too short, I always like to spend more time with the MC's as a couple. I was ok with how the Somner character was dealt with.
Is it weir if I read this books backwards? or should I start with the first one?
